Hello everyone. I am a first time flier and I am worried about the security check thing. We are flying with Southwest if that helps any. I know most of the rules and I've visted the TSA website but I'm still a bit confused.

1. Can I carry on a camera, my makeup, and my cellphone?

My main concern is make-up.

2. If I decide to put my make-up in my luggage (the luggage they throw around) and it goes through the scanner thing, and they see it, would they open my luggage, exposing my clothes and everything to take the make-up out?

3. If anything liquid or gel is in my luggage will they take it out?

4. If I dont want them to throw away anything or confinscate anything should I put it in my luggage?

5. I also read that the checked baggage screening can damage undeveloped film, does that include the memory card of a digital camera?

6. Also, what about purfume? That is flammable. Would they raid my luggage to retrieve that as well?

7. Could I pack an underwire bra in my luggage and they wont touch it?

Honestly, I think you are over thinking this. for the luggage you check in (not carry ons) you can put anything in there. they won't take out lotions or gels, and you can carry perfume. they wont touch anything like that... it won't matter what you pack. you're allowed to pack pocket knives and razors in your bag as long as you dont have it on your carry on. sometimes they will open your bag and run a cloth around the edge to test for any bad stuff. but they usually never go through stuff... too time consuming.
if you are really concerned, put your undies in a bag of some kind, and your make up in one too and fold your clothes. when you go through security with your carry on, you will be asked to put your bag, shoes and coat in plastic bins. i've seen people carry whatever makeup they carry on in a bag so they have easy access to it if necessary... not usually a problem tho. it won't ruin the memory on your camera but you can put in in one of the bins that dont go through the scanner along iwth your cellphone. I've flown at least 20 times in my life.. both domestic and international,trust me, you will be fine.

how can you tell if someone has been smoking pot? (besides smelling like it and drug test)

The person below me mentioned ways to tell... when they are high. after they smoke and the high wears off, there's really no way to tell besides grades dropping for some or just delayed reactions.

i have not smoked pot scine december 28th. from now till january 20, if i just drink lots of water and nothing else. will it be out of my system?

It depends on how often you used to smoke but I think it will be out by then if you drink water. i've heard working out helps too.

I was just wondering why on instant messaging and on this site (actually alot on the internet) people type like this:
"Heyy whatsss upp??" or "I needd advicee aboutt myy boyfrienddddd."
They usually dont add like alot of letters except on IM though. I can understand why people shorten words, so they can type less, but why would people make themselves seem dumb by adding the last letter of a word 2-10 times? Is it like a trend, or am I missing some kind of secret? Thanks.

I usually use proper english and I rarely abbreviate words but I do add letters on. I do it to add emphasis. Instead of a thousand exclamation points I'll say "it was SOOO bad!" or "it was awesomeeee!" I avoid using it more than one in an IM tho, thats annoying, I agree.

can i get anything from starbucks? im 13. i heard it was really good and stuff.. but quite expensive, too. but what are some good things on the menu.. that perhaps arent so expensive? like the coffees and stuff. i wanna try cappuccino cuz the name sounds good. does that taste good? also all those frauppuccinos and etc, lol. thanks!

tall frapps are about $3. i recommend the vanilla bean frapp and the strawberry one. they are very yummy!

Well I just got my nipples pierced, and I'm not having any problems with them at all. The question is this: will I like.. go off in the detector at the airport?! Very random, I know, but I fly a LOT and I'm just not sure. Thank you!

I'm almost 16, and I look extremley young. My question is does anyone know of anything I can do with my hair/makeup/clothing that will make me appear older? (photo of me on column name: pockets).

for interviews and formal occasions, wear suit-buisness woman type clothes. a good example site to look at is victoriassecret.com, actually. they have clothes and a lot are made to fin younger people with that more mature look. don't wear bright shirts/etc. browns are usually easy to work with. look at what younger teachers wear... it acutally helps a lot. I don't know if this works for you but i part my hair at the side and up it up in a not-so-messy bun or sleek ponytail. hope that works for ya!

not too long ago there was a sale at charlotte russe and all jeans were 19.99 and under. personally, i buy one pair of pricey jeans (around $40) and wear them all the time because i think they last longer but that's just me. also try old navy, grocery stores, or tjmaxx. shop sales!

Tomorrow is the first day back at school. I compared my new schedule with my friends' schedules, and so far none of them have the same classes as me. What do I do if no one is in any of my classes? I get really nervous and paranoid when I don't know anyone.

hey, my first day back at school after winter break, i started at a different school in a different state... as long as you know someone in the class, you'll be fine. just be friendly and talk to the people you know. i was really scared to since i knew 1 person in the whole school but you'll be ok. anything else, jus let me know!

You know how when you get "turned on" your vag gets wet, well literally everytime I am with my boyfriend, that happens. you are normal! you're just turned out, you're right about that. if he goes to finger you, it has a few advantages... you'll be wet so it won't hurt (or hurt as much) and if he's a man, he'll be turned on my it.

ok haha would you mind explaining some of those to me and how long do i do those for?

the scissor leg lifts... put your hands under your butt and look up (like lift your head off the ground.) then up your legs up in the air and lower one at a time (alternate) and i usually count one one two, two one two, three one two...
toe dips... lay on your back like you are sitting and put your hands behind your head then dip your toes down till its 2 inches off the floor (count the same as the other one)
bike crunches... do them slow.. count if needed and just like switch legs.

What are some good ab work outs? And what are some good like diet things that i could try?

i did this workout one year and had really good abs...it came from a magazine.
20 sit ups
2 sets of 20 scissor leg lifts
2 sets of 20 toe dips
2 sets of 20 bicycle crunches
stretch out after!

Okay I've seen a couple recent questions on splits but I have one more thing I need to know. My splits are about 5 inches on my right leg and probably 7 on my left leg from the ground. If I stretch everyday how long could it take to get my splits? I need them by approx late April/early May for my studio's show. Is it possible? Okay thanks!

yes, do work on them everyday. I did that for a couple months and now i have them. what i did was stood on one leg then put my other leg up on my bed then squat lower and stretch the back leg more and more as well as lots of kicking and other stretches. good luck!

I'm 15, freshman, still havent gotten my frist kiss! Ugh so frusterating! But in this area like 50% of people havent gone out wit someone yet or kisses someone. Is this weird? and makes me frusterated! Wat can I do?

I see a lot of questions on this site about SEX. I think the weirdest part for me is that the age of the girls asking is like 12 and 13! Im 15 and I havent thought about sex yet..Im just not ready. I think Im MORE mature for it. I dont do it because I dont want to become pregnant. But Im also scared of it, am I immature or more mature than these 12 year olds having sex? Someone just explain to me how they can have sex without any second thoughts. When I was 12 I was like playing with barbies...Im really confused.

there are a lot of gross things going on, I agree. just think: why does it really matter to you? some kids are gonna do it that young so they might as well be informed. that, and some kids get interested in sex at a young age, can't ask anyone else so they ask people on here so there's not a million and one messed up idea of what it is rolling around in their mind. you're not weird, you are just trying to save the world from overpopulation and that is a-ok.

If it was God's plan to have Jesus die, rise again, etc. etc., why does everyone have an ax to grind with the Jews? And wasn't it Romans that killed Jesus?

I'm Catholic and I've always been taught to love the Jews because our religion just branches from them and we have 5 books in common with them in our bible. I don't know anyone would be anti-semitic because we only have one major difference in our beliefs - Jesus as the son of God. I guess some people are not educated about their religion (Most "Catholics" guilty there) or just want to hate someone.
