Well, your SUPPOSSED to have 8-9 hours of sleep a night if your a teen, and 7-8 if your an adult. but for "beauty" sleep... there really isnt a time. its just what people say when they say there going to sleep.

Q: I'm starting to breakout all over my body except my face! on my back, arms, and chest! I clean myself every-other day! How do I make them go away!

i had the same problem, except i still had acne on my face too. My doctor told me to use any types of anti bactrial soap like Dial or Lever. Also, try to shower everyday that way your body can stay clean and rid itself of any oils. If this still doesn't work, go see a dermotologist (sorry i cant spell that haha) and they can perscribe something for you.

Q: okay so theres this guy i like and i dont think he knows i like him or knows who i am. we never really talk but every time i see him it seems like hes looking at me and smiles at me and if im talking to my friend (shes friends with him) he will come over and say hi to her which he never does when im not around...i want to know if he really might like me or if its wishful thinking?

It def sounds like he wants to be around you so next time that he comes over to talk to your friend, start up a conversation with him or join in with theres and see where it takes you.

Q: Hey, i am currently on medication to help make my pimples go away..it's not working all that great right now though..are there any ways i can make my pimples go away faster in addition to my medication?

If you just started on your medication, then it takes some time for your body to get used to it and know what it has to do. In the meantime, drink lots of water and at every chance you get, wash your face with warm water. After time the medicine should kick in and all will be well :)

Q: i am a 14 yr old girl in the 8th grade. this guy wants me to have sex with him. i really want to cause i love him alot. but i dont want to get pregnant and have kids. any suggestions???

personally, i think that 14 is an extrememly young age to have sex. then again, if you truly honestly do feel that you are ready and you think that this guy is special enough for you to give him your virginity then go right ahead. As long as you do it, make sure it's safe and use a condom. You can never be too safe.

Q: I'm in the eight grade and I'm a 14 year old female. Some boys think that i am pretty. But I haven't had my first kiss yet. I want my first kiss to be spectacular, something that I will remember forever.

Well i just got my first kiss at my homecoming dance right before i turned 15. let me tell you, it was the worst first kiss of my life. dont do it unless the timing is right and dont do it just so you can say youve kissed someone. it should be special and something you remember forever.

if you want it done fast then you should blow dry it but some people dont like to do that because the blow dryer + the straightner is a lot of damage on your hair and it can fry it. it is much better if you let it naturally dry.

Q: alright so here it is. I'm going out with this girl and i had my first kiss with her and like all the rest of my kisses and i like really really really like her right and we went to the movies for a christmas date and i realized that i thought i really loved her and now i cant sleep and all i can do is think of her. aww that is so adorable and it sounds to me as if it is real love your feeling. I mean, think about it you can't sleep and your always thinking about her and are already thinking about marrying her. You are in love.

I just had sex for my first time 2 nights ago. I'd like to get checked by the doctor for any diseases. Is it possible for me to ask a doctor and get a test done without my parents knowing anything? Including the results. Even if the results came out positive, I want it to be kept secret. Do you know if doctors tell parents this kind of information?

I asked my doctor this question and she said that if I never needed anything like that done, she wouldn't be allowed to tell my parents without first asking me unless it was lifethreatening. It's a doctor/patient confidentiality. So, unless your doctor is for some reason different, no they can't tell your parents so they can never know.

Q: my boyfriend doesnt find me very attractive.. he thinks i'm cute but not hot, he doesnt seem to have any desire to have sex.. which bugs me lots.. can someone help me with tips to make him want me more? please

Well, if your guy doesn't want to have sex with you only due to your looks, then i would personally leave him and find someone else who will treat you right.

Well, there could be two things going on here.
1) You're right that he is just playing with you
or
2) He really does like you but for some reason or another, he can't break up with this other girl he's with.
Personally, from what it sounds like, I would say he likes you. He obviously felt bad you guys didn't dance at the ball and so he asked one of his friends to dance with you. He flirts with you and you do it back, which probably tells him that you like him back. This is a good thing tough because it lets him know that your interested and he knows that there's a chance for him there if he wants to take it. Maybe try talking to him and find out what's really going on. Tell him if he'd rather be with you or his girlfriend, and if the thing you two share is only a strong friendship. But to me, it sounds like he likes you!!

Q: Could you date someone who had very different or totally contrary views to your own. For example, if you were a dedicated Democrat and they were a Republican, or if you were quite religious and they were an atheist. Would those sort of things be a dealbreaker for you or would you still want to see them?

Do you think relationships like that are doomed or are disagreements like that healthy?

I think that things would be fine as long as the little disagreements never or didn't often turn into serious fights. Sometimes, the little disagreements couples have between each other help to make the relationship grow stronger. This way, you each learn what not to bring up in order to get the other person upset. And you know, oppossites attract!!

I don't think that is pathetic in the least bit, honestly and truely. You're only 15 and trust me, it all happens totally fast. Before you know it they are going to be all over you, it just takes more time for guys to grow up and mature than girls. I kow that sounds way overused but it really is true. Don't rush into anything, just take your time and wait for that special person!

Q: is it healthy for a 5'8" teen to weigh around 115lbs. And if you know, what is a good weight for someone who's 5'8"?

well im 5'8" and 15 and weigh around 120-125 so I really don't think it's unhealthy. My friends say I'm skinny but I think as long as your not looking anoerixicly skinny then no I don't think you have a problem. You could also go get a physical and ask the doctor if your weight is unhealthy.

Well I would first start out by stopping giving them what they want. The more you give into them, the more they are going to think that they can get whatever they want from you. Once you stop, you will have narrowed down the guys who will be coming to you and then real guys who want to love you will come in. Someone will come along, just give it time. And never rush into giving the guy something just because you think they like you. Hold off on it and if they still stick around, you know it's for you and not the stuff you give out. Good luck!

Just sit her down and tell her that you do love her just not in the same way that she loves you. Tell her that she should stay with her boyfriend and you think that they can go far. She will be hurt and things may be akward at first but just keep reminding her you do love her, just more as a friend than anything else. You can also tell her that if you guys did go out, things could get really messy after the relationship. It will all work out fine. Good luck!

There are a lot of "How do I get this guy/girl to like me" questions on this site, and mine is the exact opposite.

I'm pretty positive that a girl that I have PE with has a crush on me, and my friend agrees with me. The thing is, I'm not attracted to her in any way what-so-ever, not even as a friend. I don't like her because she over analyzes things and is an immature person that thinks she is mature.

Is there some sort of way I can make her not have a crush on me? I don't want to make a total jerk out of myself, because that's not that type of person that I am, and I also deffinetly do not want to hurt her. Any thoughts?

My Ex had this problem after he broke up with me. I still liked him for a really long time and it started to make things really akward. So what he did was somewhat harsh, but it worked. He basiclly ignored me for months. We wanted to stay friends and since you don't like her it wont really matter, but like you said you don't want to be rude. If she asks you questions, do a brief one word answer thing. "I dunno" "Yes" "No" is pretty much all you need to say to her, followed by walking away like you're distracted. She should eventually get the hint and back off. Good luck!

haha well me being from Maine, was VERY shocked by this question. haha. well it's when a lot of snow comes down and the schools don't think it's safe enough to get to school or back around. For us, we usually need at least 5 inches before schools cancelled, but in LA, no I don't think you'll get one. sorry!!
