Stockings or no stockings
I'm going to my best friends bat mitzpa. I'm wearing a black dress with a black purse, black open toed shoes, and possibly a little black makeup. Should I wear black stockings? I'm African-American and 5'5. If this helps at all, I have a scar pale scar on my foot, nice toenails, and im not dark at all- im a little darker than chocolate milk but lighter than milk chocolate.

i dont think you should. ive been to lots of these, and if your dancing and having a good time - your gonna get hot wearing stockings. and plus i think i might be TOO much black.. you know. okay well have fun babe =) ohh, and its bat mitzvah hha, nice try though :P

No, I really think you shouldn't. The black look sounds really nice and sophisticated but the black stockings might overdo it.

Dont wear the stockings because than theres too much black. Including the black make-up. As soon as you start to dance, you will wind up taking off your shoes, put socks on if she has them and if you want to bring them and dance like that. Also, dont over due the black with the stockings. DONT WEAR THEM. and go lightly on the black makeup and try to use a different color over the eyes.

It's always a good idea to wear stockings in a formal situation. It's more sophisticated and proper specially when it is a religious thing. Wear a color that is closer to your skin tone and almost matches. If black matches you then wear black.

hey!! well that outfit sounds cute, and i would say deffinitely go without the stalkings!! that would be way too much of one solid color... plus you would be covering up almost your entire body, and it's almost summer so why not let a little skin show?!! just paint your toe nails a cute color and let them show... maybe red? you could also paint your finger nails to match! not to mention it will probably be hot...leave the stalkings out!! :) have fun!
