I want to lose a couple of pounds and i got the whole exrecise portion covered but my problem is healthy eating. I don't know what to eat that's healthy for me. I only want HEALTHY FOOD and the only thing that i know that is healthy is salad and i don't want to be eating that over and over again. It's breakfast time and i'm hungry. What are some healthy alternatives for breakfast, lunch and dinner?? I can go out and buy the foods i need just name some.
Meal 1:
1/2 cup oatmeal w/skim or 1% milk and your choice of fresh fruit, peanut butter, 1tsp cinnamon or 1 tsp of sugar
2 eggs any style- preferably poached
8 oz juice, milk, or water
Meal 2:
8 oz skinless chicken breast (preferably grilled)
8 oz pasta, or 2 slices of whole wheat bread
Diet soda, Milk, Juice, Water
Meal 3:
8 oz chicken, meat, or any fish
1 medium baked potato w/ pat of butter or sour cream
small salad (Easy on the dressing)
Water
This is a good beginners diet, it breaks down good high quality protein sources, and I tried to order your carbs ranging from slow digesting in the morning to faster digesting towards your last meal so you don't store much body fat at rest. [ MikeCFT's advice column | Ask MikeCFT A Question ]
XoXmAnDyXoX answered Wednesday June 21 2006, 6:05 pm: when it comes to snaking try and stik to fruits and vegtables, use whole weat product inseted of white, drink plenty of water. When it comes to pakadged foods look for the health check on the box or bag. Chiken breast and fish are low in fat.( that is when there not fried )

1 cup cereal with 1/2 cup soy mlk
1 banana
1 cup lite yogurt
Lunch -
Salad with grilled chicken and fat free dressing
Dinner -
1 medium baked chicken breast
1/2 cup white rice
Steamed or Baked vegetables
Snacks --
Strawberries
OR
2 Handfuls of Pretzels
OR
2 Handfuls of Microwave Popcorn
Diet 2 ;;
Breakfast --
2 Scrambled Eggs
1 Slice Wheat Bread with Light Margarine
1 spoonful of light jam
Lunch -
Healthy Choice frozen entree
OR
Turkey Sandwich with an apple or carrots
Dinner -
8-oz. steak with steamed vegetables
OR
Salad with turkey lunch meat and low-cal dressing
Snacks --
Handful of Almonds
OR
2 Oranges
OR
1 Can Diet Soda
Those are 2 diet plans that you can try out. I looked on the page, and there was a lot of fancy stuff, so I just sticked with most of the basics so you wouldn't have to go out and blow a bunch of money on food.
mmmmmmm answered Wednesday June 21 2006, 3:12 pm: if you drink a lot of water, that fills up your stomach so you won't be really healthy. also, there isa special k cereal 'lose 10 pounds in the waist'.. supposedly if you eat two bowls of it as two meals, you will lose 10 pounds around your waist!
