I have Bipolar 1 Disorder. I hate taking all these medications and always going to doctors appointments, but life is too short to let mental illness get the better of me.


Often times life is a challenge, and nobody knows that better than me. I wake up wondering if this is going to be a day my illness overpowers my meds, and either sends me flying like a bat out of hell, or leaves me laying on the couch like a wet dish rag.


Thank all that is good in the world that I have an excellent support system at home.

I'm honest, and that can either be a perk or s flaw. Depends on how you choose to look at it.
I like to see it as a perk, because it's better to hear the truth than to be told candy coated bullshit.

Okay. I have this weird/creepy habit of chewing my fingers. Like, not the nails, the skin around them. I don't even do it when I'm nervous- I just do it subconsciously all the time and don't notice until they're bleeding. It's destroying my cuticles and it looks wicked nasty. How can I overcome this habit? I hate it. Thanks =)

The best way to end a habit is to replace it with something else. Instead of chewing your fingers, chew a pencil or something similar, when you notice yourself doing that. Of course, chewing a pencil may not be the best way to go, but it would help you overcome tearing up your fingers.

You know what, I don't see that option on my comp so it may be set up a little different or maybe I am just hitting the wrong thing. I have the file saved to my documents for a windows XP. I am using Microsoft word. I don't have a DVD drive, I only have a Disk Re-writable drive. So when I stick the Blank CD in there, do i highlight the file, and then right click on it or what? Thank you for your effort.

Yah, you are running the same programs I do.
Ok, try this:
Put in your blank CD and let it load.
Go to the word file in My Documents
Right click it- go to "Send to"
On that menu, there should be a little CD icon next to CD drive, or something similar- select that.
Now, go to My Computer
Find your CD icon again (should say something like CD Drive next to it)
Double click that and it should take you to another page where you will see your document file.
On the far left, the very top menu says CD tasks.
Beneath that, select "Write these files to CD"
Then, your files should copy to the CD.
Now, to reopen the files from the CD, you will have to load the disk, go to My computer, right click your CD drive, and select open.

I know this is more confusing than the last option, but I sure hope it works out for you. :)

i am soooo depressed like my parents dont believe they say it will pass.... well that was a year ago and im still depressed, i really need help cuz i cut myself adn do other stuff nothin deadly but things to cause me pain. for depression pills do you have to see a doctor or wat???? not that it would make a differance cuz im only 15 couldnt drive anywhere to get them.....

Well, if you haven't told your parents that you cut yourself, then you need to do so.
You have to have a prescription for antidepressants. Best place to get them is a therapist. They will try to see if they can end your depression by trying to figure out what is causing it and solve that issue. They can also prescribe antidepressants if you need them.
Trust me though, you want to do what you can to try to get past it without the pills. They effect the chemical balance of your brain.
If you do, in fact, have a chemical imbalance, then antidepressants will fix that. If you are just having some sort of hidden issue, then they really can do you more harm than good. (Been there...)

Ok, a couple of weeks ago I found a cell phone on the parking lot of a store... and before you even say it, i did try to call its owner and friends of the owner but the phone had already been disconnected and owner just never answered so now i'm here with this phone...
Its a verizon phone, and my plan is t-mobile..... is there any way or anything i can do so that the verizon phone can become compatible with the t-mobile memory card?
Because i was looking online and saw a cingular phone that could be used with tmobile.. how?
so can it be possible for the other???

I don't see why it couldn't. It may be as simple as putting your SIM card in it. If that doesn't work, call T-mobile and ask them how to go about doing it.

I know this is a very random question. I sometimes drink coffee (not too often) in the morning, or if I have to stay awake to study. Coffee with milk tends to upset my stomach...though each on its own is okay. I use non-dairy creamer, but I'm concerned about the sugar level/other ingredients. Is there a natural alternative to conventional creamer, that actually tastes good? I know there's a soy coffee creamer, but it hardly tastes like anything...any other suggestions would be great. Thanks!

I use Coffe-mate. If you just use the original flavor, there is 10 calories per serving, 0.5 grams total fat, 0 everything else.
Now, if you prefer the flavored creamers, such as Amaretto, Irish Cream, French Vanilla, etc., then they do have sugars added. Those you can get in sugar free.

I would like to copy a word file that I have onto a CD-RW using Windows Media Player...is this possible and if so, how do I do it?

If you copy the file to My Documents, from there you can copy to a disk.
Highlight it, select "Copy this file" from the menu on the far left, scroll down to your disc drive and select that. (Mine says DVD-RAM Drive (E:), but if your blank disk is in it, it will show that drive as having a writable disk in it.)

I am pregnant and I am trying to predict if my baby is a girl or boy on my own. I have a doctor's appointment to find out on December 20th, but I just want to try and guess. I have a book that is called How To Pick The Sex Of Your Baby, but it is filled with things to do before conceiving to better your chances of male or female. I was just wanting to hear some ways you've heard of to tell (like someone once told me if your belly is low, it's a boy and if it's high, it's a girl). This is just for fun. No links please.

Really, they are all myths, but I agree that it is quite fun.
I'm pregnant with my second boy, and with both of them I crave spicy foods and sweet foods.
I still have halfway to go with this baby, but with my oldest son by the time I reached the last couple of months, I craved sweet so bad, I was tempted on more than one occasion to eat sugar straight from the bag.

I am posting this as a public question, but I thought I would also ask you in your inbox because I noticed you are pregnant and have already had one baby. I am four months pregnant, and I am not showing yet. I am just wondering when you started showing. People told me it takes longer to show if it is your first baby. I am about 5'2'' and I weigh about 130. I have looked at many links, so please don't give me any. I just want to know from personal experience. Thank you.

Everyone is different, as is every pregnancy. If you haven't started showing by now, you will in the next month or two.
If you haven't found an OB, you should. You are far enough to hear the heart beat (which is awesome) and in a couple of weeks, you get a sonogram (which is even more awesome!)

I know you said no links, but I'm going to give you a website that helped me a lot through my first pregnancy. It keeps you informed as to what your baby and your body are up to every week of your pregnancy.
It has great FAQ, you can talk with other moms-to-be, etc. It is a wealth of information about pregnancy when you have no clue what is going on! :)

I recently got Diagnosed (sp?) with an std that I wont ever be able to get rid of. I was wondering if you guys new of any sites online where people can talk about these things.

Sense I found out I have felt completely hopeless and I just feel like giving up but I cant do that to my parents.

if you take cough syrup then right after drink something is it true that whatever you drink can mess with the cough syrup and make it not work?

Well, the cough syrup contains alcohol. Drinking alcohol on top of it increases the effects of drowsiness, etc caused by the cough syrup.

The only thing I can think of would be in reference to glasses, which would mean really thick lenses due to a really strong prescription.

We thought our female dog was spayed. She is 10 years old, we've had her 2 years. We caught her and a male dog, he was stuck inside her, doing the deed. Male dog now won't go away. Is it possible she's in heat even though we've never noticed this in 2 years? If so is it dangerous at her age to possibly be pregnant?

I can't tell you for certain if it is dangerous or not at her age, but I would assume it is.
Your best bet would be to take her to a vet to have her checked out. In the meantime, I would do whatever necessary to keep her away from the male dog.

It really depends on the vet you go to.
We go to a vet who is in it for the animals, not the money. We had our male cat fixed and got his shots for about $70 total.

What exactly does talking mean?
My friends are always coming up to me and asking if I'm talking with this guy/s, because theyre guys I always hook up with on the weekends, and sometimes I like them, sometimes its just a one time make out.
So what exactly classifies talking?
Like right now, I would say I'm talking to this one guy deffinately, I really like him and all, but what if he doesn't think we're talking?! That would be so embarassing!
So what exactly classifies when two people are talking

I interpret it as getting to know one another by means of verbal communication. You know, just talking to see if the two of you would even click together if you decided to pursue a relationship with one another.

ok,i'm 14 and i like this girl, alot, but for 1 she has a bf and for 2 i don't know if she likes me more as a friend. he BF is a real jerk who flirts with a bunch of other girls and he's told people he didn't really like her. now i've had alot of crushes but she's diffrent, when i'm near her i don't have anything to say, its like i've forgotten who i am and how to speak. and when i'm out of school sick i'm actually scared that something will happen and that i won't be there for her. i don't know what to do. i just can't stop thinking about her. please help.

Really, there isn't much you can do at this point in time. She has a boyfriend, so that leaves you out for now.
Don't fret- one day she will realize what kind of jerk this guy is and how bad he treats her. She will realize she deserves better than all that.

me and my bf is having a complicated problem is going on, and he ask me if i want to have break/cool off and he said"to see if we're gonna miss each other but im missing you already". So he said to set the date and i was like "no you" but he wanted me to set a date how long we're gonna take in our relationship so i said 2 and a half week (but we have a winter break so its gonna be 4 week and a half) and he said "okay..thats too long" and "make it shorter" but i said no its 2 weeks and a half and then next day he came up to me saying the cool off wont work and i was like "you planned it" and he was like"but its too long because of the winter break" and i said "why are you changing your mind? you planned it" and he was like "but can we talk just after class?" and i said no and he was like "are you serious?" and i said "yes" and we said bye and we left. next day i thought we were on the break but then he keep asking me if i was mad at him and i was like"im just doing the break like you told me to" and he was all"do you wanna break up?" and i was like i dont know and he was like" what if we get used to this break and its too long" and i was yeah and i think he was waiting for me to say and i just said "its not working out" i was just trying to make him break up with him and then he said "i think we should break up" and i was like okay and he said"man i dont wanna do this" and i was like"well you did" and he was all "i still like you" and i was like okay and he said"lets still be friends okay?" and i said okay and we hug and i told him good luck but we were still keep hugging each other like 4 times what do you think about this?


He thought a break would be a good idea, you set the time, but make it for over a month. If you don't see each other over your winter break, a month is what it is.
You could have changed it to take place over winter break, but you chose to keep it at taking a 1 month long break.
He told you that was too long, but you wouldn't change it.

Ok I'll tell you what it sounds like from my point of view:
From what you state above, it sounds like you both agreed to try this break, but you both didn't agree on the length.
It sounds like you didn't want to discuss it with him, considering you set it for what works out to be too long and wouldn't budge from that, even though he didn't agree.
Sounds like you ARE mad at him. Even if you aren't, you come off that way.
So, sounds like he then just broke up thinking that is what you wanted. Even though it seems HE didn't want to break up, you can't stay in a relationship with someone who does.

So that's what I think.
