i clearly stated in my question that the girl ran the red light and smashed the car. it was her fault and we had witnesses which was how he got the 8000 dollars though thank you for your help./

You mentioned that you weren't hurt. People getting t-boned in an intersection usually get hurt or killed. That made it look like you were the one doing the hitting. I am very glad you weren't hurt. Pretty much a miracle.

In this case it could have been stated vaguely so as to avioid saying who it was exactly that did the red-light running.

No blame is being placed here, it was just a bit vague which made it look suspiciously like someone was avoiding stating thing plainly to avoid incriminating themselves. ;-)
