Omg. I just saw this huge flock of birds in my backyard. I can't tell what they are. The are bigger than ducks but smaller than turkeys. They are brown, have flaps of skin on their chins, and iridescent wings and tails. They fly. What could these be? (link)

i am so in love with my girlfriend, i cannot get over how lucky i am to have her, i tell everyone about her, on my myspace i have a pic of her, i love her and tell her that everyday, and i think she is the most beautiful thing to ever walk the plante, but this is where the trouble comes, she thinks she is the ugliest thing ever, she thinks she is fat and just ugly, and she has had a terrible life, all her life her dad and her family have called her fat and ugly, and she is not, and i tell her she is so beautiful everyday, but she cant believe me and she is so insegcure, and it is not just like a usual teenage girl, it is horrible, she has nervous breakdowns over it, i dont know what to do to get her to believe me...and help? Hey you seem really nice, and shes lucky to have a boyfriend like you. But what i strongly dont suggestion is what the perosn said below me, was moving in together since you to are only 15. But i'd have to say, the best the thing you could possible do is..
1.Listen to her. I admit it sounds lame, but a when a girl is feeling down about herself, she needs to know exactly that your listening to her, and you always will.
2. Make sure she knows YOU think she isn't ugly ect. Beacause if she knows that you honestly 100% think that, it will help her out.
3.And when shes having breakdowns, the best thing you can do, is really listen to her, and let her rant it all out on you. So then you can be the one to tell her how amazing she really is.
And Also since her parents tell her that, I'd tell her to ignore her parents when they that beacause she really doesnt diserve to hear that kind of talk. And so you know you may not get her to believe you 100% but deep inside she really does know that you love her & think she is beautiful.

I use a sponge to wash my dishes -- wet sponge, squirt on detergent, wash dishes, rinse dishes and sponge, pretty standard. Every time I get out the sponge to wash the dishes again, it's hard and stiff and I have to wet it for it to be flexible. Is this the normal condition for used sponges or is there something I can do to make the sponge soft all the time? I tried rinsing it an extra long time last time, but it's still got hard again. Water dries, like when you spill it on the floor it dries up.
Does the same in the sponge, and usally faster.

i've been going out with this guy for about 9 months. we're totally different and hang out with completely different people.
Me = the drama nerds, and preps.
Him = the ghettofabulous people.
for this whole time, i only hang out with a few of his friends, the ones i can stand. but tonight, he invited me to go to the roller rink with him. i said yes, thinking it was only me and him. but apparantly a few of his friends are going. ones that i've talked to, but never really wanted to be associated with. i guess i feel pretty obligated to eventually hang out with his friends since he hangs out with mine all the time.
any tips on how to get along with them and not feel like a total outcast?

Realize, It doesnt matter who you have as friends, You just got to see the better in people. It doesnt matter your sterotype friend group, or his. Just go there, have fun and be with your boyfriend. YOu dont have to love his friends, but you can atleast try to be with them, considering he hangs out with yours right?
So just be nice, to them. Have fun

I am almost 15 years old.My boyfriend is 16 turning 17.I dont get along with either of my parents. Is it normal to want to have a child at this age? I talked to my boyfriend about it he doesnt help to much. He has told me he would do anything i want because he loves me so much. I told him i think i would want to wait till i am 16 at least. Its pretty normal.
But considering you have your whole life ahead of you, and besides your boyfriend doesnt sound like much help. And you had to ask people about it, i have a feeling that you're not exactly sure you 100% want it. Its normal to feel this way, but you got to realize its alot of money, to have a child and you mentioned you dont get along with your parents, so they cant help you out. It would be pretty tuff for you to do that, I personally dont suggest it, for you. But so you know it is normal.

Okay well my brother was talking about guys cumming & busting a nut or what not okay. well you THINK you have herpes. you should go to a doctor or sexually transmitted disease center and look into it more.
and stay away from sex until you are sure to prevent from spreading it to anyone else.

So I am a twenty-one year old female and I've suffered from panic attacks since I was a pre-teen but have managed to get them pretty much completely under control with therapy and medication.
My problem is lately I get these really weird little attacks that last only 5 – 7 seconds. I've always been told that real panic attacks last much longer but these feel just like the big ones, I stop breathing, I felt hot and sweaty and everything feels doomed and I'm terrified for no reason, but then it's just over and I only feel a little shaken by it. Has anyone else ever experienced something like this? They are so quick I can't seem to stop them, any ideas? (link)

well i have never had panic Attacks but i do think you need to go to the doctor to get it checked out. if you have problems in your life maybe that is the cause. also what about stress balls or stuff that you can squeeze to relieve pain or stress. well like i said its probably best to go see a doctor.

I'm 16/f, I'll be getting my license in 3 months, I really need my own car, I have 1500 dollars saved in the bank from me working my butt off for a year. I work at coldstone creamery making 6bucks/hour, my parents won't help me buy a car because of their financial problems. My dad said theres no way in hell I can get a reliable, safe, dependable car for 1500, he said I need at least like, 4500, and im like, really discouraged. I just want to know from anyone who was in my situation, how much money should I save up to get a decent car, cause my dad wont let me get a crappy one. Or can I get a nice one for the amount I have? hmm... (link)

your dad is lying. for $1500 you can get a damn good car and a crashcourse education on auto mechanics. my first car was a 1975 chevrolet el camino with more rust than actual paint. but i restored that 350 V8 over the course of a month and got her running as good as ever. she only lasted a year and then the engine mounts, and the old 350 turbo transmission were giving out on me and so i tossed her to the side and got my lincoln. i paid $400 for that car and i got her to last me longer than any car that cheap ever should. $1500 is a pefect amount of money to get a decent older car and since you have a job you can use that as a down payment to an independent seller and pay them a certain set amount every month until you pay them off.
the fact is there are several great cars that can be had for a low cost. but most people are prone to the mindset that says: if it's used, or more than 10 years old it's no good. that's a lie. my suggestion to you is something simple. a 1984 datsun 280ZX or a 1985 toyota cressida. the cressida's 1JZ engine was touted as the number 4 most reliable engine of all time and it's an easy engine to work on, and there's plenty of room in the block to fit your hands and figure out any problems.
the 1984 datsun 280ZX and the 1985 nissan 300ZX are essentially the same car. small, sporty, and incredibly reliable. they do not die. i've seen these cars run up to 500,000 miles and still run strong. you are not going to get a car you wont have to put some work into for $1500 but you know what doing that work is the most rewarding part. i'll tell you this much. that datsun would easily last you 20 years or more. the engine is simple, the repairs are even easier. and the transmission (granted it's a manual) is one of the heartiest trannies i've ever dealt with. the old Z's were the first street legal rally cars and it shows. they were tough, and they were damn near bulletproof. i've never had a problem with a Z that i can't fix shy of not having the tools or parts on hand.
the 1980's ford crown victoria/mercury grand marquis/lincoln town car. they had the ford 302 V8 which is one of the most reliable and tough engines i've ever laid my hands on. a 5.0 liter engine that can keep cranking on past 300,000 miles. they would sooner rust in half then stop running. i can get you one for a good price and the car would last damn near the rest of your life if not outlast you. they might have some minor problems like dirty fuel lines or maybe you'd have to change the fuel filter here and there but that don't mean shit the cars are built to last
the 1970's international scout II. this car has a solid iron cast engine block. and a radiator taken out of a dump truck. those things were the cars used in the jungles of vietnam by the US intel officers. they were tough, they were rough, and they were bricks with wheels. they can be totally rusted, totally ghetto, and totally trashed but i will stake my reputation as a mechanic and as a car guy on the fact that they will always always start up without much more than maybe some low oil. they are the most intense cars i have ever seen, and very very tough. they had a 345 cubic inch V8 that was actually heavier than chevrolets 350 V8 and much more reliable than the 350. the scout was made by international harvester corpoation which is now known as international truck company and they now make semi trucks. but the scout was their last road vehicle for civilian use. the scout is a beast. any car that when the carburetor goes out can run with a piece of pummice (volcanic rock that's full of holes) as a device to mix the fuel and air for the next 50 miles and keep chugging. the scout is a beast. and a car i reccomend to anyone needing a cool, cheap, and reliable car, that can be a classic.

Your way to young to have a baby, beacause you still call your parents "rents" and cant type at all.
Yes the states takes children away, for many reason usally beacause of bad parenting, or abusive parenting. So if you take it to heart, you will do the best you can.
Usally Parents cant make you give up the child, but if you end up not being able to take of the baby, or are abusive, the parents can go to court and usally they end up with the child.
