greasy skin

Question Posted Friday June 23 2006, 3:02 pm

Hey, I am 14 years old and I eat very healthily and wash my face morning and evening but i get really greasy skin. I have several shine-absorbing products from garnier that work extremely well immediately but then after a few hours i have shiny blotches around the t-zone area. I hate coming home, looking in the mirror and finding a greasy shine on my nose and around my face and i wonder what Ive been looking like throughout the day. Is there any facial products or natural ways of reducing the shininess of my face that are guaranteed brilliant results?

My friend introduced me this facial wax paper that whipes all the grease and dirt under your skin preventing it to show up later in the day.

You can get this facial wax paper at " THE BODY SHOP" or " BATH AND BODY WORKS"
they are great! i love them

Try bringing a compact mirror (with powder) and some oil absorbing cloths in your purse to touch up whenever you need to.

I know this may surprise you, but the more you wash your face the more you stimulate your skin to lubricate itself, which is produce oil. I have oily skin too. I only wash my face in the morning when I get up and before I go to bed. I use an oil free moisturizer at night. In the morning before heading off for my day I put egg whites on my face and leave it for 15 minutes. Once you wash it off you will see your skin feels amazing and your pores will look smaller. I use powder whenever I feel oily and loose powder works best. With those of us w/oily skin the compact powder eventually cakes with the oil and renders it useless. I noticed someone mentioned cornsilk as an answer and that is very good advise. Cornsilk is made fro the stigmas of the female flower of corn. So, if your looking for natural than this would be it. The good news is when you get older you will be pleased your skin was so troublesome while you were young because you will look younger than all your friends as you age. Good luck!

Namaste!

Exact same problem. I found a miracle product. Its powder, but its not even makeup! Its by Sally Hansen and they call it cornsilk powder or something it comes in a square container and its like 5.99 but i tell you this stuff is basically my best friend cause no matter how much i wash my face it gets oily again!! So just powder your face with this oil-absorbing powder and it will rid the shine! i use it all the time and its a lifesaver! cuz i know what you mean about when you come home nd look in the mirror, i do that and im like ewww everyone has to look at that haha well this was long but good luck!
