I don't think there's enough questions on advicenators that mention abortions. I assume there's more females on this site then males, so why does it seem like there are mainly pro-life supporters? We're women. Women with so many choices and laws that allow us those choices. I agree in having your own opinion, but never force it onto someone else. If someone is considering an abortion, why talk them out of it, bringing it up as a sin and disgusting? I'm proud to be pro-choice & you'd think nowadays more women would be. Why aren't you?

Why I'm not for abortions:

If a woman was careless enough to get pregnant, then an unborn child should not have to suffer because of that.

Everyone should at least have a chance at life. If you kill the baby, that takes away its chance.

Are you aware of the ways they remove the baby out of the women? Many of them involve taking pliers and twisting body parts until they break off. They continue to do so until the baby is all gone. It's inhumane.

It gives teenagers hope to have more sex. They think "oh, it's okay if I get pregnant, I can always just get an abortion!"

Yeah, a woman has a right to her body but that's the thing; what is growing inside her is not her body. It's a separate, unique, developing human being.

Are you aware that if someone kills a pregnant woman then it is considered a double homicide? One hit for the mother and another for the unborn child. So why should the murder of an unborn child be looked upon differently?

And yeah, yeah, everyone can say that if it's a rape then it should be okay. Do you know how low the parentage of rape victims getting pregnant is?

And on top of everything, why not just give it up for adoption? There are millions of couples out there that cannot have kids of their own that would be more than happy to take that "burden" off your hands.

I don't try to talk people out of their opinions; I just help let them see the other side. Now, why do you think abortion is right? And why should women be pro-choice "nowadays"? Because people are getting more carefree and moral standards are going down?

Do you know that most people that are pro-choice and are trying to help make abortions legal are MEN? I wonder why.

Well anyhow, I'm proud to be pro-life in this time and I wish more people would be too.

What you could do is ask you doctor about them and they usually give you a free pair to try them out. If after the free pair you decide that you don't need them or that they aren't as good as you thought, you don't have to buy them and just stay with your old ones.

I'm going to a sleep over on Friday..and I'm on my period what should I do while I'm sleep..tampon or pad? How long can you keep in a tampond?

You can keep a tampon in up to eight hours. So, usually, at sleep overs girls don't go to bed until late so you could always put it in right before you fall asleep and take it out the second you wake up.

But, if you think you're going to sleep in the next day, more than eight hours, then you should go with a pad. And since you'll be wearing pj pants/shorts, no one will notice the pad because those are usually baggy.

can a sunburn on your face cause acne?

Not that I know of. My doctor told me that sun exposure actually helps acne.

I am 14/f and i'm 5'6" I hate being tall so much. I'm going to grow more and i bet I'll end up like really tall. I don't really knwo for sure, but to me most of the pretty people are short. i am so self concious about it!! I wish i could be 5'4" and stay that way for ever. I think about it every day and it makes me really sad. How can i get over this. i'll rate high

Goodness! Just wait until you're a little older, you'll like being your height. A lot of guys like taller girls and all the short girls want to be around your height. I don't know about over there, but at my high school most of the girls that the guys usually like are the taller ones. Although you can still grow until you're about 18-21, most girls stop around 15-16. We can't pick how we look, but we can learn to accept it. Believe me, you'll grow out of feeling this way.

hi, im wondering if any1 knows a reliable and safe place to look up forgein exchange students. see, my family was thinking about hosting somebody from new zeland or sending me to france. we were leaning towards the sending me out thing because it would be a cool experience. i found this one website and the people even sent me the information, but my mom isnt satisfied. she wants a site with government approval or somethign big like that. does anybody know a really good exchange program??

Well I don't know specific ones but I met this girl a few months ago from Belgium who is an exchange studnet and she told me that the family she is staying with now found her through our high school. So I would check with your school because I'm sure it would be safe then.

I would call the place you get them done at and ask. Some places would most likely have a problem with it due to health codes and such. It's true, you would have a tampon in but sometimes those leek. And dealing with that area and blood, it might run a risk of HIV or something else health related. Just call the place up and ask, if they don't then you could always just wait a day or so.

what are some outlets of depression?

I personally don't believe in meds for depression. If someone mopes around all day thinking about how they're upset and have nothing to look forward to, then of course they'll be depressed, right? Same thing if you hang around people that are just dark (I don't mean like "Goth" or whatever I mean it with respect to emotion) then you too will start to feel that way.

So outlets for depression? Get out and have fun. Surround yourself with people that are happy, energetic, and want to have a good time. Find something that makes you happy and go with it. Doing thing that make you happy with people that make you happy will get you happy!

Don't surround yourself with negative things and you won't think negatively.

I'm 17/f and I've known my best friend, Ryan (well, ex best friend) literally my whole life. Our dad's were best friends in high school and they live next door.

Well, Ryan and I used to be really close. We hung out all the time and were really good friends. We hung out with the same group of people and I thought I knew everything about him. About 2 years ago, I was in his room waiting for him to get out of the shower and I was just looking around when I found LSD tabs and pills that I couldn't identify.

I waited for him to get out and I asked him about it. Turns out that he had some friends that I didn't know about and he had been into drugs and such for a few months. I couldn't believe what he was saying and even more so, I couldn't believe that I didn't suspect anything.

He told me not to say anything to anyone but I refused and said that I at least was going to tell his older brother and see what he thought about it. We argued about it for a while and he told me that he did not do it that much, it wasn't a big deal and that he would stop. So I trusted him and didn't say anything.

Long story short, I shouldn't have trusted him. His parents put him in Rehab a while after and he's supposed to be clean now.

Well, we haven't been talking as much lately and I don't really see him at the usual parties and friends' houses and things but I just thought he didn't want to see me because we had gotten into a big fight a few months ago (reason to why we weren't talking).

I was at the mall yesterday and I saw him there with a guy named Zach. This guy was the one that had gotten him into drugs. Seriously, he's the biggest druggie anyone knows.

Know I don't know what to do because I'm not certain he's doing drugs again for sure. But, I don't want to keep it from his parents again because I don't want it to end up like it did 2 years ago. And, I'm not sure how he'll take me asking him about it considering we don't really talk anymore.

What should I do?

If someone that used to do drugs starts hanging around the person that got them started then chances are that they have started up again. I however, would not go straight to him because of the fact that you two aren't good friends any more.

If you don't want to worry his parents and want to be sure that he is doing drugs again before you tell them, then I would go to his brother. You said that he's that one that you wanted to go to before so he might help you find out. And Ryan might take it better from him than you right now.

His parents do have a right to know, though. And I know that sometimes parents overreact but when it comes to drugs, especially when he's already been to rehab, they need to know.

okay i wear a headband when i play basketball and i play evreyday.I play in the sun at the park then after a while I noticed theres a strip of my skin from the headband alot lighter then the rest of my face.What should I do to even it out without being embarrsed by the other kids?

To be honest, stuff like this happens to alot of people and even though people will comment, no one will actually make fun or anything.

I once went to a baseball game wearing shorts and no sun screen with the left side of my body facing the sun. I got a sun burn on my thigh and NO WHERE else and had to go to school in a skirt the next day.

That kind of stuff is actually funny when you think about it, it's really not a big deal and like I said, no one will make a big deal out of it.

It's always a good idea to wear stockings in a formal situation. It's more sophisticated and proper specially when it is a religious thing. Wear a color that is closer to your skin tone and almost matches. If black matches you then wear black.

I think not saying anything is worse because everyone says things they don't mean in the heat of the moment and even though those things can't be taken back, they can be forgiven. But, when you don't say anything, you might not get another opportunity to say what you want and it sometimes builds up.

my boyfriend has fingered me a few times. the first time he did it, nothing happened. the second time he did it, nothing. and the third time, i was bleeding and not just for like an hour but for about 2 days. i didn't get my period i was just bleeding after he did that. so what's going on with that? is that normal?

Those that are saying that he just popped your cherry and it's normal, it's true aside from the fact that it was going on for 2 days. That is definatly not a good sign. Are you positive that it wasn't your period?

What I would do is get a mirror and well, try to see yourself and check for cuts and that sort of thing.

I'm worried that my daughter, who's just turned 16, is talking to strangers online. Against my better judgement, I accessed her computer while she was at school. I didn't find much other than a short instant message from a male with whom she was just speaking to like she would a close friend but some of the things he said were fishy and he had asked her a lot of strange, personal questions in the conversation (like who she lived with, what her friends' names were, what the name of her school was, etc).

What are signs that I can look for that my daughter is in trouble? If I continue to access her computer and find more instant messages, what can I look for to determine for sure that this person means my daughter harm?

Well, obviously, if the person is asking her questions about what school she goes to and who she hangs out with, it's not someone she knows in person and hasn't know for a long time. Maybe she met him off of Myspace?

I'm sure she'll be very upset with you if she finds that you've been looking through her computer. What I think you should do (which is how I would want to be approached if you were my father) is share with her what you've heard about girls meeting people on the internet as a casual conversation and ask her what she thinks of it. If you and her are close, you'll get a truthful answer as long as you don't accuse her of anything. Tell her that you trust her and trust that she wouldn't do something that careless.
