Eyebrows

Question Posted Monday July 18 2005, 12:22 pm

I've been tweezing my eyebrows for a while now but it's getting too difficult to find a shape I like. Today I'm going to get them waxed but I'm nervous. Will it hurt alot? Will I be really sore afterwards? Do the people who do it find the shape they like for you?

Thanks!

It doesn't hurt very much, but it feels a little funny afterwards, like something's stuck to your skin, and it'll be a little pink for maybe an hour or two. Usually they will find the perfect shape to go with your face, these people are very experienced and know what will look nice. Hope this helps!

I've personally never had them waxed. I've had them threaded. Sounds painful, but its not. It lasts for a good 3-4 weeks and the lady shapes them for you. The first time you may feel a pull but after going several times, it no longer hurts. So if the waxing doesnt turn out the way you like, try that next time! =)

hope i helped.!

Teza answered Monday July 18 2005, 1:55 pm:
It will hurt just a little but not really bad. Your eyes might get a little teary but thats normal. It wont be swollen but it will be red so when you go home just keep putting lotion so the redness gos away. The people who do it will ask you what shape and everything so you can just tell them if they could help you out with that. ll ♥ ll

No it won't hurt too much..you'r eeyes will tear but it's really not something that hurts like hell! No it won't be sore afterwards you're skin will just be red so i suggest making it the last thing on you're todo list for today so ur not walkin around with a red face! l0l! Depending on the sensitivity of your skin, is how long the redness will stay for some people it's only a couple hours while for other it doesnt fade until the next morning. The people who do the waxing are professionals so they really know a shape that will fit your face so you can just let them do it btu if you want you can say i like a higher arch or dont make them too thin..you can set guidelines for them or you could just let them do what they do! In my case I let them do it and it always turns out good! hope i could help..x0x0 *Caitie*

Yes it will hurt, but only for a few seconds. It will be red for a few hours afterwards, but it will go away. And you can ask the person who is doing it for you about the last question because i think it depends on the person.

Hope i helped!

ThonqyFriends answered Monday July 18 2005, 12:41 pm:
It won`t be painful.. but it will just feel like takinq off a bandaide. And it also depends on the spot you get waxed. if you get right above your eye and below your eyebrow waxed that hurts alot more then just in the middle. And they will find a shape for you depenedinq on like your bone structure and natural shape of your eyebrows. hope i helped hunn ! =)

cokecap_x21 answered Monday July 18 2005, 12:35 pm:
well you could either tell them you want it the shape of a celebrity's eyebrows [[like look ina catalog and cut out her face and tell her that those are eyebrows you want]] or you could ask her what shape would suit your face because eyebrows define your face. Its just like takeing off a bandaid really fast, only a tad harder. It'll hurt for a little bit and it might be sensitive but after about one day or less it should go away. And it doesnt hurt that bad. Dont be nervious there going to look GREAT!! and by the way it might be red around there for about 2-3 house but the redness goes away :)

They usually do a really good job but i usually make sure how i want it, because once time they waved all but like 5 hairs off my eyebrows haha it was horrible. The pain? Eh. it will just sting a little. dont be worried about it, they will do a good job, just go to a good place. good luck! <3

I think that you get to pick your shape but you can always ask them which one they think looks best on you! It does hurt just like getting anyother part of your body waxed but it doesn't hurt for long!

when i get mine done i just kind of plop down and go "whatever you think will look good- but not to thin" and the lady nods her head and does whatever. LOL. But um it doesn't hurt really. I use to tweeze mine but i kept messing it up, but after she waxes it she touches it up - that for me hurts the worse cause they are sore already. but just find something to think about and relax, (but they will get red n swell a bit afterwards) and if you play sports a lot make sure you put something for zits/black heads on it because i didn't once and went to soccer practice and i had zits all around my eyebrows.
