Question Posted Friday February 17 2006, 9:41 am

I was wondering if anyone knows of Greek gods? What were the powers of the Greek gods /What did they do? Which fictional mythical creatures would be good for a fantasy story?

Here's a great site that has a story about all of the ancient gods. You just click on the figure and their story will pop up for you. I love the
Greek gods. You can have a lot of fun writing stories based on them. You could also write a story about how the Greek gods lead by Zeus overthrew the Titans and took power. Good luck and have fun!

Namaste!

OMGosh I love Greek Gods and Goddesses, they are my absolute fav.
So here I will help you.
Zeus-god of the sky; ruler of Olympus
Poseidon-god of the sea and earthquakes
Hermes-god of merchants; messenger of Zeus
Hera-goddess of marriage; consort of Zeus
Athena-goddess of wisdom, war, and crafts; patron of Athens
Aphrodite-goddess of love and beauty
Apollo-god of the arts (esp. poetry and music), archery, and divination
Ares-god of war
Demeter-goddess of agriculture and fertility
Dionysos-god of wine, mysteries, and the theatre
Hephaistos-god of smiths and metal-workers
Artemis-goddess of the hunt and protector of children
those are all of the main gods, but there is also many many more which would include the Titans and the ¿Chorithens?dont know how to spell that. There is also the free spirits and yeah, there is so much. lol
