In general, I feel SO weird. Ever since Saturday night. I've been getting sore arms, muscles, joints. My legs have been pinkish red whenever i get light headed. I got light headed today and that happened. I get this really annoying headache behind each eye randomly. (I have tmj in my jaw so idk if that has to do with it) My chest randomly feels tight ( i have allergy enduced asthma so idk if thats it) and it feels like i have to burp randomly in my chest and i can;t let it out. My throat has been sore since Saturday and I've been extremely tired.. what symptoms are these? btw, i haven't been getting the best sleep. East five points. My mom doesn't think it's serious enough to go c a dr. my cheeks on my face also randomly hurt. (link)

Nobody here is a doctor, least of all me, but I can tell you what I would be feeling if my daughter came to me with this.
Any of these would be enough for me to send my child to the doctor. All of them together is very frightening.
I would tell your mother all of it together just like you typed here. If she doesn't think it is serious enough to take you to the doctor, you may have to go on your own.
If you have no way to get tho the ER, 911 is just a phone call away.
I see you rated someone a 2 for scaring you... you should be scared. You should be scared enough that you do WHATEVER it takes to get medical help.
The only reason I wouldn't already have my child to the doctor was if she had a habit of making things up... but you don't sound like that kind of person.
Please get help, and get it now.

You know, God is the only judge of a person's soul. With that in mind, I would only offer my thoughts on the matter.
Repentance is a very serious thing. If you have repented of that line of thought, I would say that under the basic teachings of Christ, you would have the forgiveness that is promised.
If you attempted to kill someone else, but were unsuccessful, then turned from whatever thinking drove you to that bad decision and asked God for forgiveness, what do you think the outcome would be?
If you are unaware, there is a very good example in the story of Christ's life. When he was killed, among the last things he did was to ask God to have forgiveness toward the very people who crucified him.
Certainly, if you repent and seek forgiveness, you are promised it.
If you need help with what drove you there in the first place, I urge you to talk to someone in person who can help. If that isn't possible, please consider creating an account here (just so you get e-mails when you get an answer) and let people help you in whatever way they are able.

I've decided to buy a voice recorder in this last year of high school since I'm struggling now and it'll be good for university anyways if I make it. Abd I haven't used batteries since like my toddler days for those loud toys. And I don't want to leave batteries in the voice recorder when i'm not even using it and I know from school that if you keep it in your pocket it'll like burn through. So what can i hold 2 AA batteries in for temporary storage until I place them back in? (Hate batteries, so expensive and bad for the environment! But all voice recorders must have them...) (link)

Any chance you are you the one who asked the voice recorder question earlier? If so, I now know what you have against batteries.
First things first: You have been given some bad information.
If you leave the batteries in the recorder, nothing bad will happen. I have a good quality recorder, and I always leave batteries in it. You never know when you will need the recorder right away. When it is turned off, it doesn't use battery life anyway. Only poor quality recorders would have this problem.
If you carry a few AA batteries in your pocket, they will NOT "burn through." Whoever told you that... well, don't take any more electronics advice from them. ;-)
The only way a battery would overheat in your pocket would be if it was short circuited. Something would have to connect one end of the battery directly to the other end.
Putting a battery in a pocket with 2 pounds of loose change wouldn't be wise, but other than that, you are good to go.
Take it from someone with 25 years of electronics experience, you have very little to fear from a AA battery. :-)
Back in the mid 80s, you never saw me without a Walkman. portable tape players burned batteries like you would simply not believe... so I always had a bunch with me. If they really did burn you if put in pockets... I would would have died. ;-)
Now for the environmental issues:
Buy rechargeable batteries. Just that simple.
4 AA batteries and a charger can be had at places like WalMart for between $13-$20.
I would suggest the Energizer brand if you are buying from WalMart's selection.
They can be recharged many times, and are very decent batteries. Places that sell higher end electronics will usually have better selections.
Your best bet is to but Lithium-ion (Li-Ion) or Nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries. Stay away from Nickel Cadmium (NiCAD) as they are really poor quality and very outdated compared to the other options.
When I was your age, rechargeable batteries were just about useless for portable electronics. Now, we have GREAT options to choose from and they are also very inexpensive.

I feel pretty frustrated that I spent a bit of my time at Futureshop deciding whihc one to pick and I decided to buy the $120 one (4G)with the cord to hook up into the computer. The other one that's $30 I thought was really cheap because you needed batteries.
Well turns out, the $120 one that I bought needs two batteries too! Batteries are a big no-no for me. I thought the cord was like a cell phone charger, you know? Are there even such kinds of voice recorders? (link)

Thought I would chime in with my experiences since nobody else has. :-)
I have a very high-end voice recorder. It makes the best recordings I have ever heard from a portable device... and it uses batteries.
To be clear here, and forgive me if you already knew this, but all portable devices that don't have to be plugged in all the time us batteries.
The ones you are referring to use batteries... they are just batteries that you can't change. These are called "captive" batteries.
Captive batteries are rarely a good idea. Take a look the the iPhone, iPod, etc... The biggest complaint is that when the battery fails, and it happens quite often, you have to send it back to Apple to have it changed. This is EXPENSIVE.
When you run out of battery, you either have to have an external battery pack to plug in (bulky) or be somewhere where you can plug in to charge.
The voice recorder is the same situation.
There is a reason why the very best voice recorders do NOT have captive batteries: When the battery runs out in the middle of a lecture, you just change batteries and keep going. Anyone with a cheap non-changeable battery is dead in the water.
Even most cell-phones have user-replaceable batteries. I used to carry three batteries at all times.
I am curious: Why are batteries are a big no-no for you?
Worried about throwing them away? Simple, use rechargeable ones. There are some very good rechargeable ones available at a great price in the sizes that are most common for voice recording devices: AAA and AA.

For about five months, I've been dealing with a problem with my ears. It started with the left ear and it was swollen and painful. Then it began discharging a yellowish puss, coming out so rapidly it would be on my pillow the next morning. I went to the dr and he gave me antibiotics. They didn't work. Because I have no insurance and pay out the pocket for visits, I tried to deal with it. Ended up in th er and was given different antibiotics. Pain had disappeared from the left ear and then my right ear began discharging even more harshly than the left ever had! Now it hurts, mostly when I wake up in the morning, but my ears are both clogged with this dried up puss which I try to clean out daily. Needless to say the antibiotics I received at the er aren't working either. What could this be and how do I get rid of it? I'm scared I'm on the verge of going deaf! Was supposed to visit an ent specialist but couldn't afford it. I feel so helpless. (link)

Head back to a different ER if you have to. If there is a Catholic hospital near you, they may dismiss your bill completely based on your inability to pay.
Let me ask you this: No matter what, you can make payments on your bill. As mentioned, you can't be refused medical service in the U.S.
So, you may have a bill to pay off, but it will not be as bad as you think. Losing your hearing, however, would be worse than any bill.
If someone offered you a million dollars for your hearing, would you take it? Not likely.
the bill will obviously be less than a million bucks, so you only have one clear option logically.
What you describe is more serious than the worst ear infection I ever had, and I had some doozies, so PLEASE go and get yourself taken care of.

does anyone know how to set a old cd that already has files on it to blank to burn a cd onto it by using windos media player? i know it has to be a brand new cd or it tells you to enter a new on and it wont let you burn.i dont have any brand new ones..how can i format one that i dont want anymore to make a new one? Hi there,
This isn't possible. When you write data to a standard cd-r, the dye layer of the disc is damaged. That is how the data is stored.
If the disc was finalized, then no additional data can be added to the disc.
The idea of making it completely blank again is just not going to happen. If it was a cd-rw, then it would be possible.
Good thing there are cheap CD-R blanks just about everywhere these days, eh?

Okay so me and my boyfriend (we'll call him matt) were hanging and his bestfriend, we'll call him pete, comes over with like eighty rolls of toilet paper to tp this kid we all three hate, we'll call him brett. He's just an ass and drew like dicks all over petes and matts cars last week so he wanted to get him back and asked matt to help him. So we go over to the bretts house and were tping and what not and brett comes running out of the hosue and grabs me. I obviously try to get away but hes much much bigger than me and pulls me into his house (his parents were out of town) and locks the door. He puts me in the coat closet and puts a cabinet infront of the door. He calls Matt and tells him to clean it all up or he won't let me go. He goes on to tell him that if they try anything he'll "gladly think of some ways to have some fun" with me... Eventually its all cleaned up and he lets me out. But before he lets me out of the closet he tells me to take off my panties and give them to him. I'm pretty much scared shitless so I do what he says and then he puts me outside. Everythigs just all messed up now...! I feel really really violated and I'm worried about my boyfriend and brett getting into it or something... They're both on the football team so I dont want matt getting hurt in practice and I'm scared this little war thing has gone too far because we didnt know brett was this crazy and that someones gonna get hurt but I don't know what to do or how to help... I am sorry this happened. This question is way more important than your boyfriend getting hurt on the football field. What you have here is something that you ABSOLUTELY MUST go to the police about.
I know you are embarrassed, and you don't want to make more trouble... BUT, this guy, Brett, Committed at least two crimes taking you into the house and restraining you. When you go to the police, tell them about the panty situation for sure. Don't leave that out. I am no lawyer, or cop, but that sounds a lot like sexual assault and kidnapping for starters.
No sane person handles this the way Brett did. I believe you DO have something further to fear from Brett, and if you don't go to police with this... then when he does something else to you guys the police will think it is his first offense because they have no record of what he already did to you.
This is extremely important!
Please go to the police with this. You are worried about your boyfriend, but YOU are the victim here. You are important, and you must never allow anyone to get away with something like this.
Even if you don't want to for yourself... What if 'he'll "gladly think of some ways to have some fun" with' someone else? What if you not going to the police allows him to rape and assault another girl?
Can you live with that? I hope not.
Please do the right thing here. For yourself, your boyfriend and whoever his next victims will be if you don't do anything.

last weekend was the first home varsity game, so all my friends drank and then went. most of my friends got pretty drunk, and my friend "e" was drunk too.
this girl "k" hates "e", so she thought she was faking being drunk. she asked me about it over facebook and i told her that at first i thought she was faking, and then by the end of the night, that she was actually drunk. "k" forwarded the conversation we had on facebook to some girl "a" and "e" found out.
"e" texts me today flipping out. and my other friend "b" texted me saying 'wow' she wasnt flipping out, i just think she was mad at the fact that she thinks i told "k" that i faked the whole thing. "e" got mad because now everyone is shitting on her and saying that more people hate her now. and probably because of me. i texted "k" telling her to stop spreading it around because i told "e" i would. we both have the same group of friends so im scared "e" is gonna tell everyone to hate me.
i dont think "e" is as mad as before, but she thinks i lied, and i didnt. ive apologized and even texted "k" for her. "b" texted me again saying w.e' but i dont know what to do or how to handle this situation. (link)

You know, this is one of those lessons that we are doomed to repeat until we make a firm decision on one thing: Don't ever talk about anyone behind their back, even with the best intentions... because it will be found out every time and always end in trouble for you and everyone else involved.
I think everyone goes through this. I did. The secret to success in this is simple: When someone says: "Do you think she was faking being drunk?" You reply: "I have no idea."
Same for every similar situation in the future, and your life will improve, I promise.
May I suggest that you apologize again? Perhaps let her know that you didn't really realize what you were doing when you answered that question.
You may lose all the friends in this group. Odds are they will not trust you again because of this reputation you earned by being involved in this.
I would end things with "k" immediately. She forwarded that convo to get you in trouble. There is NO OTHER REASON she would have done this.
Even if you lose these people as friends, more will come along eventually. When you have a new friend or a dozen of them, just remember never to repeat this mistake and this will end up being worth it.
Some people NEVER learn this lesson. There are 40+ year olds who do the same thing and sit back wondering why nobody likes them.
You, on the other hand, are WAY ahead of the curve because you asked this question. That means that you want to learn and grow as a person.

Another point about immigration when you are under 18: Legally, in the U.S. you aren't an adult. You aren't legally allowed to sign just about any kind of contract without your parent co-signing it or signing for you directly.
The other thing is this: Unless you are fleeing from a terrorist regime, and are in fear of your life from the government of your home country, most nations won't allow you to immigrate unless you meet a set of guidelines. Basically they want to make sure that you aren't going to be a welfare bum as soon as they let you in. Make sense?
They want a solid job history, a certain net worth (total worth of money you have and things you own outright) and an advanced degree from a reputable college or university in your home country.
Then you need someone on the other side of the pond to sponsor you to come to the UK.
I don't want to discourage you, but what you are asking for is just this side of impossible. :-(
The best way to be absolutely certain is to visit the British embassy nearest you, and talk to their immigration people.
I hope whatever is making you want to flee at 16 gets better soon.
