okay, my boyfriend tried dip and says he's not going to do it again because it gives him a headache. he also talked about getting a buzz from it. can someone explain to me what exactly it does besides give you something gross to chew on?

It's the nicotine that gives you a speed like buz. You get kind of wired on it and feel like you have a lot of energy. Some people get so addicted to it that they have to have it in their mouth at all times, even when they are sleeping. When America was first discovered and Europeans first tried tobacco it was an hallucagin. It was a sacred herb to the Native Americans . The Native Americans used it sparingly and only in certain ceremonies. When the Europeans got a hold of it they toned down the hallucagin aspect of tobacco and we have what is availabale today.

I don`t mean to tell this to you, but don`t believe him! My ex boyfriend dipped one time, and told me about it. He told me he was never going to do it again that it was nasty, and i told him that if he ever did it again i was going to be mad and probably break up with him. Well a week later he broke up with me because he wanted to dip, and he didn`t want me to break up with him. Well we became best friends and i was curious to see wat dip was like. (why did he like it so much to break up with me) So one day he was at my house and he had skoal (a brand of dip) peach and i tried it. No it wasn`t nasty, it was actually kinda good, but it made the inside of my lip burn. When i took it out i was dizzy and bussing. *the affect of nickatine* I would not do it again tho. Well i hope i helped =]

It is nicotine and tobacco.
It makes your teeth a really nasty yellow, and can give you mouth cancer.
I never understood it, it smells and tastes pretty gross, but, to each his own.

i never had it, but we learned about it in health class haha =) everyone says it's not the taste er anything. well i guess you could get flavored but still, it's gross even looking at it. its the nico. in the chew. kind've like ciggarettes. people are addicted to cig because of the stuff in them, like people addicted to chew. it's basically the same situation. since i had neither, i can't tell you if it tastes good er anything, but im doubting it doesn't. you should ask your boyfriend about it. maybe he can explain it more.
