CASTING DIRECTORS

Question Posted Wednesday November 28 2007, 3:53 pm

There are casting directors coming to my town from the Disney Channel show and from the people of Transformers. Me and my friend made an appointment and they just said we're going to read a short script on camera. But this girl at school said they just want your money (the lady didn't mention money on the phone). I'm not sure. I still want to go, but are they really going to do that?

yes, they definately just want your money. My friend did something like that and she said they told basically everyone who had any experience at all to sign up for acting classes with them and get a portfolio which costs a lot of money. The audition itself does not cost money, but if you wish to do anything further then, yes it will and those auditions are just to get money. They have enough actors and actresses as it is and they honestly have no other reason for being interested in a random girl other than for her money. Sorry =(

Hope this helped.

most of the time they do just want your money.
they will tell you you are good and you should get a portfolio which is around 2K.
but you can still go and check it out. they might not do that, but most of them do. but if they do ask for money don't give them any no matter what they say.

hope i helped :)

Proably not... I mean just think of how much money they already get! there are millions and millions of kids out there who watch Disney channel... and I bought the DVD transformers because it was very good. I think that they are not doing this for money, because they already have like buckets of money.

I also think that the person who told you that, might be jealous and is trying to get you out of it. ** jealousy is the highest form of flattery **
