Alright, so, as it's probably helpful to know a little info about me, I'm 16, female. And I'm in love, I know it, I can feel it's true just as surely as I know that 2 x 2 = 4. I find myself having a whole new perspective, a whole new outlook, on life. I realize that whatever happens, it's going to be alright, because I'll have someone there by my side who I can trust with anyone, and we can be there for eachother through whatever happens. (btw, Thanks to anyone who answered my previous question, the answers have helped me realize that going to seperate colleges, while tough, is something we can handle.) Now, I know he loves me, and he talks as though whatever happens, we'll always be there for eachother, but am I doing the right thing? I mean, there doesn't seem to be a doubt in my mind about this, or him, or whether this is the real deal. But I feel like I should just step back and take one more look, I mean, I'm 16, and this isn't something that usually happens at this age. Any thoughts?

Your lucky to have found that at your age. I think that you are doing the right thing. and if along the way you decide you dont want to be tied down with a long distance relationship then end it. But whats the point in taking a step back and then losing everything you have? well thats my advice..

Ok... i see my boyfriend every day for at least 3 hours or so... well he works during the week...

is it weird that i miss him all day?

people tell me i'm too dependent on him but i just love him

and i miss him

thats fine! when you love someone you think about them all the time. and so you miss him! there is nothing wrong with that.

I've been tweezing my eyebrows for a while now but it's getting too difficult to find a shape I like. Today I'm going to get them waxed but I'm nervous. Will it hurt alot? Will I be really sore afterwards? Do the people who do it find the shape they like for you?

Thanks!

Yes it will hurt, but only for a few seconds. It will be red for a few hours afterwards, but it will go away. And you can ask the person who is doing it for you about the last question because i think it depends on the person.

Hope i helped!

Can you change you name on Advicenators with out having to make a new accout and without having to pay?

no, i dont think so. but if you are extremely unhappy with your name you can just make a new account and have a user name that you like.

I am 13 and I'm a female. A few of my guy friends seem to act real nice around me, but when they're around each other, they say bad things about me. I'd like to know if I can trust them.

well, you cant trust them if you know they say mean things behind your back. i dont think those are the kinds of friends you want.

My next door neighbor is this beautiful, green eyed angel to me. We spend all our time together, late nights till 5 and 6 in the morning just cutting up and looking at the stars. We share everything in common, even the lil things we love each other for. Ive known her about 4 months now and we have gotten very close, romantic settings, kissing hugging etc. Now heres the punch line .. shes 24 and married and she has her own kid.

I mean ive raised kids all my life and this is no big deal to me but I dunno what to do .. leave her to her life or start a relationship when shes divorced

well if you really love her, you have to respect that she is with another man. yet if she is kissing you, they will def need to divorce. and once that happens, i say go for it.

All my friends are so much prettier and skinnier than me, and it lowers my self esteem. They are always the ones that get all the guys attention, and I hardly get any. I know it shouldnt matter at all, but it still bothers me. My friends dont treat me badly or anything, but im always worried that they are secretly thinking lower of me. Any suggestions on how to quit becoming so jealous and to stop thinking Im not good enough for my friends?

Hey I know how you feel. Everyone would always say my best friend was pretty and not me. and my self esteem kind of dropped too. But you just gotta try to not let it get to you. Just know that your pretty too. And just because they are pretty that doesn't take away your beauty. There isn't much else to say. I still feel this way sometimes. Its completely normal to feel this way. But learn not to care, and im sure some guys would give you attention too.

hey i just really want a guy. im attractive and pretty popular but i cant get a guy! im in 7th grade.. ive asked out a couple of guys in 8th and they automatically say no because i think they think its a joke. one time i gave a guy a note saying it wasnt a joke and he never wrote back.. i guess he wasnt interested but idk what to do! idk how to apporach a guy that i dont know, and want to go out. i've had boyfriends before and all but its been real hard lately. could you help me please? i rate 5 on anything that answers. ~thanks~

you shouldn't try so hard. 8th graders probably thought you were too young. try going for someone you are really interested in. you seem to be wanting it so bad just to prove to yourself you can get guys. and they probably thought it was a joke because your a 7th grader. At this point in time age kind of does matter. And the truth is, you dont really NEED a guy. Wait for the one you really like. And to get a guy, maybe you could be friends first. Then get to know them. And THEN ask them out. Well hope i helped! And dont worry, there will be many more guys!

Alright, I'm in love. Starstruck. Head over heels. And not just the lust, or the initial fireworks, and infatuation. This is the real deal, and I know it because I no longer think forst of my own needs. I think first of his, and what he's thinking or feeling, and his perspective on life. There's always been something about him, even before he knew how I felt, that's made me feel secure, and I knew that even if he could never love me back, I wanted to be good friends with him throughout college and the rest of my life. (I'm going into my senior year of high school.) Now, we might be going to colleges far from eachother, and I know that it's a lot of work trying to keep a long-distance relationship working. It's certainly something I'm willing to do, but it's so incredibly hard even when I don't see him for a week, how will I handle maybe a month, even two at a time? I'm very afraid of losing the incredible closeness and trust that we have right now, even though it doesn't seem to be something that should be a concern. Having him by my side in life, and with whatever I do, because we have very similar interests, is something so special to me, and especially in college, having him there to help with classes and to study together and laugh about geeky questions (I guess we're very nerdy ;) ) is something that would really help, that I almost feel I can't do without. I don't really know what to do. (Okay, this site says I'm supposed to include my age and gender. I'm sixteen, and, as you probably gathered, female.)

aww thats so cute! if you really love him then id try and make it work. text message, talk on the fone, IM eachother, write letters, and things like that as much as you can. And try to visit eachother as much as possible. I know its gunna be hard for you, but the love your talking about may never come again. You should still try to be together. and if you can get through this, you can get through anything. About the similar interest part you said, how about you tell him everything thats going on with you and you guys could still laugh about everything together, even if you are away from eachother. It will be hard, and you will have temptations, but if i were you i would def try. if it doesnt work out, then thats the way it was meant to be.

good luck with that!

what r the coolest hairstyles and the coolist clothes and the coolest shops in the mall and how do you scrunch your hair? ill rate high^^^^^

hairstyles? probably the bangs to the side right now.. and just whatever you think looks good.

clothes? american eagle, aeropostale, abercrombie, hollister, papaya, red eye, forever 21, stuff like that.

you scrunch your hair by simply squeezing your hair from the bottom up, when your hair is wet. and you just keep lifting it up, and it gets kind of curly, and just keep doing it. then you might want to put sumthing in your hair to make it stay.. i cant explain scrunching very well so i hope you get what im saying..

btw- dont worry about being cool, do what you like.

hope i helped.

ok i'm almost 13, i havent gotten my period yet and all my other friends have. should i be worried? i mean im 53 and 120 lbs what should i do?

no dont be worried. some people just start later. especially if you do sports like gymnastics or ballet. if you do something like that, your period comes later. you dont need to do anything. most of my friends started around that age. trust me there is nothing wrong, and consider yourself lucky. though, your period will probably come pretty soon!
