period and vacation?

Question Posted Wednesday June 21 2006, 2:15 pm

I'm really nervous that this weekend at the beach I will get my period. My mom hasn't got me tampons yet cause I haven't even had my period for half a year. I can't go in the ocean and stuff though. And I am really scared I will get it over the fourth of July at the beach when MY WHOLE FAMILY is there. I want to perticipate in stuff and not worry about my period. What can I do?

Hey hon,

Don't worry tampons are everywhere... =] as dumb as that sounds they really are. Many gas stations and restuarants even have tampon dispensers... =] so just bring some change for the little machine and calm down! You'll have a great time at the beach! =] And always remember if you still feel uncomfortable about the situation go to a friends house and ask for a tampon that you can carry along with you! =] This is vacation hon! So just have fun at the beach and keep smiling! Hope I helped!

With love,
Amanda

Just tell your mother that you would like her to buy you some tampons just in case you get your period on vacation becasue chances are, shes thought about it or something. Just explain to her that you would feel much kmore comfortable if you had them with you on the vacation even if you don't have your period. If your mom won't buy you some, just buy som yourself but your mom shoud buy them for you.

Just go up to your mom and ask her to buy you some because chances are she'll think it's better to be safe than sorry! And if she doesn't you can always go out to the store yourself and buy them.

Don't complain to your mom.

Instead, go up to her and be like "Mom, you know how we're going to be beach this weekend? Yeah well, I'm supposed to get my period then so I'll have to wear a pad and you're not supposed to go in the water with a pad on! I want to be able to have fun!" She'll either suggest tampons or ask you what you want to do about it (that's when you tell her you're ready for tampons).

Well, the first thing you can do is just talk to your mom about it. I'm sure she is fine with talking to you about it, because she has her period too. Or, if you aren't comfortable with talking with her, you could go to your nearest store and buy some and buy a small make-up bag and put them in there and just slip them in your suitcase when you go to the beach. I suggest you buy lite tampons, because regular or heavy can look chunky or just be uncomfortable to use if you don't even have your period. If you do have your period, you can just tell your family you have to use the bathroom and just change it easily. Good luck and be sure you have fun at the beach and not just worry about your period the whole time. I hope I helped in some way =]

ask her if because youre not sure when youre going to get it, and because of the circumstances if she'll buy you lite tampons- just in case it comes. but watever you do- dont use a heavy or even a regular if youre not actually on your period. hope i helped!

xxsima answered Wednesday June 21 2006, 3:16 pm:
Talk to your mom and tell her that you are growing up, and tampons are designed for all ages. Tell her that you want to have fun and not just sit around, eating BBQ and talk, you want to swim and play. There are special tampons that are designed for first time users like you, they're called 'junior' or 'slender' tampons. They're sold with all of the other tampons. Tell your mom about those kinds of tampons. Maybe she'll reconsider. When I was 13, and I got my period, my aunt invited me to go to this really fun water park. I had my period and I was really bummed out because I had asked my mom if I could use a tampon, and she said that I was too young. Then I showed her a bunch of sites explaining tampons, and she reconsidered.

Hope I helped!

Tell your mom that you want to try tampons. It's not that hard. Or if you live near a store or somthing like that you can buy them on your own. There arent age limits on them. Then read the box to show you how to put them in if you don't have them in right they can be very painful. Also you may have a little pain anyways because if you have never had anything in you down there you will me tight. If you can't figure it out ask someone to show you how to do it. Also it may take a while to get it in the first few times. But then after a while you will become a pro like every one else that uses them regurly. Hope this helps. Good Luck In The Future.

Just tell your mom that you want to be prepared if you get your period. If you think about getting your period, you'll most likely get it. Just relax, you could always wear a pad then chance into a tampon before you go swimming or anything. ♥
