i need an eyeliner that does not run through the day, im sick of constantly buying eyeliner that always comes off.

im willing to spend a lot of money on it

any ideas?

i like the amzing lasting eyeliner pencil thing from almay. i used maybelline's unstoppable and it's just like it put foundation on you lids before you it on to make it stay. i have NYC brand liquid eyeliner and that works well for me.

My boyfriend just invited me to a themed party. The theme is "Time Warp" and you have to dress up from a certain time period.

Here's the problem... I have a grand total of 4 hours tomorrow to get together a costume, and I have no clothes other than jeans and t-shirts.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I could dress up that will be easy and relatively inexpensive to find at a mall?

My boyfriend is dressing up 50s style, by the way.

you could match your boyfriend in the 50s theme. i saw a dress at forever 21 that has sleeves and it's button down and has a tie thing around the waist that looks like it's from the 50s. (think the dress in the notebook) it's probably $30 or less too. put on an apron and some small heels and dress as a 50s housewife. if you don't have the money, go to a thrift store and find a dress from a random era and then go crazy. look through your mom's old clothes for accessories and stuff. good luck and have fun.

I'm in a horrible mood right now. Anyone who at least tries to make me feel better gets a 5 from me.

I'm in a musical theater class at my school, and we're doing a concert of scenes from assorted musicals.

We had this audition for a big number “Don’t Tell Mama” from Cabaret

Now, I put loads of time into this audition, and I was DYING to be Sally Bowles because I'd never had a real role in a musical number before. So today, we had call-backs. And not to sound conceited, but I think I did the best job, and everyone told me so, too. I was in character, sang it with a full-vibrato Broadway belt, and had it memorized. The drama teacher said that she wanted to divide Sally Bowles' big solo among all the girls who auditioned. She said that “nothing is decided for sure yet,” but it's probably going to happen. I'm really disappointed. I've always wanted to have a big solo since I was very young, and Sally Bowles is one of my dream roles......


And on top of all that, the song is gonna be choreographed by STUDENTS. And out of all 30 girls in the class, it HAS to be the most annoying girls in the class who know SQUAT about staging.......they're going to have us doing these ridiculous hand motions. And there's nothing I can do about it, either. And my school did Cabaret a few years back, and we already had good choreography to the song. There was no need for new choreography at all.

I understand that she's trying to be fair and give everyone an opportunity to shine, but I'm still not happy about it.


Am I selfish for being mad about this? Do I have a right to be upset? I feel like a brat.

so i'm a huge theater person... and this makes me angry too. don't you just hate when they want to give people "a chance to shine"? ok so about dividing the solo... gross. i'd be like ok either give me the thing or just don't do it. she might just be saying that to keep you in suspense... my directors call back people that have like no chance just to make us all like whoa there's competition now. so just hope that's the case and you get it.
so this is class thing... staging oh gooodddd. luckily, the directors for staging don't really do THAT much. i have some directors that give suggestions on where to stand and maybe how to stand and that's it so maybe you'll get lucky and you can just do whatever comes and since their annoying they'll just go bug other people since you look like you know what you're doing. maybe if you show them the old choreography they'll like it and just like slightly change it to make it their own. don't be a brat about it and be like yeah this is how it should be done but just be like ok this is how we did it before and it looked good so i think this is a good idea.
yes, you can be upset. it's musical theater... it happens. i'm angry at a director right now, actually. everything will be ok in the end..

my friend was talking to the guy i like tring to get him to like me. he said if he got to know me better he might give me a chance. and he said he would call me tonight but the only problem is i dont know what to say. i mean i talk to guys on the phone alot but i really like this guy and im afraid there will be a awkward silence (i hate those) and i wont know how to break it or think of something to say. he might call me tonight or tomorrow. also i see him in school alot what can i say to him at school?

hmm lets see... i'm not a pro at this but i think i can give you some tips that might make it go a bit smoother..
* think of things you have in common... maybe write them down if it helps you.
* if you want a conversation to last longer, ask questions... even if you know the answer. i don't mean like so where the home game on friday but like oh who all is going?
* you can't get him to like you, know what i mean, so just have fun with it and be yourself. if he doesn't see how great you are, then fine. don't get all worried and stuff about what you're saying, just go with it and say what you want.
* just say hey at school.
* try inside jokes or something like calling each other "cuz" or something.
* i don't know what you're like but if you like to joke around a lot, make the awkward silence into something funny. my friends say "gay baby was born" just cuz it's random and it works haha.
just be yourself and everything should work out fine.

it's only a week... don't freak out yet! i'm guessing you're young and not really into the whole long term thing so a week is quite a bit of time? not a bad thing no worries but just wait a little bit. if he doesn't kiss you after say, a month, then maybe kiss him or just talk to him about it and see if there's a reason he's not. good luck.

What is up with these 13 yr olds and getting pregnant/asking for advice about fingering and sexual things like that. wtf is our world coming too.When I was 13 I was still playing coodies with the guys next door or riding my bike around the neighborhood. Gahsh by the time I turn 30, 5 yr olds will be worried about sex. WTH

yeah, pretty gross, huh. well some kids are just really curious about what everything is when they hear someone talking about it. i don't really see that many younger girls getting pregnant but yeah now they're staring sexual stuff a lot younger... and that comes from people being more open about it and tv and also because it's the cool thing to do to look older at that age. hope that kinda gives you a different take on it... i'm still kinda searching for that answer for myself and thats what i've come up with.

16/f. my religion tells us not to have sex until we are married, and i plan on sticking to that. im possibly going to a get a boyfriend soon though, and i dont know how to tell him that im waiting. what are some excuses of why i cant have sex with him besides my religion and i dont want to?

ok so if this guy likes you and wants to be with you for a while... he's not gonna ask you to have sex for a while so it really shouldn't be an issue. just take it slow and he should get the hint. if he asks just say you want to wait for marriage, simple as that. or you could just say you're not ready to handle it or the consequences.

I'm in High School now and i had tennis, polish classes, religion school classes all going on and now? NOTHING! This feels SOO weird. tennis is over & its too late to join up religion n polish. IDK what i should do!I have 2 older sisters who live in other cities like half an hour away but and i get soo sad becuase there's nothing to do and nobody to talk to. My friends aren't really into extracuriculear stuff & IDK how they do it! WHat should i DO!! I was thking a job or yoga, but what kinda jobs can teens do? and what is yoga all about? Other than that WHAT ELSE!

you could join a club at your school. maybe something like drama? it's a fun way to get involved and get to hang out a lot. you could hang out with your other extra curricular-less friends and go shopping or join a gym together. there's not many jobs you can really get at 14 besides babysitting and maybe pushing carts at a grocery store. you could find some kind of arts and crafts class or do girl scouts or something. there's a lot of things you can do, just keep looking and you'll find something you like.

well i have really long,medium thick hair (down to my elbow,long layers,bangs to my mid. neck) its kinda ll just blahhh and i need a new hair cut! !the highest inches i'll (probably) take is 2 1/2 inches.but im really open to any ideas!pics would be great,but arent needed.=D

you could get some more layers or get it thinned. i'd get shorter side bangs, too. sometimes i just tell the stylist to do whatever looks good. if you really want to change, consider getting a lot taken off. I got 10 inches off during the summer... i gave it to locks of love and get a whole new style that i really liked so you might want to keep that option open. hair always grows back, that's what makes it fun to play around with.

Was there a reason you didn't eat dinner last night? I know my mom doesn't like it when i don't eat something she made... then later on she doesn't make anything cuz she didn't feel appreciated. if your mom just didn't feed you then you really do have a problem. are you sure there's nothing in you house? just eat anything thats left around... bread? do you have any neighbors that can help you? have you tried borrowing money from friends or relatives? you could ask for $20 and maybe buy some things at the store... you really have to budget it tho, don't just splurge and don't get all junk or you will get sick. if you can't afford food, go to your counselor and make arrangements. i really suggest talking to a family member about this tho. just get some food in your system... don't be picky. drink some water or chew gum, whatever gets you through the night. well i hope this gives you some options, if you need anything else, let me know and i will try my best to help you out.

hi! well ive been into tight-skin pants for a couple years now. like...ive sewed them myself makin them skin tight. but the thing is, now that these new "skinny jeans" are in, i admit i like them better then my old skin tight jeans. Also, the real thing is, that whenever i wore my skin tight jeans (all i ever had) i would wear my black converse! but those are crappy now i had to throw them away and honestly they dont look good with my skinny jeans. So heres my problem: i dont like flats. but skinny jeans def. dont look good with my new reg shoes. so what do i do about my flats problem? What other shoes look good with skinny jeans? you could get a cute pair of boots if you don't like flats. i've seen them worn with heels... a little bit more daring but it could work.

My friends dont know me anymore. I've changed so much and I don't know what to do. I'm always the "good girl" that would never do anything bad or wrong. I've been labeled that for the past 2 years and I hate it. Everyone know's me as the "always happy, preppy, good girl". But I'm not like that anymore. I love doing crazy things that are shocking. I want a tattoo and my belly button pierced. I want to drink & try new things (haha not drugs though!) I wanna have fun.

See this all started happening when I became close to this one girl. Her name is Erica. She is a senoir and i'm a freshmen. She's really cool and laid back. She's one of my best friends. We hang out all weekend and talk almost everyday on the week days. She is the complete opposite of me though. I'm way preppy and always smile and laugh. She's dresses down and doesn't care about what she looks like. I guess she's a good influence in some way, because she made me learn not to care so much about what other people think (but i still do!!).

My whole life I always knew I was being someone I wasn't. I wasn't this always happy good girl barbie that I was labeled and been labeled. Towards the end of last school year and this school year, I got more into the "f*ck life and have fun" attitude. I wanted to do pot and drink. I wanted to always do something that was crazy and unexpected of me. I fell in love with the old rock classics (60s-70s)and if people hear me listening to that music... they're like "eww chelsey.. you're becoming a druggy?!". (since when did the music you listen to label you as a druggy or non-user?).

But ANYWAY... I've finally opened my eyes and notcied that erica is a bad influence in my life. She's the one who introduced me to all of this. Smoking, drinking, pot, music, & my attitude. I don't know if this is who I've always been and it was just covered up with hollister clothes and california hair or what, but i'm so confused now. I don't know how to say this, but I like this new person way better then the old. I'm so much more opened and dareing (?).

Now the hard part is, my friends refuse to believe this. If I even curse, there like "OMG! chels you cutie, thats mega bad... when did you start using those words!?!!". AHHH im like stfu. And then I think to myself, what if they knew i wanted to drink or try pot... they would like sign me up for therapy. I don't know what to do?!?! I want people to realize that I've changed, and accept that fact that people change, and wanna do different things. Whats your adivce? What should I do about my life? I don't even know where to begin with all my feelings. Thank-you for answering HONESTLY... I really respect your opinion.

One more thing... I kinda started seeing this kid this year and me and him really hit it off. He's mr. popular and stuff so when he first started talking to me I was soo excited! But now that were haning out more often we almost created like a relationship. A couple nights ago, I found out that he drinks and gets high often. When me and him went over to our one friends house (they were having a party). He took me back in their yard to the bon-fire. A couple of my best friends were down there so I started talking to them, but then they went up and i followed them half way and then went back to the bon-fire. When I came down they were smoking and getting high. Now it just wasn't the kid i liked... it was some of my other guy friends too. They offered it to me.. and I reacted quickly by taking the blunt and throwing it in the fire. (hahaha i know right). So now is it that my friends can smoke but i cant? and i get yelled at if i even curse? WTF?!
