Dial-up would be the slowest, and there isn't really a clear order for the others you mentioned.
You see DSL (delivered over the phone line) and cable internet (obviously delivered over the cable you get tv on) are both broadband (fast) connections. One cable company might be faster than one DSL provider, but another cable company might be faster than them. You see what I mean?
Basics: If you have cable or DSL you have fast internet. If you have dialup, you have slow internet.

Hi there,
Research is really a good idea before you get a piercing. You don't have a body part called an "industrial" and as such your "industrial" isn't pierced.
It is a style of piercing. Because of the two aligned holes being held usually by one bar, there is a long healing time. In fact it can take a full year to heal.
If it is doing something other than what the piercer told you it would do, then go back and see them again about it or make an appointment with your regular doctor for a second opinion.
When you make the appointment try not to say you "had your industrial pierced" because they will probably laugh at you and you don't need that right now.

okay so i have a cold sore, but its not like a sore or anything yet, its just a bumb on my lip, and i know its going to become a sore soon, and i want it to go away like now. i dont want to go to school with it tomorrow because i am very self concious about the way i look and i dont want this on my lip for everyone to make fun of me and say i have herpes when i dont! so does anyone have any home remedies that they have used that will work? i am using abreva, ice and rubbing alchoal now. so anything else?

You mentioned that you weren't hurt. People getting t-boned in an intersection usually get hurt or killed. That made it look like you were the one doing the hitting. I am very glad you weren't hurt. Pretty much a miracle.
In this case it could have been stated vaguely so as to avioid saying who it was exactly that did the red-light running.
No blame is being placed here, it was just a bit vague which made it look suspiciously like someone was avoiding stating thing plainly to avoid incriminating themselves. ;-)

I am sorry that you have done something that has left you feeling this way. :-(
There are some things you should do:
One: Go to the doctor/clinic and get tested for all known STDs. Doesn't matter what he says about being clean. Even if he hasn't lied to you he doesn't know for sure. Even if he has been tested, there are things that there is no test that works for men.
After the initial test, make sure you go back every 3 months for the first year, then as often as they tell you for the next 3 years. (AIDS doesn't show up right away.)
If you haven't been having regular doctor visits, now is the time to start. HPV (genital warts, no test for men on this one) causes cervical cancer, and it is EXTREMELY common. The earlier cancer is found the better chance you have of living through it.
I am sorry to just put it all out there like this. But these are the facts everyone needs to know when they are in this situation. :(
Don't be ashamed to go to the doctor. If you are old enough to feel like you are ready for sex, you are old enough to talk with a doctor about having sex.
I sincerely hope that you are well and healthy. Please use this experience to make certain you are ready in the future. If you are ok this time (which you won't really know for at least 3 years) nobody gets lucky every time.
Oh, and don't forget to tell the doctor if you have engaged in any other form of sex. You can get STDs from any form of sex, even using condoms. Proven fact.

I'm asking this on behalf of a friend who is unsure of what to do.
He's getting a divorce from a woman who cheated on him and carried a baby for nine months saying it was his before kicking him out of their house and telling him it isn't.
The lawyer she hired is a pro bono lawyer and is putting a lot of pressure on him to sign a document before tomorrow at 3 PM.
There's nothing really to fight over, but he's concerned that the lawyer is not making things fair for him.
He makes about $15 an hour, works full time, and is being asked to pay $600 a month in child support plus half of medical and all court costs.
There's no property to fight over. He's been paying money to what they both agreed was fair for child support. He's still paying for a credit card debt she racked up since before they were married. He's been agreeing to pay it off just so his soon to be ex wouldn't pressure more money from him.
He doesn't mind paying money to his kids. He pays more now, but doing it yourself and being forced to on paper and so on makes it feel unfair to him.
I'm not looking to get in the middle (I know I am since I'm asking for advice), but I wanted some tips on if I might suggest calling lawyers or if this sounds fair and it isn't of any use to fight this. He doesn't want to stir the pot and pay more out for a lawyer when it won't do any good. Any tips from divorced dads on this case?

Just about the worst mistake that could be made here is to sign that document without a lawyer of his own having a look.
If he agrees to things he may lose his chance to be treated fairly in the future.
I speak from experience. I very nearly allowed myself to be taken for a ride by signing what was demanded of me. Instead, I got a lawyer and he walked me through my options. I had a different situation in that she didn't want money and there weren't any kids involved, but she did insist on things that would limit my personal freedom in the future. Things she had no legal standing to ask.
My situation was much simpler than his. He needs a lawyer. Baby farming is really common.
You find a sucker who is reliable wage earner, but doesn't earn enough to think he can fight things in court (he can afford it, trust me) then you leave your boyfriend and go live with this guy for nine months or a year... when the baby comes you get the sucker to pay for your boyfriend's baby during the next 18 years. This is VERY common.
In some states, if you were married when the baby was born paternity doesn't matter at all. How sad is that?
Anyway, please urge him NOT to sign anything.
I wish him the best and I am sorry for his broken heart. I know how that feels. :'(

okay so as i said above, my laptop is a DELL laptop. The power AC adapter is a model: AA20031, input 100-240V~1.5A 50/60Hz Output 20V- 3.5A. i don't know if you needed to know that but well now you do. anyway, It keeps connecting and disconnecting, which results in my computer screen flashing bright and dull. I don't know if it's the Chord itself or the place in the back of the laptop where you plug it in. does anyone know?? its really sensitive so if i move my laptop now it will not work but once again i don't know if its the chord the the plug in the laptop. Not a sure way to tell from here, but judging by my own long experience, it will likely turn out to be the power jack on the motherboard of the laptop. :-(
The best way to find out is you swap your power adapter with another one. If you have the same problem then you know the answer is within the machine itself. If not, then lucky you.
The easiest way to test the power adapter would be to have someone familiar with electronics, if you aren't, use a multi-meter to test the voltage at the plug whist someone assists by wiggling the cable at the connector. If there is no fluctuation then you are back to the laptop again as the likely culprit.

I just woke up with a shortness of breath and I haven't been able to get back to sleep. I understand that happens to people from time to time, but it's like I can't even take a deep breath. I coughed a little, no mucous came out.s more like a dry cough. When I cough it feels like my throat is completely dry.. and my nose isn't running but i can't really take a breath too well out of it because its a tiny bit stuffy.
I took my temp, and that turned out fine.. but a few weeks ago I had some weird stuff going on with my throat. It felt dry no matter how much water I drank. I'd take a sip and it'd hurt to swallow the water. It wasn't soothing at all.
I feel like I can almost take a deep breath and when I try it gets stopped short or something.
Could this be pneumonia? Even though I'm not running a fever? If not.. what else can it be?

I downloaded a 2007 trial of Microsoft Office and then the trial ended and I went back to 2003. However, I went to download a powerpoint and it would only open in 2007 so I can't make changes to it! I tried changing the program to use Powerpoint 2003 but it wasn't listed nor could I find it on my computer at all, but it obviously exists.
How do I set my default Microsoft Powerpoint back to 2003 and NOT use 2007 as my default? (link)

The best thing to do would be to un-install Microsoft Office 2007 if possible.
If it doesn't have an un-installer entry to itself, then go ahead and un-install the entries labled Microsoft office (whatever version) and re-install just the 2003 version that you wanted to be active.

ok I am trying to fill my tires, I put 2.5 lbs of pressure (i think it's pounds, from the air guage) and I am not sure if I put enough. I was wondering how much I should put in. I don't know what 44 psi/300 kpa equates to on the air tire guage. Thank you. (link)

44 psi is 44 pounds per square inch.
If you have 2.5 psi in the tire it would most likely appear completely flat.
The best idea here is to have a tire shop person explain it to you in person. If you know someone who is car smart I am sure they would show you how the pressures are supposed to be.
If you over inflate the tires you can be injured or killed. If you underinflate them and then drive on them you can have a blowout and be injured or killed.
This is why it is important to understand for sure what you are doing.
If you aren't very car savvy may I suggest a AAA membership? It is pretty cheap and worth every penny even when you are car savvy. :-)

I spent HOURS researching this and have come to the conclusion that publicly visitable Ames rooms are very hard to find. :( After hours of searching I feel comfortable in saying that you may have to look off-line for this info. What I would suggest would be calling magic shops in your area and asking if they know of anything like that. If there is a local magician's guild or society of stage magic, then contacting them would also be a good start on finding an Ames room.
