about

I'm a mother of 2 boys who are 13 months apart. Talk about a handful. I'm a wife to the best husband I could have ever dreamed of.
I'm one of the very blessed.

I have Bipolar 1 Disorder. I hate taking all these medications and always going to doctors appointments, but life is too short to let mental illness get the better of me.

Often times life is a challenge, and nobody knows that better than me. I wake up wondering if this is going to be a day my illness overpowers my meds, and either sends me flying like a bat out of hell, or leaves me laying on the couch like a wet dish rag.

Thank all that is good in the world that I have an excellent support system at home.
I'm one of the lucky ones.

I'm honest, and that can either be a perk or s flaw. Depends on how you choose to look at it.
I like to see it as a perk, because it's better to hear the truth than to be told candy coated bullshit.

advice

I'm 14 and I don't know why but for 3 days now it hurts to walk. Like above my butt (where the jeans would touch) at at the right, there's nothing there. but when i walk it hurts as if someone has a voodoo doll and just keeps poking me there when I walk.

Does anyone know what it could be and how I can fix it?

Nobody can tell you what it is or how to fix it except your doctor.
If you are having back pain, that is whose advice you should seek.

Okay. Well. Yeah. =]

I'm a 17-year-old guy and I'm bisexual. It took me a while to admit to it, but I finally accepted it. =] Anyways, I've told my mom and she has no problem with it. My parents are divorced, by the way. Well, I want to tell my dad, but he is extremely homophobic. I seriously think he would yell at me. He lives in another state. I visit him in March.

Should I tell him I'm bisexual, and if I should, then how? I'd like to tell him before March because I wear eyeliner and don't want to stop wearing it when I see him.

That's tricky.

What do I think? You have the right to be who you are in this life, and he needs to either accept it or not. The tricky part being if he choses not to accept it.

But this isn't about what I think- it's about what YOU think.

I agree with Razhie that you should talk to your mom about how to handle this. You say you want to tell him- she will surely have a good opinion on how to do so.

Can you get like physically sick from liking somone so much?

If a person who just discovered their spouse was killed can die of broken heart syndrome, I would say anything is possible.

last weekend my boyfriend and i were going to engage in sexual intercourse,it was my first time, and he tried to get it in,it became painful, and i told him to stop,I've been reading about pre cum,im not sure if there was any,he just kinda removed his pants and under garments and tried to get it in,there was no foreplay, and if there was pre cum he says he thinks he remembers peeing before he came over,so i know the chance is slim, should i worry?also a few hours after i had cramps?what could have caused that, and what can i do to keep my mind off it,i've literally been thinking about it all day,and im stressed,i know this can cause period delay, any advice on that?

Pre cum could have been there, and it does contain sperm. I would say it is highly possible, because a man secreets it when he becomes sexually aroused.

It only takes one out of the millions that swim out during sex.

Stay calm and try not to fret. (I know, easier said than done.) The worry can cause a delay in your period, as well as being irregular, which is common if you are a teen.

If you become at least 2 weeks late, take a test.

So i am starting to like this guy i work with! He just started working at my store... I am not sure if he likes me or not.. but i was just wondering if it is weird or not to date someone you work with?? and if we ever dated should we keep it a secret from everyone we work with?

You shouldn't have to keep it a secret unless there is a policy at your work that disallows dating co-workers.
There is nothing wrong with meeting a love interest on the job.
HOWEVER. Dating a co-worker can lead to issues at work between the two of you if things go south, so beware.

ok i shipped an xbox to my brother and i insured it. He got it today and it wont load any of the discs at all. i got the insurance on it and i dont know what to do. it worked when i sent it out. i am sure i checked it before i packed it up. so what do i do?

If it worked before you sent it, then something happened during shipping.
You should have a slip of paper for the shipping insurance- follow the instructions on that to resolve the issue.
Don't take a loss on this.

About 5 days ago, my boyfriend and I had sex. We used a condom, but when we were finished, we noticed it had slipped off and was still inside of me. I immediately pulled it out of me but my boyfriend says it was empty. And I know my boyfriend ejaculated, he said he did. However, I've been on birth control for about 2 years and I also took an emergency contraceptive, "the morning after pill" about 4 hours after we had sex. The pill I took was called Plan B and required me to take 2 pills. One immediately, and one 12 hours later, which I did. Lately, I have been feeling extremely nervous and hungry, even after I have just eaten my stomach feels empty again. Also, my heart beats appears to be beating faster lately. I am not supposed to get my period for another 2 and a half weeks either, so I cannot take a pregnancy test any time soon. But my question is, how likely is it that I am pregnant? The condom also had spermicide on it by the way. Please help! I'm 17/f.

Birth control was plenty, I'm quite sure.
You are being very paranoid. That's probably why you are feeling so nervous. The nervousness is likely the cause of your heartbeat issue.
No offense, but if you are so paranoid about pregnancy, maybe you should avoid having sex?

i was born with a deviated septum, and when i was a baby, my crooked nose wasn't that noticeable, but now that I'm 14, in my first year of high school, it's getting to me more than it's ever has. i really want to get surgery and then move to a different school so the other people wont notice i did it. this stupid crooked nose is getting in the way of my confidence and its bugging me. i just want to get surgery!! so my point, is that i want to know... does anyone else struggle/has struggled with this? i also am wondering.. how much does surgery usually cost???

The cost of rhinoplasty varies. You'll have to consult with plastic surgeons in your area for prices.
As for the kids at school knowing, who cares? A deviated septum causes other medical problems within the nose, so there is more reason to repair it other than just cosmetic.

17/f and wondering about the shed rate of my hair. I have light brown (natural) hair of normal thickness, and I take good care of it with regards to shampoo, conditioning, air drying, etc. I just don't understand, I know it's winter, but my hair seems to be shedding alot. Every time I shower (every/ every other day), there's a little clot left at my drain. Whenever I brush it, a good pinch accumulates in my brush. Almost every time I run my fingers through it, at least one follicle comes out. Is this normal?

I go to a competitive high-stress prep school, get about 6/7 hours of sleep a night (whatwith work), don't have a current winter sport, and eat healthfully.

Hair naturally sheds.
I would say if you have excessive amounts of hair coming out, it could be caused by stress.
If it is too bad, you should see your doctor and make sure it isn't caused by an underlying health issue.

I recently pierced my nose myself (last thursday)
Since then, it hasn't gotten infected, it's just a little red (obviously)
I would like to keep it this way- I hear dial soap is good- should I continue using that? I've also been using alcohol- but I think that's drying out the outside of the piercing.
any tips on the best way to keep it clean and possibly make the redness/dryness go away?
thanks in advance ! (:

Here is a link with aftercare instructions:

I will say that when I had mine done professionally, they said not to use anti-bacterial soap, but mild soap. Also not to use rubbing alcohol.

My friends and I were having a discussion in my AP US Government class because our teacher was absent and we were bored. Anyway, one girl was telling me how, if you're not legally certified and you were to, for example, give someone CPR or the heimlich maneuver, even if you save their life, they can sue you...
She said once she was lifeguarding at a club and somehow a pingpong table fell over on a young girl and the parents wanted to sue for emotional damages or something like that. They club had to settle because their lawyer said the lawsuit could win. I just have 2 questions...

How is it legal that you could sue someone for saving your life just because they weren't certified to do so?
How is it moral to do that? Your life (or child's life) was SAVED, how are you going to morally justify suing someone... are you that cheap and can you possibly want money that much?

I suppose I might understand if someone performed one of those and the person died because (and it should be proved) it was done incorrectly... but come on.

How is this legal? I plan on asking my teacher next time I see him, but I was just curious as to what laws would justify this.

can someone show me a website or something where i can see what factory tint looks like on a car?
Thank you Very much =] !!

Well, it depends on what car you are referring.

Factory tints look really nice, though that doesn't help. If nothing else, factory tint won't get you a ticket for being too dark.

Is there such thing as a hairdresser that can get it exactly how it looks in a picture? If so where lol In England Preferably round East Yorkshire but not bothered.. I have mid length blondish hair and i wear clip in extensions and i want this layered cut and its sort of bleached blonde but iv lost all faith in hairdressers because all my life Ive never had a good colour/cut.. tho it seems easy to do..

yh so any recommendations?

xxx

I've never met a hairdresser who can make you look exactly like the picture.
I suppose if you chose a picture of a person with the same exact hair type, head shape, and face shape they might be able to. Might.
I wish I could help you out, there in England. I live in the US, so the best I could do is search hairdressers in your area and pick one randomly. :(

so heres the deal

ive been with my boyfriend for 3 years on and off.. im really in love with him and this weekend was crazy.. friday we stayed in a hotel 2gether.. and we hang out all the time.. i live in missouri and he lives in illinois. he comes and picks me up all the time.. he calls me his shawty..

the thing is, hes bout 2 b locked up.. hes turnin himself in about 2 weeks.. im waitin on him.. hes not going in for something real bad, it was a big misunderstanding and hell be out real quick.. should i stay with him????/
thanks=]]

When we hang out with people who are known for doing bad/illegal things (even if they don't, but have that reputation) we tend to be assumed just like them. It's called guilt by association.

It's up to you to decide if that is grounds for you to break up with him.

My boyfriend's parents are divorced because few years ago, his dad cheated on his mom and later she did the same too. But they still live together to raise him. If his father did that, would my boyfriend be like his dad in the future? I am worried about this in a way because i know he is being faithful to me but there's a saying "Like father, like son." You just never know what would happen later in the future.

I agree with Nova. You can't judge the boy by his father's mistakes. Also that "like father, like son" is generally directed towards positive.

He learned his parents cheated on one another, but I'm sure he also learned what kind of serious blow that is to a relationship. I'm sure he learned that cheating on someone causes pain and strife for all of those in the family. Yes, his parents' cheating behaviors caused him pain and strife, too. I'm sure he also felt deceived.

Yes, kids learn from what their parents do, that includes learning from their mistakes.

You have to give him the benefit of the doubt. He is not his father. To mentally persecute him for his father's mistakes is completely unfair (not that you do), as is worrying that he will make those same mistakes (yes, you do that).

Who will your boyfriend be like in the future? He will be like himself. He is his own person.

hey well ican drive and i have a car but i dont have a lisence and i hate reading and i have to read the drivers handbook to pass a test on the computer....and did i mention i can drive really well..... well see the problem is i took the test 3 times already and i havnt passed now i hate reading but should i just read the handbook or is there an easier studying method....????

Sorry. You have to read the handbook.
Being a great driver is knowing ALL traffic laws, and knowing what to do in certain events.
Being a great driver is reading and studying your driver's handbook even if you don't want to.

My dad need's to get a new driver's licence, but he doesn't have his birth certificate. He doesn't know where he was born either, and has absolutly no way of finding out, atleast to our knowledge.
My dad is on disability and cannot get any money out of the bank untill he gets a new driver's licence. I was wondering if there is any way we can find out where he was born and get him a Birth Certificate. Any help would be greatly appreciated, this is more serious than it sound's.
Thank you.

Best solution I can think of is to go to your State Department of Vital Statistics. They may be able to research where he was born. If he was born in the United States, he'll have to send for the copy from his state of birth. They'll help you figure out how to do that at Vital Statistics.

Before i get married i want to have my middle name be legally erased meaning instead of changin it i jus wanna legally take it away so i no longer have a middle name im sure ill need a new birth certificate but will i need a new social security number? is it even possibly to legally permanently get rid of my middle name? if so where? how long is the process? how much would it cost?

You can legally change your name. Your social security number won't change.
I don't know why you would want to- your parents gave you that name, and your name is a life long gift. Your middle name is a part of your individuality. (There may be millions of Sara Smiths, but there may be only one Sara Skaborkilian Smith.)
I know, hard to see it that way if you hate it so. My husband hates his, too. He doesn't use it, he just signs his name using his middle initial only rather than his full middle name.
Realistically, nobody is going to know your middle name unless you tell them, anyhow. It isn't a name you use on a daily basis.
