hey! i recently permed my hair (about 3 weeks ago) and while i was at the salon, the stylist told me that i cant swim in swimming pools because the perm will come out. origionally, this wasnt a problem, but i separated my shoulder and now have to get in the pool (head under also) for physical therapy. is my perm going to come out? Usually I only hear that you can't get your hair wet within like the first 48 hours or something, but maybe the rules change for the pool because of the chlorine or something. My advice is if you're really worried, go back to the salon and ask them. They're the experts. But, the easier thing to do would be just pin your hair up and put a swimming cap on.

If you have mutual friends with the girl then you can ask one of them if they know. You can also try and get to know the girl better and see whether or not she seems to like you. If you try and talk to her and she doesn't seem interested then you shouldn't go forward with it, but if she does seem interested once you get to know her it may take the edge off of your shyness and you might be able to comfortably ask her out or just ask her to hang out at least.
If you're able to build up the courage to, you should ask her directly, because it's the only way you can know for sure. But you could always get a friend of yours to ask her, or a friend of yours to ask one of her friends.

I think in order to get a moving picture you have to have a program that allows you to create an animation by layering the pictures you have, thus creating the animation. Such as, Jasc Animation Shop. You can get a free trial at http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file_description/0,fid,7652,00.asp
this program has step-by-step wizards to help you. The link I gave you will give you any information you need to know about the program.
After you're done you can have an image hosting site host your picture for you.

it's summer and i need some extra cash for necessities. what are some jobs i could do? and if anybody suggests soemthing like cleaning/dog walking ora ntyhing HOW DO I ASK people if they want ym services? and how? like how do i say i want 4.00 an hour (or how ever many) w/out sounding demanding? what would you want to hear? and what would uw ant done around the house? or outside? whatver. what would u want to heaR? You could...: babysit, mow lawns, dog walking, dog grooming, bake sale.... etc. All you do to ask the people is to print up some flyers on ur computer, and stick them in selected houses thru-out ur neighborhood. a way of doing this is: if the person is elderly, they will hire you, because they won't want to do any of the chores, or if you know people who have dogs....

Ok so my hair is brown, really thick, a little past my shoulders and wavy/curly. The only problem is, I don't know how to style it. Usually I'd straighten it, but now that it's summer, I'm too lazy to lol, plus the humidity would just make it frizz like CRAZY. What are some good products that are like "curl enhancing" or whatever. I've tried using a ton of those but they don't work very well [the ones I used] Whenever I try to let my hair just dry naturally, there's always something that makes me just put it up in a ponytail instead, like frizziness or it's too poofy. But I'd really like to wear it down once it a while. So what are some good products for that? Thank youu :] (link)

First off, your hair sounds sooo pretty=]. okay, John Freida has a product, its a conditioner called frizz-ease. john freida also has a product its a mouse that you put in your hair after you take a shower, its called something like... curl ease i believe. anyways, hope i helped=]=]=]=]=]

okay so theres this boy at my school and last year we were in the same classes but this year we werent.. and then this year we had one class only one part of the year together and we talked like..not alot but once or twice about just like "can i borrow your pen" or something like that and i didnt think i liked him last year but this year when we had the class together i realized that i acutally do like him. but im really not gonna go up to him or tell him how i feel. waht can i do ? Well first of all, you need to get to know him a little more. if al you say to eachother is "can i borrow a pen" you realyl can't get anywhere. Start a conversation with him, try to get to know him. Make sure you show intrest in him so he is hinted that you like him. Soon enough, you'll be able to approach him and tell him now you feel.

Okay, so my friend just hooked up me and this guy. & I like him, and I'm pretty excited.
But the chances are my parents arn't going to let me date. He want me to go to the movies with him, and personally I don't like going to the movies of first dates. Excpecially when you just turned 13 and have overprotective parents.
I offerered to go to the pool club with him, I don't think he's too crazy about that idea. And he really does like me, alot. I made up the excuse not to go to the movies. I feel bad. What should I do? (link)

Tell this guy about your situation. Start by saying " I'm sorry i cancled about the movies, i would really like to go on a date with you but my parents are really overprotective and might not let me date." He should understand and respect your decision and maybe you two and compromise on a place to have your first date. Maybe you should have him come over to your house and meet your family..that way they might losen the rules and let you go on a date with him.

About two months ago,I was just looking through my closet (it's a mess :]) and I came across a letter. I assumed it was something for me or from me being in my closet and all. So I opened the letter and I saw that it was adressed to my dad, from my mom (they got divorced when I was about 7. I assumed this letter was from then) My curiosity got the best of me, so I read it. About half-way through the letter, I just wanted to crawl in a hole. My mom said that my dad told her that when they got divorced, that he didnt love her, and that he hadn't for a while. I just thought that all the times I saw them together, hugging and kissing and everything was a lie. I'm still really upset about it, even though the letter got wet, so I can't read it anymore. People fall out of love as easily as they fall in love. A lot a lot of people's parents get a divorce..and thats because they couldn't work things out or because their love couldn't last. It was probably for the best that your parents divorced. My parents divorced too, but i wouldn't want them together to this day because everyday they'd be fighting. And you don't want that. You just have to know that its for the best!
Try talking with your mom if you still feel horrible about it.

I know nothing about cars.

the acura MDX is a safe car, but it's gonna be around $35-$40,000 and it's gonna cost at least $5000 to paint it. painting a car is expensive and costs a few thousand just to do. the MDX does come standard with 4 doors but like i said it's much more expensive than any pontiac. and it's used at that.
the pontiac G6 convertible is a much better buy, cheaper, costs less to maintain, is cooler looking, gets better gas mileage, and will be new.
but the real issue here is why do parents buy their kids brand new cars? i think it's foolish to buy your kids a brand new car. insurance is going to cost an arm and a leg no matter what car it is because you're a kid and no matter how you look at it no kid is a good driver. secondly you're a high risk, a new driver, and it's just a bad idea to purchase a new car for your kids. once again i'm going to say go for a 1989-1993 mercedes benz E-class or a mid ninties volvo 960. much safer cars, much more reliable, still classy, decent gas mileage, lower insurance cost, lower overall cost, and very nice looking.
there's no reason to buy your kids such a new vehicle, it's just too big an insurance risk. something 10-15 years old will be just as good, last just as long (as most kids wreck their first car anyways) cost much much less, and will save your parents money in the long run. i say look at something older, at least then painting it pink will be cheaper as will maintenence, repair, insurance, and the initial purchase. a car is a money pit, all cars are. but you can save money buying something older, that costs less, and do the same job. saving your money will let you have more money for other things and will still allow you to own a nice car at an affordable price.

I just got some hair curlers. (The kind you're supposed to sleep on) I have no idea how to put them in, how long to keep them in, if my hairs wet/dry, etc. Help? (link)

Okay. When you have hair curlers, your best bet is to take a shower before you put them in. Now, make sure your hair is still wet, and seperate it into the number of curlers sections. for example... if u had 8 curlers, you would seperate your hair into 8 sections.
Step 2. If you have the curlers that have the plastic rod, and foam, then this is how to put them in : Grab one section of your hair, and grap the tip of it. Now, place it on the foam part, then keep twisting your hair around it until it reaches the top of your head. then, fasten it with the plastic rod.
If you have the curlers that twist, and if they have a hole in the middle of the curler, then follow these directions: grab the tip of a section of your hair, and place it thru the hole. then, wrap the curler all the way to the top of your head. then twist the curlers, so they are secure,.

Most likely it is a problem with your bloodpressure. But it also can be this disorder called "virtigo". It is when the liquid balance in your ears, which keep you level, are uneven. It causes lightheadedness, so you might have it.

Ok. For around two weeks EVERY night I've been having bad dreams. And it sucks.
It'll either be a new dream, a dream I've had before, or a combination of a couple dreams.
I've had this one for 3 nights in a row, seriously. I walk into a room, and look in this mirror. And there is this half-dead ten-ish year old girl with a bloody KNIFE standing behind me. But when I look behind me she's not there, she's only in the mirror. Then there is this other one where I get put into a coffin and I'm buried alive.
So...
Would there be a reason that this is happening ??

This could be happening because you first had the dream and got freaked out by it, and then it keeps coming back because your thinking about it when you go to sleep. I've heard about this happening to people, weather its nightmares or just silly dreams. Try watching something funny before you go to bed, or doing anything to get your mind off of it. That always helps me. Try releiving your stress. It will go away soon. Let me know. Good luck :)

Well, here's the thing. I know that I want to become some sort of psychologist/therapist for a career, I just don't know what specifically. This is what I want to do:
1. I want to help children/teens
2. 1 on 1 counceling and group therapy
3. I wan't to have my own practice
4. I wan't to help kids with their problems- not just study them
Do any of you know what field I need to go into specifically?

You could be a family psychologist. that way you can work with kids, teens, and other age groups. You can also make it your own practice. And you can also do 1 on 1 conceling and group theripy by being a family psychologist.

Anyways, now, according to my friends, he's my officail boyfriend. That the part I'm not so sure about. I mean, a boyfreind when you're only 13? I feel too young for that... You can really have an official boyfriend whenever. And, your not too young. I mean if he asks you to be his girlfriend..then he's your official boyfriend. Don't worry about being young..it just prepares you for later relationships.

You should def. do it in person, its cute that way. Whenever the time is right, you can say something like "I've already told you this but i _____ (like, really like, love, ect).." and then just ask him to be your boyfriend. Basically anything will sound cute.
