how to keep the sponge from going stiff I use a sponge to wash my dishes -- wet sponge, squirt on detergent, wash dishes, rinse dishes and sponge, pretty standard. Every time I get out the sponge to wash the dishes again, it's hard and stiff and I have to wet it for it to be flexible. Is this the normal condition for used sponges or is there something I can do to make the sponge soft all the time? I tried rinsing it an extra long time last time, but it's still got hard again.

I know all my sponges get hard too..but that's because they just dry out..like starfishes lOl they get hard after being in water then tooken out along time..so i think it's like..natral lOl ]
Yes, it's normal. If you want it soft all the time just put it in water and leave it. ]
Water dries, like when you spill it on the floor it dries up.
Does the same in the sponge, and usally faster.
no, there isnt a way. ]
wow
are you just really stupid or what?
could it possibly be that the water in the sponge just dried and evaporated? no, it couldn't possibly be that ]
Hey,
Yes. It's totally normal. When I wash my dishes like you do my sponge is always hard untill I put it in water.

hey um yeah thats normal for sponges. they cant stay soft at all times. they have to get hard. cait ♥ ]
This is very normal for sponges. They're supposed to do that. If it really bothers you, try getting a different kind of sponge. There are some types of sponges that remain soft. Just squeeze the package to see if it's soft before you buy it. Good luck! ]
its supposed to got stiff. thats what happens when things dry out. there's no way u can get it soft all the time, unless u keep it in water 24/7 ]
