about

I'm a raw and living foodest. For those of you who are unfamiliar with what that is I only eat foods that have not been cooked. I do this because it maintains all of the nutrients and enzymes intact and is much healthier. I'm not here to try to convert anyone. I think you can reach maximum health by eating all kinds of foods fixed all kinds of ways. This is simply my life choice. What I'm here to do is help educate people as to what is happening to thier food. Did you know that the pharmaceutical companies have lobbied to have a law voted on called "Codex Aimentarius" that will take away our freedom to take suppliments? It has already been implemented in Europe. Of course it is still ok for them to put steroids, antiboitics and harmones in our foods. Have you wondered why there is a great influx of people acting aggressively and out of character? I'm here to help guide you through this mess. If you want to eat meat...eat meat...just get chemically free meat. I'm here to help you understand what is happening to you.

Hey i was the one who asked about the bruises on my legs.

I was wondering what you would suggest i should eat more of like a fruit or vitaman or something,

Thanks,
Becs

I've included beta-carotene because you told me that you recently broke your collar (clavicle) bone. Beta-carotene helps keep skin healthy , prevents night blindness and infections, and promotes growth and bone development. The foods that are good sources of beta-carotene are red, yellow, orange, and leafy green vegetables, fruits, including carrots, apricots, cantaloupe, peppers, tomatoes, spinach, broccoli, sweet potatoes, and pumpkin.

Vitamin E acts as the protector of essential fats in cell membranes and red blood cells. It reduces risk of cancer, heart disease, and other age-associated diseases and great sources of E are peanut butter, nuts, seeds, vegetable oils, wheat germ, avocado, whole grains, and raw palm oil. I'll take a moment to let you know about raw palm oil. If you are going to cook this is the oil to use. It has your complete vitamin Es in their natural state and it can withstand high temperatures. Taking any vitamin in it's natural state is the best way to take it. You may hear from people that they have heard that palm oil is bad for you. In a since they would be right. What they are speaking of is processed palm oil and just like any process oil it is bad for you. But palm oil in its natural raw state is actually very good for you and highly recommended.

Vitamin C destroys free radicals inside and outside cells. Helps in the formation of connective tissue, the healing of wounds, and iron absorption, and also helps to prevent bruising and keep gums healthy. May reduce risk of cataracts, heart disease, and cancer. Great sources of vitamin C are peppers, tomatoes, citrus fruits and juices, berries (goji berries being among the best), broccoli, spinach, cabbage, potatoes, mango, papaya.

Vitamin K cannot be made by our bodies, but not all vitamin K needs to be obtained from food, because bacteria in our gut can make it. Probably, about half our vitamin K needs can be made by gut bacteria. Great natural sources are apples, asparagus, green beans, beef, beef liver, broccoli cabbage carrots cauliflower lettuce milk, cow's milk, oranges, peas, potatoes, spinach, strawberries, wheat bran, wheat germ.

B12 is found in all animal products is initially manufactured only by micro-organisms, especially bacteria in soil and water and to an extent in animals' guts. Animals mostly get theirs by eating food and drinking water contaminated with these micro-organisms and we in turn get it from consuming animal products such as eggs, meat, and dairy. It is extremely necessary for healthy nerve function and a person risks nerve damage of they choose not to get it in some form whether it be food or supplement.

Folic acid is a member of the B vitamin family and important in the synthesis of DNA, which controls cell function and heredity as well as tissue growth which is what is needed when you bruise yourself. Alcoholics, pregnant women, and people taking certain medications may be at higher risk for folate deficiency. You see the taking of the aspirin, for example, is a blood thinner and weakens the veins and capillaries. You need folic acid for its tissue strength and building. Food that are great sources of this is Dark green, leafy vegetables, Whole wheat bread, Lightly cooked beans and peas, Nuts and seeds, Sprouts, Oranges and grapefruits, Liver and other organ meats, Poultry, Fortified breakfast cereals, and enriched grain products.

Site one is a great place to buy all kinds of things but I referred you to it for raw palm oil and raw coconut butter/oil. If you are going to cook these are the only oils to use because they don't go rancid in high temperatures like all the other commercial oils out there. The second site is where you can find goji berries if you wanted to buy them or you can simply put them in your search engine and a plethora of sites that sell them will come up.

It is best to get your vitamins from a natural food source, but it never hurts to find yourself a good mult-vitamin that is derived from a food source.

isnt it dangerous to eat food that is not cooked?
please explain il read if its long maybe il consider it. maybe some websites? ahah thanks. just sounds interesting!

The way in which food is produced today, such as how we raise our animals, the chemicals that we put on our fruits and vegetables, and the hybrid plants and animals that we've come up w/ so that someone out there can make more money, IS what is dangerous for us to eat, cooked or uncooked. This is such a complicated issue and I will not be able to cover all of the details here. I will include some websites for you. But to break it down simply: Any fast food that you eat is detrimental to your health. No question about it. You are consuming more chemicals than you are real food, for example. They put MSG (monosodium glutamate) also known as "natural flavorings" in about everything you eat. This is a known toxin that creates lesions in your brain. This substance is used in all fast food restaurants as a preservative. Have you ever wondered how cut up lettuce in the restaurant can last longer then the lettuce you cut up at home? That's because MSG is used not only as a flavoring, but also as a preservative. Most Chinese restaurants use it, though there are some that you can request they not use it. Have you noticed how store bought fruits when purchased unripe go from unripe to rotten? The animals that you are eating are raised in such horrific conditions that the conglomerates have to give them antibiotics to keep them from getting too sick too fast. They want to keep them well enough to get them to market. When you consume these meats you are ingesting these antibiotics which over (as you get older) time will render the antibiotics your doctor gives you to heal you when you are ill, not effective. Cows are given hormones so that they are in a continuous state of lactation. Their udders get so huge they can hardly stand up. Because of this unnatural state they are put in they become infected and are given antibiotics, but the antibiotics don't work that well and so pus gets into the milk. That's why they have to pasteurize the milk. I get raw milk and believe me there is a huge difference in taste and quality of the milk. Now we have another chemical that is getting into our bodies and that is hormones. If people are wondering why all of a sudden, since the late 1970s/early 80's you are seeing such an increase in PMS then consider the hormones women are ingesting on a regular basis that they do not need. Teenagers have enough of a problem facing puberty and their natural hormonal turmoil that they don't need anymore hormones in their systems either. Now let's talk steroids. Did you know that the meat you eat is filled w/steroids? It certainly is. Why would they do that you ask? Because it makes the animals grow faster. They are forcing the animals to grow in an unnatural state so they can bring them to market faster and make more money. It all boils down to the money. Someone is getting rich. Any sick cows that they can't sell they grind up and feed to the cows. This is an unnatural diet for them which is why we are starting to see Mad Cows disease. Since the public have found out about this feeding proceedure they say they don't do this anymore. Sure. The reason we don't see more of mad cows disease is because they usually kill the cows before this disease has had a chance to incubate. It can take up to 20 years or more to show up. Mad cows disease can be caught by humans and what you are not being told is that people already have the symptoms. Look at the rapid increase of Alzheimer's. Same symptoms different name. All they have to do to deflect our questions is to name something differently. Anytime you have a species cannibalizing you will see this disease and it can be caught by anyone that eats something that is infected. There is a tribe of people in New Genii who were cannibals. It was a ritual for these people to eat loved ones so that, in their minds, they would be w/them forever. They would come down w/the same symptoms we call mad cows disease. Scientists have made a direct connection here. Salmonella was nonexistent when I was a girl. People put raw eggs in protein drinks etc. because raw eggs are very good for you. The yolk is great for the brain and the whites are good for you if you are working out or training in some way. Now, you can't eat it because of the conventional conditions chickens are put in while they are raised. They are crowded into cages and piled one on top of the other. They poop all over each other and never get out of the cages until they die. They too are given hormones, steroids and antibiotics so that they can pass inspection and go to market. Chickens are also feed sick chickens. None of these animals are good for you to eat. People need to be more demanding of organically raised free range animals that are fed their natural diets. Sick animals means sick people. So, if you are referring to the commercialized foods that are in the stores, restaurants, fast foods, etc. as safe to eat? Then my answer is no one should be eating that. Our maker put everything we need to survive here on the planet for us in it's perfect form to eat. Anytime we mess with the natural order of things we are creating new diseases that we have to contend with.

The cooking/processing of foods kills the natural enzymes (the staff of life) that are in whole foods when they are highly processed. Everything has the enzymes in it to help us to digest them naturally and there would be no heartburn, indigestion, bloating, obesity, and a whole list of diseases not to mention better absorption of its nutrients if we were eating the foods naturally. Your body is only give a limited amount of enzymes in its life and because we are eating cooked processed foods we are using our supply. These enzymes were meant to be a backup system, yet we rely on them solely. Now people are taking digestive enzymes and digestive aids because they have used up their supply. The older you get the more problems people have w/ their digestion. When people let themselves get into this condition it makes it difficult to digest even the raw vegetables. Have you ever heard an older person say, I can't eat stuff like that anymore? This is why. I will include a few websites for you to see for yourself. As you will see I could only touch on it here and not all that well. Good luck in your search and you are welcome to ask me any questions that may come to mind on this or any subject.

Hey, I am 14 years old and I eat very healthily and wash my face morning and evening but i get really greasy skin. I have several shine-absorbing products from garnier that work extremely well immediately but then after a few hours i have shiny blotches around the t-zone area. I hate coming home, looking in the mirror and finding a greasy shine on my nose and around my face and i wonder what Ive been looking like throughout the day. Is there any facial products or natural ways of reducing the shininess of my face that are guaranteed brilliant results?

ty x luv rachel

I know this may surprise you, but the more you wash your face the more you stimulate your skin to lubricate itself, which is produce oil. I have oily skin too. I only wash my face in the morning when I get up and before I go to bed. I use an oil free moisturizer at night. In the morning before heading off for my day I put egg whites on my face and leave it for 15 minutes. Once you wash it off you will see your skin feels amazing and your pores will look smaller. I use powder whenever I feel oily and loose powder works best. With those of us w/oily skin the compact powder eventually cakes with the oil and renders it useless. I noticed someone mentioned cornsilk as an answer and that is very good advise. Cornsilk is made fro the stigmas of the female flower of corn. So, if your looking for natural than this would be it. The good news is when you get older you will be pleased your skin was so troublesome while you were young because you will look younger than all your friends as you age. Good luck!

I'm going into highschool this year & of course i need school clothes. I'm definately not affraid to wear anything, i like funky things. Money is tight this year & i want to buy some gothic/punk/weird/creative clothing but for cheap. i live in northern ohio, do you have any ideas for where i could get really cheap clothes??

please, any suggestions would help!

Try some resale shops in your area. They usually have last years designer clothes for really cheap. These are shops owned by individuals and what happens is people who have really expensive clothes take them there and sell them to the store owner and then the store owner turns around and sells these clothes to us. Resale shops don't take any clothing that is not in excellent (like new) condition and it has to be dry cleaned before they will take it. They will also take vintage clothing that is in excellent condition and this is where you will find your really different looks. The 80's had a punk era and this would fall under the vintage look. Where to find these stores? Look in your local yellow pages. The kind I bet you are looking for would be in your local funky district. Every city has one. You know the areas where the head shops are and a lot of young people who would be viewed as different hang out there. Here in Atlanta it would be "Little Five Points", in New York, Greenwich Village, but again all cities have an area like this. These areas are really fun to visit now and again and they are mind expanding. Have fun hunting and where ever you shop let your imagination soar.

I'm 14/f

Lately i've been bruising really easily mainly on my legs and i don't know where there even coming from i have alot on my legs and it's kinda frekin me out.
Is there like a nutritional illness i might have like not eating right or somthing or dose it sound like i just get hurt alot and don't realize it?

There can be nutritional deficiencies that will make you more susceptible to bruising. If you are low in C, K, B12, or folic acid you could be experiencing more bruising. Also there are certain medications that could cause one to bruise more often such as aspirin. If you are taking some kind of prescription drug you should check w/your doctor as to whether this is one of the side effects. I have an idea for you if you are experiencing bruising that will help you until you build your nutritional deficiencies back up. Get yourself some Arnica Massage Oil. The best brand name is Weleda. If you bump yourself and see a bruise coming up simply apply this oil right away on the area that you see the bruise coming up. It works best when done on a fresh injury. I have had bruises disappear w/in minutes. If it doesn't go away that fast for you it will, at least, help it to heal faster than the 2 or 3 weeks that it usually takes to disappear. Bruising happens to be ruptured small veins that leak out into the surrounding tissue. The reason arnica works is that it stimulates circulation and helps to reduce swelling. It’s good for all kinds of things like arthritis, abdominal pain, rheumatism, sore or painful joints, and sprains. So it is a great addition to your medicine cabinet anyway. Start increasing your vitamin intake of the above mentioned vitamins and cut down on white sugar and you should have this under control in no time. Good luck!

This question may seem a bit strange to ask in June, but I'm planning an army themed birthday party for my nephew in August. I remember seeing plastic camouflage easter eggs around Easter and I thought of an excellent party game. The kids could have an Easter egg hunt, except I wouldn't call it an Easter egg hunt because it's August. I want to section off an area of the yard with caution tape and put up Caution: Mine Field Signs. The kids can look for the eggs/mines. My question is does anyone have any idea where I can find these eggs? I've already searched on-line with no luck. The only place that I've found is on e-bay, it's $5 for 6. That's too expensive because I need a bunch of them. Around Easter I could have gotten 8 of them for $1.49 at Wal-Mart. So if anyone could help me find them or if you have another idea of something that I could use instead of the Easter eggs. Thanks!

I have found a website for you that have what you are looking for. They have the camouflage Easter eggs in a variety of colors as well as fatigue colors. Just scroll down the page and you will see them. You might contact the company and see if you can't get them all in your fatigue colors. They may be willing to accommodate you since this is the off season for Easter eggs. If this doesn't work out for you for some reason why not contact Walmart and see if they can't special order them for you from the company they purchased them from. I find a lot of stores are willing to do that if they don't have to make a huge purchase (more than you are willing to purchase or be stuck with). Walmart also may have some stored away somewhere. Again, sometimes companies are willing to make exceptions when they want to clear their warehouses of excess merchandise and it is in the off season. So, you have nothing to loose. If Walmart has them stored somewhere you could contact their headquarters and special order it and they'll ship it to you. There are all kinds of ways to do it. Good luck in your search and I wish you the best of luck.

Ok I am a 15 year old female that turns 16 in august. i have a job, and i only got like 500 dollars saved so far.i want a car for mi birthday. my dad said that if i came up wit half the money he would get the otha half. being that i got 500 already means it shouldnt be long more before i find me a decent car. can someone help me wit summen that i could do to get more money. thanks

I have included some sites that have some ideas for different teen jobs. I also have an idea that may work for you. What about selling stuff your family doesn't want anymore on eBay. Things sell best if the price is really low and in good condition. Be honest about condition on eBay and you shouldn't have a problem. You can go to garage sales and purchase things at very low prices and sell them on eBay. Again make sure that what you buy works and is in good condition. If people are too high at the beginning of their garage sale simply keep goin back on an item. You may still get it for the price you want at the end of the sale, because they may have it priced too high and others won't buy it either. At the end of the sale they will practically give it away. You can find garage sales in your local paper each week and you can put your cities name and add garage sales in your search engine and local garage sales should come up. The great thing about this way of making money is that you can be off doing whatever you want or need to be doing and your making money. Remember to mail peoples purchases w/in a week of their purchase and pick specific days that you will mail things out and put it in the ad so they don't rate you badly. Make sure you do ship things out on the days you say you will and you should do well. I've included some sites that will help you understand the garage sale process below as well. Good luck!

I just started my marching band training today, and my calfs get very soar really easily. Does anyone know any exercises I can use to strenthen my calfs?

Strengthening your calves is not the answer. You are doing that with your marching exercises that’s making your legs sore now. It couldn't hurt to do more strengthening exercises, but what will help you most are doing some stretching exercises. You need to stretch your muscles back out which will help you rebound from your exercises much easier. I have included a good website below that has some really good stretching exercises for you. There are good pictures and they are well explained. Do these after your marching exercises and you will feel much better. Good luck.

why do we cry as a form to express emotion?

this has really been a kicker for me lately and im really curious to see if any one knows why.

We cry in a physiological response to an emotional upset. During these upsets our bodies are working overtime producing hormones. The crying process helps us to eliminate these extra hormones that we don’t need. These chemicals and hormones disappear from our bodies in the form of tears and as our tears flow and eliminate these chemicals and hormones we become more soothed. This is one reason why people feel better after crying.

Do you guys think it's weird that my parents grounded my brother who's 21(I actually think it's funny)?

He's staying with us for a few weeks and he got a $300 citation for punching a guy on the beach yesterday. My dad didn't actually say the words "you are grounded" but he won't let him do anything. I mean he is an adult and everything haha.

My dad and brother have been arguing all morning because of it and I don't think my dad is right because my brother would have paid for it on his own. I want to say something but I just wanted a few opinions before I do so.

That's funny. I remember when I was 23 and home for a visit. I went out w/my girlfriends partying. We were out past bar closing so we went someplace to have breakfast. I didn't get home until 4:00 am. My mother tried to take my car keys away from me. I was the one making the car payments and made the down payment. I wasn't living at home anymore, just home for a visit. I simply walked out of the house and drove away. I stayed w/a friend for the rest of my visit. She wasn't too pleased, but she had no control of me at this point. The funny thing was, while I lived at home I never had a curfew, but now all of a sudden when I live on my own and I come for a visit I do? Parents can be funny sometimes. I wish your brother luck!

i was always told that going on the pill would make your period stop completely (by freinds, not doctors) and lately i've been seeing a commercial about a pill that can reduce your period to only 3 days?? now, is it true that there is such a thing as a birth control pill that can make your period stop altogether, or is that just a myth?

There's a new contraceptive that has not hit the market yet called "Anya" which will put women in control of how often they will have their period or even if they have one at all. It will soon be hitting the American/Canadian markets. Personally I feel very uncomfortable with this concept. I think some point, years down the line; it will be found to be the root cause of uterine cancer. You see our menstrual cycle is a cleansing process that is necessary for good health. I don't see a problem w/taking a pill to keep from getting pregnant, but not having a cycle is another story. It could be 10, 20, 30, years from now, but you heard it from me. This will be found as a cause for uterine cancer. But the good news with this contraceptive is you can choose how you want to use it. You can choose to have a cycle, just not every month, maybe every other month or something. I've heard that some people are going to choose to have a cycle once or twice a year w/it. That's better than not at all, at least in my opinion. I hope this was helpful. Good luck!

I started using Acne Free about 5 days ago, and since then my face has been itching like a beast. Has this happened to anyone else? It's started clearing my face us, but it itches so bad and dry patches are forming! My moms making me stop using it, is there anything else thats just as good? (Not ProActive, we can`t afford it)

It was just drying your skin out too much. You could have put a moisturizing cream on top of it and it would still work, or simply take a Q-tip and dabb Acne Free directly on the infected areas individually and not all over your face. Another option is to use the essential oil, "Tea Tree Oil". You can find this in any drug store, Wall Mart, or health food store. It's usually found in the vitamin and supplement areas. This is excellent for acne problems and will dry them out as well. It's has an anesthetic effect and will work the same as Acne Free so I'd dabb it on the infected areas only. Even though it is an oil it can be drying. Good luck to you!

About 2 weeks ago I had unprotected sex, that was my first time having sex in a year. I have lost my appetite a few days ago, I have been vomiting, I'm a smoker and now cigarrettes taste completely different to me and almost make me gag. A couple days ago I spotted. Does this sound like preg. symptoms?

Those are pregant symptoms. You really need to get checked right away to be sure. The problem I am seeing here is the spotting. That is not a healthy symptom of pregancy which is why you need to get to a doctor as soon as you can. Getting one of those pregnacy tests will let you know sooner if you are pregnant, but if you are, I worry about the spotting. Please see a doctor as soon as possiable if you find your are pregnant. Good luck to you and I wish you the best.

Hi =)
What are good ways (natural, not products) for my hair to be smooth and healthy? Please suggests things/food that actually works..
I have long thick brown hair that is kind of curly/wavy and it tends to frizz some. My scalp can get greasy but the hair gets a little dry.. I just want some remedies for it to be more nourished and silky. Thanks a lot in advance

Make a mayonaise type conditioner. How you do that is put an egg in your blender. Slowly pour olive oil in there until it has the consistency of mayonaise. Then put it in your hair and leave it for about 15 minutes. Wash and rinse and your hair will feel fantastic. If you want to make real mayonaise, 1 egg, 1 tsp powdered mustard and 1/8 to 1/4 cup lemon. first put the egg in the blender and slowly add olive oil until it thickens to mayo consistancey, then slowly add the other ingredients one at a time. It's great too. Another hair treatment is to buy raw coconut butter. You can usually find that at any health food store. Saturate your hair w/it and leave it in for 15/20 minutes. Wash it all out and your hair agian will fee fantastic. I hope these suggestions help, I know they work well for me. Good luck!

I was with my boyfriend for a few months and every day I found myself more and more in love with him.

Well, out of the blue, the other day he dumps me. He tells me that his feelings have changed. He tells me he has been feeling this way for a while. And yet I just don't understand why he's doing this. He goes on about how I'm an amazing girlfriend and an amazing person and that "It's not you it's me". He always said that he wanted a nice girl, one that would be there for him and care about him. Well, here I am right infront of him and he lets me go.

I gave him the world on a silver platter.. and this is what I get in return.

I need to know, from a guys point of view why he's doing this. Hell, girls you can answer it too.

Also, what can I do to make myself happier? I haven't been happy in a long long time... =/

There is a new book out by the author John Gray, "Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus", I don't know what the name of it is and I've tried to do a search and can't find it. But, what he says is that men don't like having things handed to them on a silver platter. They like to have to work to get what they want. You know the conquering hero kind of thing. They want it to feel like some kind of conquest, like it was illusive and not w/in their reach yet they got it anyway. According to him if you make it too easy for a guy he'll not be satisfied and will look elsewhere. So as you can see that myth that people go for someone who treats them badly isn't all that much of a myth. My suggestion to you is act like you don't care that he broke up w/you. Immediately start seeing other guys and act like you don't care if your x exists or not. Be nice, of course, if you should run into him, but let him see you w/them. The problem here is if someone else becomes attached to you. They most likely will because you will be emotionally detatched because you will still have feelings for your x. What I'd suggest here is to keep telling the people you go out w/that you are dating other people right now and not committing to any relationship. That way you are being up front w/them about where you stand. Don't talk about your x when your w/them unless they specifically ask questions and enjoy yourself while on your dates. Who knows you may find someone else that may even be better than your x, and that would really drive him crazy. You see if you make it look as if he doesn't matter to you and that others do want you he may take a second look to see where he went wrong. I hope I gave you some food for thought here. I do hope everything works out for you I know how awful this feels and I wish I could make it better for you. But getting back out there and dating different people just might help you on the road to feeling better.

Also, happiness is a state of mind. The more you think happy thoughts and look for the good in things instead of the negative the more you will find yourself being happy.

Namaste!

13/f, my grandmother used to be okay, never used to get into my way, always feeding us, and helping us. I went to this award banquet, and she didn't like what I was wearing. When she described what I should wear, it was a wedding dress. I explained that for this occasion, you just wear simple things, but she didn't listen. I went the way I looked anyhow. Everyone who passed us, she would say, you see how that person has that... and other what nonsense. She said how my breasts were sticking out. Bra or no bra, of course it would show, I have breasts, wouldn't the shape and size of it show? Now for graduation, she's forcing to dress up in some wedding gown thing. My mom had to tell her no. My grandmother thinks that I'm dressing the wrong way. What's her problem?

Answer to second question at the bottom.

When I was your age you had to (if a girl) dress up wearing a girddle w/stockings, your best dress shoes and a dress w/ white gloves just to go into the downtown area. I remember the first time I saw someone wearing a pair of blue jeans in the downtown area I thought how strange they looked. Things are definately different now for better or worse. I sometimes think people take things a little far, but I also am a believer in personal expression. Just because I don't think it looks all that great doesn't mean it doesn't. Your grandmother is just remembering a time when people dressed for certain occassions. To be honest it was fun at the time and I think she doesn't want you to miss out on this. It's ashame she is so closed minded in this area though. I don't see the harm in her suggesting them, but she should be understanding if you don't choose her suggestions. Sometimes people can't get out of their heads. What I do when my mother is like this is ignore her. I let her say whatever she wants and I nod my head, say ok alot, and then go ahead and do whatever I want. Don't argue w/her, let your mother do that. It only causes stress for you and her to argue w/her. As long as your mother doesn't have a problem w/how you dress I wouldn't worry about her. Your grandmother doesn't really have any power over you, just your mother and father. They are the ones who make the decisions that affect your life. But to keep peace, let your grandmother say whatever she wants, keep quiet,do whatever you want, and enjoy life. Don't let these insignificant little glitches bogg you down. Good luck and happy life!

In answer to your question as to if I'm Hindu or not:

In a way I am. I follow the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda. In his teachings he also incorporates the teachings of Jesus Christ as a great Yogi and Master. I go to his temple here in Atlanta. I have most of his writings and have read his most famous book, "Autobiography of a Yogi", if you ever have a chance to read it I think you'll find it facinating. I believe all religions are manificatations of ONE, who was simply trying to reach us all through our many cultures, which is why there are so many views on how to reach the same goal. I believe all the religions of the world are right and I believe all of the religions of the world are wrong. Yin and Yang. Now if only we could join forces rather than seperate ourselves we would be able to accomplish things more beautiful than we could ever imagine.

i have a boyfriend and i love spending time with him and all, but lately it seems that we dont really have things to talk about. and there is this other guy who i have liked for awhile and i have been talking to him a lot lately and i always have a blast with him. i like them both a lot and have no idea what to do about it! i dont really know if there is anything i can really do about this but i need some input from ohter people!

You are young and just starting to explore the different levels of love. It sounds to me like you are enfactuated w/this other guy. This will happend throughout your life, even after you are married. Someone really interesting will come into your life who is really interesting and fun. This is not love. I'm not saying that something can't develope from that. It certainly can and most times that is the way we meet someone and it then develops from that into love/or not. It's a crap shoot. You never know. Now your discription of what is going on in your relationship w/your boyfriend is the comfortable stage of the raltionship. Things aren't exciting anymore because you've moved past that. You know each other and know what the other likes and doesn't like. It's really a great place to be with someone. What you have to do is get some excitement back into your relationship with your boyfriend. Do something that you two haven't done before. Now if it just doesn't feel like it is there for you anymore, then I'd suggest moving on and testing out this new guy. When you are young that is what it's about. You are testing the waters, so to speak, looking for the characteristics of the person that you would like to spend the rest of your life with. You could end up thinking that you want someone who is a mixture of your present boyfriend and this other guy. You'll never know until you've tested the waters and explored. People do get hurt and you will even get hurt. It's an unfortunant consequence of this exploration. Try to be kind about your let downs and soften the blow as best you can, but don't let someone hold you in an emotional hostage situation. Move on when you feel it is time. It really is best for everyone concerned if you do. Good luck and have fun, that's what life is about.

Say you're working. Some guy walks in, and he's a nice, respectable young man who, after moderate conversation, turns out to be kind of interesting.

Okay, I'll just cut to the chase. I'm basically asking how you would respond to a guy asking for your number while you were at work (one who doesn't work with you). What 'parameters' would lead to a positive outcome, if any?

-I overthink things consistently.

Since this person doesn't work w/you then it shouldn't be a problem to give him your number. The only time it would be inappropriate is if it is someone you do work with. I would keep personal conversations limited since you are at work and suggest to him that he call you if he wants to chat about non-work related issues. Have fun exploring this burgeoning friendship and enjoy.

okay, my boyfriend tried dip and says he's not going to do it again because it gives him a headache. he also talked about getting a buzz from it. can someone explain to me what exactly it does besides give you something gross to chew on?

It's the nicotine that gives you a speed like buz. You get kind of wired on it and feel like you have a lot of energy. Some people get so addicted to it that they have to have it in their mouth at all times, even when they are sleeping. When America was first discovered and Europeans first tried tobacco it was an hallucagin. It was a sacred herb to the Native Americans . The Native Americans used it sparingly and only in certain ceremonies. When the Europeans got a hold of it they toned down the hallucagin aspect of tobacco and we have what is availabale today.
