I have Bipolar 1 Disorder. I hate taking all these medications and always going to doctors appointments, but life is too short to let mental illness get the better of me.


Often times life is a challenge, and nobody knows that better than me. I wake up wondering if this is going to be a day my illness overpowers my meds, and either sends me flying like a bat out of hell, or leaves me laying on the couch like a wet dish rag.


Thank all that is good in the world that I have an excellent support system at home.

I'm honest, and that can either be a perk or s flaw. Depends on how you choose to look at it.
I like to see it as a perk, because it's better to hear the truth than to be told candy coated bullshit.

The headset is pluged in, and the sound comes through the TV and not the headset. I can't hear anyone else through the headset, but i can hear the other players through the TV speakers. No one can hear me either.
Is my headset broken? Or... Whats up?

Okay, my fingernails take these random spells and they come completely off. and I'm afraid their not going to grow back. This is the second time its happened, and they grew back the first time, but what if they dont this time?

And what are some foods with some high protein in them?

You mean your ENTIRE fingernails just come off? Or am I misunderstanding?
If this is the case, you should go to the doctor. I can't find anything specific searching the web, but what I DO find is that it says everywhere that your fingernails are a sign of your health, just like your skin.
So if your nails are detaching from the nail bed and falling off, you may have an underlying problem causing this that only your doctor can diagnose and treat.

this girl told me and my friend her dad gets drunk and beats her. we arent friends with the girl but we know her. then she said she was lying and her dad was really nice and was getting help but im not sure. she came in with bandades and said she was in a car crash. i dont know what to think. she said she wanted attenion. her parents seem nice and i know people who know them well

Well, she could have said that she was making it all up because she feared what would happen at home if her dad found out.
You can't trust what people SEEM like. Even those who know her parents well only see their family from the outside. You never know what goes on behind closed doors.
Have you talked to your parents about this? You should. They can help you figure out how to help this girl. If her dad is truly getting drunk and beating her, she DOES need help.

over the summer, me and this boy Cody were "talking" and i was completely in love with him and i hate when people throw that word around. i mean we were on the phone till like three or four in there was one time we were on the phone for seven hours straight. : )and he said he loved me too. well we slowly stopped talking. then a lil after school started he started dating this other girl Danielle again. they had dated before, but they broke up because she started this fake rumor about how he got her pregnant when they didnt even do anything. well i got kind of mad at him for obvious reasons. well he called me one day and said that he didnt want me to be mad at him and wanted to work out and stuff like that. then he said "well if if makes you feel better, me and Danielle aren't doing too well." i told him that i wanted him to be happy, so that didn't really make me happy but i did kinda get my hopes up. well, they're still together and i think i still love him. i think about him all of the time and i dont know what to do. i want to call him and ask him if he still has feelings for me but im scared to feel like an ass. please help.

My question is this- If he loves you so much as he said, why did he go back to this other girl?

You told him you wanted him to be happy, he chose to stay with her.

Personally? I would try to phase him out and move on with someone who doesn't confuse you this way. You deserve better than that.

So this kid likes me. But i heard this other girl likes him, and he likes or liked her back .. im not sure. But i know she still does. And I don't know how long he's liked me for.. he knows my best friend because they went to school together and he texts her all the time to find out if i like him back .. but thats all he texts her about..&he also texted my other friend that he knows i talk to all the time to find out if i like him. he says we should hang out soon and all that -- last night my 2 friends told me that they only think he likes me because i drink& smoke .. and he that he thinks im easy .. but he's a really nice kid and i wouldnt expect him to only like a girl for that reason.. -- do you think he likes me or .. ?

You can't base a person's motives off of rumor. The only way you will really find out is by getting to know him. It would be fairly obvious if he only wants to go out with you for the reasons your friends suspect.
Even if he likes some other girl, he obviously likes you too or he wouldn't be asking about you constantly.

In school, I'm kind of loserish.
I mean, there are deff people who are huger losers than me, no question.
But I'm def not cool. Like, I've never been to a party or anything(with people from my school).

Outside of school, I'm cool. Like, at camp I'm at least top five most popular girls. I've drank and smoked, just a tiny bit, with people from camp. Most of them live in towns less than half an hour away. I've hooked up with hot guys, and I've turned down a lot of kinda-cute ones. So basically, I'm just a loser in school.
I don't want to sound conceited or anything but I know I'm pretty. I'm not fat, I'm skinny. I dress well.

I thinkkk the reason I am at school is b/c of my friends. I was new in middle school, and I already knew a few people there. They were kinda losers, but I stuck with them. I feel like if I hadn't, I'd have made different friends. I def had opportunities to. Now, I really don't like them too much. They're kinda annoying and suckish friends. Like, I can't tell them anything.


I want a new group of friends. I want to be popular because (a) thats just def better, i mean cuter guys better social life, you know. and (b) the other cliques who aren't popular suck. Like there really isnt anyone else who id ever want to be friends with.

my parents dont trust me. i do good things but they dont think im a good person no matter what i do because of who i am and am not friends with. how can i gain their trust and show them that i pick my friends wisely?

Show them maturity by sitting down with them and discussing such issues.
Maybe they don't trust you with your friends because you shut them out of things?
Always be honest about what you are doing- telling awful truths are FAR better than getting caught in lies.

I have really thick hair, so when I try to comb it it still ends up poofy and messy. Whats a good relaxer or perm that can help straighten my hair all the way to the tips?

Your best bet is to go to a good salon and have them use their best product on your hair. It's costly, but it's worth it.
I have really thick hair, too, and home perms have never been anything but disaster for me. Poof and mess before? Extreme poof, mess, and frizz after...

I come from a very religious family and go to a christian school.
We talked about God all the time in classes and mostly good things.
God is all about love, forgiving, a way of life.

The thing is, that we were only being tought just chosen quotes and not the hole thing.

I bumped across this site that has all those particular stuff chosen from The Bible, The Old and New Testament and I found out crazy evil stuff inside there.Horrible stuff. Of course I am not gonna argue with my parents, let them think whatever OR my friends.

This has really been a life changing experience for me, something really mind opening and a new way of life free out of human stupidity.

Stupidity that tells you "Dont be evil cause you ll burn in hell", when it should actually be more like "Dont be evil cause you shouldn t be".
Or sayings against premarital sex or "Smoking sends you to hell" and that drinking is evil.
I get drunk like twice a year, and dont feel the need to drink more and more. And by drunk I mean a little bit tipsy.
Or why is oral sex evil and immoral? What harm does it do?Its been a while since I found joy in both giving and receiving it lol...

But priests, school, religious people and books written by people, rules build by people (for instance oral sex.drinking,smoking) are violating Jesus work and the real Gods work.

No I dont expect Jesus to be smoking, but he was a human and a God. And there is no need for some being to expect from us to not be doing those stuff if that greater being gave us the present of life in the first place.

Do you suppose there is another sub christian party that works according to my beliefs? Of course I dont mean a church where people get drunk or something, but a church that celebrates life just as God intented instead of looking forward to death.

I don't know if there is a church that shares the same exact beliefs as you or not. I'm sure there are some out there who share similar beliefs, but they may have beliefs that are opposite of yours.

Personally, I don't attend church. I see nothing wrong with church, but like you, I can't sit and listen to this group's interpretation of the Bible, or that group's, because usually there are things that don't follow MY personal beliefs.
I know that God knows what I believe. I don't have to sit in a pew every Sunday to prove my faith. I don't have to conform my beliefs with a group of people.
I'm happier that way.

Is it wrong to be with somebody but want to sleep with somebody else??? Even if you know you will never act on it, kinda like you wanted to sleep with someone but then got a boyfriend thinking you wouldn't want to sleep with that other person. But for some reason you still do. You can't help your feelings right so is it wrong to hide that feeling away???

It is normal to be with one person and have feelings of sexual attraction towards another.
I don't understand what you mean by hiding it away- I mean, you don't want to announce it to the world or anything, and hurt your boyfriend's feelings, or cause him feelings of inadequacy.

when i was 14 (4 years ago) i was extremely depressed. i took non perscription sleeping pills all day long trying to just stay asleep. its not that i wanted to die.. i jsut didint wanan be alive. it was the closest thing i could get to where i wanted to be. well now i still take them every once in a while because im so busy i dont sleep enough. when i have extra sleeping time i want to use it.. so i take them. i dont know if i was addicted before.. and i dont know if i am now. i dont go threw any withdrawls or anything..i dont think.. im just really afraid i could be or get addicted to them. i guess i take them from 0-5 times a month. do you think i should be worried or quit taking them? could i be addicted?

Personally, I would quit taking them. Even over the counter sleep aids have a risk of dependency.

okay me and my boyfriend is having an complicated situation going on and he decided to "break" or cool off. he said" see if we're gonna miss each other but im missing you already " . So he said to set the date and i was like"no you" but he wanted to me to set a date how long we're gonna take in our relationship so i said 2 and a half week(but we have a winter break so its gonna be 4 week and a half) and he said"okay" and then next day he came up to me saying the cool off wont work and i was like"you planned it" and he was like"but its too long because of the winter break" and i said "why are you changing your mind? you planned it" and he was like "but can we talk just after class?" and i said no and he was like "are you serious?" and i said "yes" and we said goodbye and we left.
whats his deal?

Well a month is an awful long time for a break. That is his deal.
If you are going to do this, why don't you set it as being over winter break? That way it is for only 2 weeks compared to a month.

Though I certainly wouldn't trust downloading from limewire, especially a file of that size due to the risk of downloading viruses, I would probably say import it to your My Videos folder (assuming you run Windows).

i like this guy and i liked him for like 6 months and i still haven made a move yet.and all my friends keep telling me that i should ask him out since he already know that i like him.but the only probaly that got me confuse is that there's this girl thats invole.see he likes her and she likes him and she also likes this other guy,

I agree with your friends- just go for it. I mean, really, do you want to see him getting together with this girl who obviously has no regard for his feelings? If you don't make your move, she may step in ahead of you, then where will you be?
Sometimes you have to take risks. If you don't, in the future you may end up kicking yourself over the "what ifs".

so i really like this guy and he really likes me. and when i talk to guys or basically just like mention a guy he doesnt know, he will get jealous. and if i talk to someone he doesnt normally talk to, like on AIM, he starts talking to them too. that part makes me a little mad, but whatever. but lately, ive been looking on his facebook and myspace and there's this girl .... thats definately flirting with him. and in his AIM profile, she is in it. but he flirts with so many girls and i dont know if he realizes it, but it seems like they like him because of the way they flirt, and he flirts back. and this girl was moved from not even on his myspace top friends, to wayyyy up on his top friends. and this one comment she sent him on myspace was "i lovee you too" which means he said i love you first. and its making me really upset because i dont want to lose him, or for him to do things with her, like kiss her or something.

Ok, so why would you consider getting into a relationship with this guy? Sounds like he is overly jealous and has no trust in you. Also sounds like what's not ok for you to do is perfectly fine for him to do, in his eyes.
Come, now. Do you REALLY want a relationship like that? You can do much better, and you deserve much better. You deserve to be treated with respect.

okay well yeah im tan and have blonde hair. i wear clear contacts, but i want to get bright blue ones.my eyes are blue, but i want to brignten the up. i also want some pink in them. do you think it would look okay. and what brand does colored contacts look REALLY REAL! cause i dont want them to look fake like some of the ones i see. i want to be unique so i want some pink in them but not a lot just little random dots so you can kinda see the pink mixed in with the blue. so i need a company where they have pink contacts, and a oppinion if you guys would think it would look goood!

Your optometrist should have examples of colored contacts. Ask them about what you are looking for, and what they suggest would be the best brand for your eyes.
