We thought our female dog was spayed. She is 10 years old, we've had her 2 years. We caught her and a male dog, he was stuck inside her, doing the deed. Male dog now won't go away. Is it possible she's in heat even though we've never noticed this in 2 years? If so is it dangerous at her age to possibly be pregnant?

Oh and there's some stuff you can spray that can keep the other dog away just make sure you don't spray it near your dog it won't heart the dog its just a nuissance to there nose. It will wear of but it should keep HIM away. [ Meggyboo's advice column | Ask Meggyboo A Question ]

Your best bet would be to take her to a vet to have her checked out. In the meantime, I would do whatever necessary to keep her away from the male dog.
