Ok this could be long! I am in 8th grade and last year there was a kid in my class. EvEryone made fun of him and he was bipolar and had some mental problems. Well, yesterday 11/3. He attempted suicude for the second time. He jumped from the bak of a moving school bus and he is now in acoma. He broke his arm and probably his bak and neck too. He isn't dead though. ThEre was BLooD everywhere. The first time he tried to stab himself with scissors. I feel really bad because I was one to make fun of him. How can i make myself not feel so bad? Ok well first of all what are you? Flyer.. Backspot.. or base. if your a flyer then go up totally clean.. and then hit it on a certain count and be really tight so you don't fall, and make sure your don't lean back or you will probablly tip over. if your a base then make sure your not too far away from the other base bk that makes it alot harder and heavier, and lift some weights so you have stronger arms and legs bk without strong legs you will be a sucky base and it will be wicked hard.. And if your a backspot (like me) than make sure to start you don't go down on your knee but like squat so when you push her butt up you have alot more power. And make sure to pull up really hard.. if you leave red marks on the flyers ancles that means your doing a good job. hope i helped. xo courtney

Why should I be a Seventeen Reader Model? There are so many reasons but I’ll tell a few. Well, let me just introduce myself before I begin.
My name is Rashidat but everyone calls me Rashida. I recently turned 13. I’m in the 8th grade at the Tenney Grammar School in Methuen. I am African American and half Nigerian. I love playing basketball, expressing my self in creative ways like poetry and being the wild and crazy me! I think I should be the Seventeen Reader Model because I have a beautiful and unique look, I’d be a fabulous role model to people of all ages and I am a hard worker.
My look is very unique. I’ve seen the models that are signed with Ford on the site and I think none of them have a look as different and unique as mine. I am 5 feet 11 inches, skinny, I have dark brown/black hair and I have gorgeous brown skin. My eyes are dark brown, small and spread apart which brings a diverse look to my face. I have long tremendous toned arms and my shoulders aren’t to broad or small. My legs are lengthy and have a stunning and different look and shape. I have a toned body from playing sport and being active everyday. My look has the potential to bring attention and a different style to this industry.
I would make a wonderful role model for people of all ages. I am very kind and always bring the best out of everyone. I am smart, loving, and love to talk. I try to think positive and do everything the best I can. I could show girls many things like for example how to love themselves for who they are. I’m a typical teenage girl that knows how other people my age may feel and I’d know exactly how to help girls with problems. I give great advice and I know how to talk to people. These qualities can help girls relate to me and look up to me for being a great person.
Another reason that would make me the perfect Seventeen Reader Model is the fact that I’m a hard worker. I work hard in everything I do. I stride for the best and I never give up without at least trying. I’m very committed and I try to succeed in things I’m interested in doing or love to do, which causes me to never be known as a quitter.
Last thing I would like to tell you that would make me fantastic for this prize is that I’d love to be a model. I dream big and currently this is my dream I want to be the girl in beautiful pictures expressing her emotion with a simple pose. I'd love to be on the runway marching down with confidence. I want to be the girl everyone wants to meet because how much she sticks out and how different she is. And when they meet me they find out I'm no different from them.
After reading this I hope you got an idea of who I am. If I was the Seventeen Reader Model I would be a great addition to Ford Models. If you choose me for this wonderful prize I would do nothing but make things better. I may not have experience in modeling but I can strike a pose, I’m pretty photogenic and I can even do runway modeling. I can walk in heels and I’m willing to wear or try anything. I’d not only take beautiful pictures, I’d help girls by being a good role model. I am a beautiful and unique looking girl, a terrific role model and a hard worker which would make the perfect Seventeen Reader Model.

Ok.. i do modeling too and i`m also 13. That's pretty good.. but you should maybe take out some "gorgeous and besutiful's" whenever your describing yourself. Models are suppose to be confident, and you don't want to come off as cocky. And also.. models don't get picked becuase they are pretty. (even tho it helps) You should say why you want to be a model and say stuff about how you love fashion and make-up and everything, insted of just saying how pretty you are. good job and good luck.. xo court

I'm about 10, 15 pounds overweight and I'm trying to lose weight. I've always heard diet and exercise, but since I'm not EXTREMELY overweight, would it really matter if I went on a diet and instead just exercised. Would it work? I mean yes I would cut back on food a bit (especially snacks) but I don't eat too unhealthy anymore especially since I stayed at about the same weight for the passed yr. (I gained about three pounds when I've gained the extra 15 from three years before, thats about 5 a year and I cut down my food and only gained 3!) The problem is I am terrible at exercise, I hate running and playing and bikeriding but I've also put off exercise so I never really was very active. So, if I get on a schedule and actually DID my workouts, could I just stick with my regular diet I'm on now? (Except add breakfast, I've heard that helps and probably eat lunch every day (unless I REALLY hate the school lunch or forget money) Right now I don't eat breakfast, I hardly eat lunch, I eat a snack when I get home (usually chips) and dinner (except on some weekends I may get hungry at night and eat). Thanks!

Also, if anybody has any exercises I can do to work my legs (upper and lower), stomach, and butt that would be much appreaciated also!!

I think I have seen this question on here before. I'm not sure, but I really want to get a job. I only want to work weekends though. Okay well since your so young.. there isn't that many options. You might be able to work at a fast-food place but that`s kinda gross if you ask me. You could walk dogs, and water plants and mow neighbors lawns and stuff. But the best would be to go to your local hospital (or the one closet near you) and take a babysitting coarse. And then you will get a license/permit or w/e and they put pics and information about the people who passes in the hosptial and mom's notice it. And you can take flyers about babysitting and go to daycares and post them on bullitin boards because daycares are full of parents looking for babysitters ! hope i helped babe..

my hair is layered around my shoulders at the longest. the longer part always flips out, and the shorter layer flips under. if i were to get my hair cut to the shorter layer would it all flip the same way or would half my hair be flipped out and half flipped under?
