Hey! First off, i'm going to start by saying I came here on this site to give people advice. Some people actually don't know the real meaning of advice. They think its the answers they want to hear. But i'm not here for that. I'll give you advice, and it might be something you don't want to hear. But deal with it! You may take my advice or not, its completely up to you and you are not gaurnteed a correct solution.

Ok so now that's clear, I'll talk to you more about myself. Hence the username... I play volleyball. It is my passion and basically my life since I've played for about 7 years. Most of my friends say i'm 50/50 tomboy and girly girl. I LOVE sports!! I play volleyball all year round, and then I go to the park during free times to play some soccer, football, hockey, basketball or baseball with my friends. But then again, I could be inside trying on my new Sephora makeup i'd just gotten, or reading the latest Seventeen magazine or even arranging my clothes for school tomorrow.

You can ask me just about anything and i'll be happy to answer it. You can count on a full and detailed answer.

Oh and another thing... I love getting feedback! Even if its a negative comment. It tells me what I need to work on or even what I did correct.

My boyfriend and I have been dating for almost 4 years and I love him alot. Things are pretty good in our relationship, we don't really fight or anything.

Anyways, he recently got a job and he got a cellphone. I was putting my parents phone number into his phone and noticed there were two girls numbers in there that I've never seen or heard about. As I was doing that, he got a text message from one of the girls. And it simply said "Hey". Then the next day I went to use his phone to text message my sister and noticed that his inbox had been cleaned out. So of course, I get the feeling that he's hiding something..

Basically, it this harmless text messaging that's going on between them or should I be concerned? It's really none of my business who she is, but I'm curious as to where he got the number. I don't know if it's my place to ask him, let alone even know how to approach him about it.

Any advice/help would be great!

Well you can't know for sure. The best thing to do is just talk to him about it and say "hey who's (insert a girls name here)?" and he will just explain. If he asks why, just say "I don't know who she is, thats all" and if he still doesn't know what you mean, just be like "I was just wondering"

When you talk to him about it, look at his body language. If he seems nervous, then obviously he is cheating on you. but if he is his normal self, it could just be friends.

omg when people hate teachers y do they have to go and make a fuckingg myspace group or facebook group about it? its not even funny because i know if i were the teacher i would find it soo embarassing and totally heart breaking.

im really upset right now because one of my teachers who was just kinda cool b/c he let us get away with so much stuff ACTUALLY has one of those dumbass, whiny-kid hate groups on myspace and there are stupid pictures of him and everything and all the kids are like whining "OMG HE FAILED ME CUZ HE IS RACIST" how stupid is that?? first of all the guy who complained and my teacher are both white! i think teenagers these days are so lazy and dumb and really are just too self centered. and the worst part is the group was created by somebody that i thought was pretty nice and i wanted to be friends with her. now i found out she's just as judgmental as the rest.

high school is so depressing.

anyway my ranting is over..i just need some advice to deal with this.

I agree with you, they are just big jerks who care too much about themselves. Just ignore them and get on with life. Its not your problem... its theirs.

If this really bothers you though, you can go up to the teacher and show him/her the website. I'm not sure but I think that they can suspend or even expell the students for doing that. Or you can talk to your principal of the high school if you're uncomfortable talking to the teachers.

ewww... i've had that happen to me before. Isn't it like when you try to swallow but you can't?

Drink lots of fluids. you probably just have cottonmouth. (when your mouth is sooo dry!) you should be drinking like 2 liters of water a day.

PS: don't purposely throw up because that acid is bad for your throat and I saw on discovery channel that if you are bulimic or just always throwing up, then the acid in your throw up damages your vocal chords and if you do it many times... then pretty soon you'll lose your voice forvever and do permanent damage to your throat.

I think the reason why he said no to all of your friends is because he likes you, but he wants YOU to ask him out... not your friends. Having your friends ask out a guy for you just shows the guy that you're too shy to ask him out yourself. I bet that tanner really likes you (considering that he plays footsie with you and has a lot of fun around you) and he want you to ask him out, nor your friends.

just ask him to a movie or to hang out one day.

this is really bugging me, and i can't tell for sure. so i need you guys to help me out. :]

- he told me that he was cold and i felt his hand, so basically he let me, and didn't pull away.
- we talk a lot, joke around a lot, and are happy when we're around each other.
- he tells me about his personal life.
- when we face each other, his legs are always outstreched and are merely just a few inches away from mine.

does he like like me or does he just like me as a friend? how can i 'flirt back'?

it seems to me that he is interested in you... but i'm not completely sure. Try hanging around him (but don't let him see you) and see how he acts towards other girls. If he is doing the same things that he did to you, towards the other girls.. then he probably doesn't like you in that way. But if he acts shy and weird around other girls, then theres a big chance he likes you.

Other than spying on him..lol.. just flirt around with him and see what his response is. (be like "god this weekend is going to be so boring for me. I really wanna hang out with someone" and see what he says. If he is like "oh yeah, me too!" then he wants to hang out with you. but if he is like "oh i'm going to be doing this and that etc." then he obviously doesn't really care.)

maybe you can ask him to hang out one day, like bowling with friends, or movie with friends etc. and see how he acts. If he is mad/sad one time and then he is happy the next because you walked into the room, or talked to him etc. then he likes you. If he stays the same, he probably doesn't.

Im in this play at my school and opening night is coming up and I'm nervous! There is going to be alot of people watching and in my role, i have to tell the story to the auidence, like a narrator. Any advice to make the nervousness go away?

P.S My first play! Its called "Antigone".

I heard in a movie that when you're nervous, thats a good sign that means you're ready. Take deep breaths, drink water maybe eat something... and go out there and be yourself.

I know where you're coming from, I get so nervous whenever I need to do a presentation. But after I'm finished with it, I feel great!

Just remember
- talk slowly (even if you think you're talking really slow, you're actually not because most of the time you're rambling on and on and no one can understand you. so talk slow)
- body position is important, don't slouch, or sit or cross your arms or anything like that. Just stand up straight and have your arms rest at your side, or have them folded in front of you, or behind you.
- and just relax!!! have fun and you should enjoy this, not spaz out about it.

If it helps, try listening to your favorite song before showtime so then you get pumped up. Or talk to your best friend to help get your nerves setteled down.

what the heck is steriotyping mean??? is it like a person who labels peopl or what cauz ive been called a steriotyping kind of person adn i really dont think i am cuz i dont label myself i only identify what other peopl are cauz thats what everyone else already knows them as so like wats the big deal about steriotyping???

stereotyping is just what you described... labeling people. So like saying someone is a preppy.. thats sterotyping. Or like druggies, nerds, jocks, etc. Like clique names.

If someone calls you a stereo type person, then they think that you like to label people for what they are interested in. (for example, I LOVE sports.... so your friends would think that you would label a person who loves sports, a jock.)

Stereotyping is actually not good. because you are labeling people for what they are interested in, and not whats in their heart. Theres so many people out there who like to do 1 thing, but in their heart they can be liking another thing. For example ( a person who has straight A's, homework always done, great attendance.. you'd call them a nerd right??? well how do you know?? maybe in heart, they love to play sports. or maybe they like to go shopping, or date.

You can never tell what a person is like, just by lookig at what they enjoy most. You need to get to know people first before you judge on what stereo type they are.

[I know no one can give me a definate answer, I'm just looking for a vague estimation]

I'm a little bit chubby, not obese or anything [I'm naturally skinny I just eat too much and do no exercise]

So I went from doing no exercise and eating like a pig all the time to having track practice for an hour and a half 5 times a week, and eating well.
About how soon will I start seeing results? I only started Monday, but I can already feel my muscles toning up a little.

well I used to do track and I could see results (running lenghs) in about a month. But as for you, I'm guessing you want to lose a few pounds and gain more muscle?? Well if thats the case, then you'll probably see results in about 3-5 weeks. What helps is if you make a chart. So for example- for me its running lenghs....

Monday- 1 minute around the track
tuesday- 58 seconds around the track
wednesday- 55 seconds around the track...
etc etc etc

so for you, you could do like

calves-monday- 30lbs
calves- tuesday- 40 lbs
calves- wednesday- 50 lbs

and FYI i'm talking about how much weight you can lift with your calves.

so if you make a chart, you will be able to see the changes and how much you've improved. It doesn't even have to be like every day. It could be like every week instead.

Ok im 14 & im a female.

Me & my boyfriend just started dating & i like him alot. Problem is, im in the 8th grade & hes in the 7th grader(but he failed so hes suppose to be in 8th grade), so we have no classes together. And he has to take intensive classes so we cant have electives together either. The good thing though is I live in the neighborhood right next to his, so I can walk over there, even though its a 15 minute walk. But still, we obviousley dont hang out as much as he wants us too, because this is the 2nd time we went out, & last time he broke up with me because we never got to see each other. And now hes telling people how he likes me alot but never gets to see me. The thing is, I hang out with him as much as i can, alot of days after school & on the weekends. I mean i cant hang out with him everyday, because i do have a life of my own after all, even though i like him alot, i still want time for school work & my friends & my family, you know?

So my question is, what can I do to maintain this relationship, should i even try, & will this be able to work out for much longer?

relationships are hard... but sometimes you need to decide if it's worth it.

You gotta admit... you can't just see him everyday and not catch up with your family, and friends right?? so you need to talk to him. Talk to him and ask him if its worth keeping the relationship. Tell him exactly what you said in here. That you have a life and its not possible to be with him everyday. If he dumps you over that, then he's not even worth it because the guys that absolutely adore you are the guys who will understand that kind of stuff. So if he dumps you over that reason, then he proably doesn't even like you that much and just wants a girlfriend.

I really want to lose some weight in my body, what are some exercises I can do?

My dad says to work-out every other day because if you work out every day then you get a lot of sore muscles and you can rip a lot of them.


So lets start on monday. Monday- start out with your upper body strength... so that would be, biceps, triceps, abs, chest, obliques, and your back.

biceps- do about 100 push=ups a day. I know that seems like a lot. But there's 24 hours in 1 day. That means that you don't have to do 50 push-ups all in one. You can do 10... then break for 10 minutes... then another 10... then break. and keep on going. What I always do is do however many push=ups it takes for a commercial in the TV to end. Then when the show comes back on, i'll watch it.

Go to your local gym or if you have some dumbbells at home, find your appropriate weight (for me its 20lbs per arm) but you can start off easier. And lift dumbbells.

Triceps- weight lifting with dumbbells. have your arms down by your side and then lift one arm up and bend it so that the hand is by your chest and your elbow by your hip. do 10 and 5 reps. 30 sec. - 1 min. break.

ABS- Do about 200 situps a day. ((again, its not that much if you do like 20 and then break, 20, break etc.))

Another exercise is lay down flat on your back, then hold on to something that is sturdy (like a chair, or couch) then lift your feet up and get them to be vertical ( so you are forming your body like an L) Then slowly lower your legs, but do not touch them to the floor. Then lift them back up. If you want it tougher... then lower them to 1 side, but don't tip your body over.

Oh and here's 1 more- again lay down and hold onto something sturdy. Then roll your legs up into your stomach ( like the fetal position ) and roll yourself up so that your back is no longer touching the floor. So the only thing touching the floor would be your shoulders. Then slowly roll back down but keep your legs rolled into your stomach. Don't drop them to the floor! then roll back up and repeat.

this is one of my favs., its called the BOAT. and its kinda hard to explain but i'll try my best. Lay down on a flat surface on your back. then sit up and bend your knees ((so a sit=up position)) now lift your feet off the ground so the only thing touching the floor should be your tailbone ((right above your butt)). Extend your arms out in front of you and just be in that position for 1 minute. You are probably going to start shaking because whenever I do it, I always shake. But thats a good thing because then you know it's working your muscles. If you don't feel it, then try leaning backwards and extending your legs out a little ((keeping them bent still))



Chest- lay on a bench and have your arms extended out so you are like a T. Then have weight in both hands and then slowly bring them up. Then slowly bring them down back to T position. Do 10... 5 reps and 30 sec. break.

Obliques- get into sit-up position. Then do the boat except have your feet in the sit-up position. then take your hands and both of them touch your left foot, then your right foot, left, right. Do about 25 and then rep. 4 X and 30 sec break. then do the same thing except in stead of touching your feet, touch the floor by your side.

Back- doing yoga will help your back muscles, so try doing that.


that's all for upperbody strength...

then Wednesday do lower body strength. Quads, Calves

Quads- WALL SITS- really simple to learn, pretend like you are sitting on a chair... having your back against a wall and there's no support under your butt. Have your legs be at a 90 degree angle. So it looks like you are sitting on a chair, but actually without one.

KING SQUATS- kinda hard. Have a bench or couch behind you. Have one foot on there and the other stretched and bent out in front of you. so it looks like a lunge. The leg that is in the back, has to be higher than your other leg. Slowly lower your back leg so it is parallel with the other leg. Then come back up.

LUNGES- same thing as a king squat, but without the bench/couch. So stand up straight, let 1 foot come out in front of you and bend both knees. Make sure that the front knee isn't over your toes... So if it is over your toes, then you need to step out farthur. Make sure your front knee is parallel to your toes. Then hold this position for 30 seconds and break. switch legs. also make sure that your knees do not touch the floor.

Calves-

find a wall, then lean on the wall with your back against it but have your feet out a little. then bring your toes up and slowly let them down but don't let them hit the floor. Then again raise them up and slowly let them down. Do about 100.

Ladders

find paint tape (( it's blue or someother color that you can see )) and make the tape look like a ladder on the floor. ((kind of like hop-scotch?)) but just boxes in front of each other. Maybe 10 boxes?

here are some more steps you can follow-

in, in, out, out (going straight)

out, in, in, out (going diagonal)

2 feet in each box, 1 foot in each box.. forward/sideways/backwards

make sure you do this with your toes only touching the floor, if you have your whole foot on the floor each time you step, it makes a stomping sound and thus it will not work. Make sure you can't hear anything and that your heels are off the ground.


Then Friday- is just exercising... like jumproping, biking, running, play any type of sports, swimming etc.

Then you have the weekend to break. I know that only doing it 3x a week seems like not a lot... but if you do it everyday, you're tearing your muscles apart and that can cause major pain.

Drink protein shakes, eat vitamins, minerals, rest, take hot and cold baths, and STRETCH!! everytime you are done.




If you follow all of those steps, then you'll definitally reach your goal. You just need to have the right attitude and never quit. Don't throw away all of your hard work!!

hun, friendship always always ALWAYS comes before relationships.

You can be friends with tessa forever... but theres no way in heck that you and a guy will be together forever. Don't throw away your friendship over a guy. Its ok that you both like the same guy, but don't make any sort of move. Let HIM make the decision.

There are casting directors coming to my town from the Disney Channel show and from the people of Transformers. Me and my friend made an appointment and they just said we're going to read a short script on camera. But this girl at school said they just want your money (the lady didn't mention money on the phone). I'm not sure. I still want to go, but are they really going to do that?

Proably not... I mean just think of how much money they already get! there are millions and millions of kids out there who watch Disney channel... and I bought the DVD transformers because it was very good. I think that they are not doing this for money, because they already have like buckets of money.

What is the movie/book

I read the book and saw the movie... but that was probably like 2 years ago and i can't remember what happened. I remember some parts but its like the boy gets 2 dogs, then they are hunting a lot and one of the dogs gets hurt and sick... then slowly starts to die. The other dog is depressed that his friend is dying so the other dog is also sad and won't eat. Then they both eventually die and the boy buries the dogs and plants a red fern on top of the graves so that he will always remember them and where they are.

PS: be prepared to cry!! I did after reading that book. Oh and on my personal opinion, the books are always better than the movies. Because in the books, you get to imagine how the scene is. You get to imagine what the characters look like and the area. you get a mental picture. The books are longer, more exciting, and has lots more details.

I have a flat stomach and my legs are very toned. My problem is my arms. My bicepts are okay as far as I'm concerned, but my tricepts are horendous. I need to tone them and I'm hoping to see some progress by say...June? If that's possible and if not I'll settle for September. What is the easiest and fastest way to tone tricepts. I'm not asking for a list of tricpt excercizes. I have that. I'm asking which one you have used in the past that worked really well and should show atleast some results, but the time I asked. I have 1-3 lb weights and this stretchy cord with handles on the end, but I'm willing to go out and buy something, so please. HELP! haha
