i am about to start a "keto diet" where you eat a lotttt of fat and protein and basically 0 carbs except the little that you get in greens. and you "carb up" one day a week. has anybody done this? experienced people only please. what kind of fat loss can i expect? im just trying to lose the last pounds of fat on my body so i look lean for summer (:
Ahh, the ol' low carb diet. I'll tell you one thing, it works for sure but you gotta stay strict on it and when you do have carbs, do not go overboard.
Here's the thing with carbs, they are very addictive, whether you realize it or not. You will most likely go through withdrawals when you first stop and it is hard to contain.
Does it work? Most definitely, but you have to stay true to it. One other thing, if you go off it and go back on the carbs hardcore, you will gain weight back very fast too. Usually, just doing the diet alone without any exercise will see significant results. But, I think exercise would be good too especially if you're packing in more proteins/fats.
I did a low carb diet a year ago and managed to lose 30lbs in about 3 weeks. I kind of fell off the wagon and have been trying to get back on.

She shouldn't be having sex period. She could still get pregnant or even far worse things such as STDs. Sex is not just something one can do and keep on living after especially at 12. Doing something like that at 12 can mess you up completely emotionally, mentally, and potentially physically.
This is not something she needs to be getting into this young.

If you really did love her, no other girl would matter in the world to you. The fact that you've already cheated and look at other girls openly is a bad thing. If she catches you and doesn't say anything, it's either because:
a.) she trusts you that you're merely just looking, but clearly you've already broken that trust with her.
b.) she probably doesn't want to make a fuss about it, but deep down it probably does hurt her.
By the way you sound, she deserves a lot better and seeing as you've both cheated, what's the use in keeping this up?
If you're going to keep thinking and acting this way, then you both need to end this.
Also, you're in for a harsh reality check in time with your attitude.
This is gonna sound like a stupid question, but do guys really care about how much a girl weighs? i'm definiely not the skinniest person but i think i am really pretty. im also a really nice person, with a great sense of humor. but im 21 years old, and ive never had a boyfriend. so do guys really only care about looks?
The right guy will not care about how much you weigh. Sure, everyone has their own preference but if you click emotionally and personality-wise, I think that will matter most. Obviously, it helps to take care of yourself and look good no matter how much you weigh and as someone said below, you do seem to have good self-confidence.
As a big guy, I had the same insecurity too and wondered the same about girls. Hell, I always do when i'm single. When I do find it or when it finds me, love always turned me around and makes me feel new. I hope you find the same too. Best of luck :)
Look you guys didn't have anywhere for me to put my questione. I need help though, I am going on like a week trip to Australia in November to meet up with a guy, and I really like him. Probable is, I don't want to come back. I seriously don't. Does anyone know what kind of paper work I'll have to do? Or how hard it is to find a job out that way? I'm going to Melbourne by the way. I just really need some advice. : ( I can never help myself.
Honestly, I don't think this is the best decision. By the sounds of your question, i'm assuming you have yet to meet this guy in the flesh, no? Dealing with one at a distance and then being with them in person can be a world of difference. It can be a good thing or a bad thing. It's hard to tell. Plus this is a place you've never been to before and you don't know too much about the place. Moving from one end of the US to another is a big adjustment in itself, moving to another country? It can't be that easy. Plus if you want to work there you have to look into the potential option of work visas. You also have to deal with the thought of leaving your families and friends. Flight to Australia and back to the US aren't cheap.
I have a friend that lives in Finland and has a boyfriend in Peru. They've been together for 2 years now and how they've dealt with it so far is taking extended trips first. Maybe you should plan for a longer trip there in the future (maybe a few weeks to a month?) Then have him save up and come to stay out here for a few weeks to a month? I think it's only fair that he tries to make an effort to come see you too.
If you act on impulse and go the whole 9 yards in moving there your first trip, you don't have a backup plan. What if things don't work out? What if you totally regret your decision? If it completely falls apart, you're stuck in a foreign land with no family or friends nearby. I know it's a worse case scenario, but you have to look at every option!
I know how hard long distance relationships are. But, you have to nurture these things and work at it and not jump at things. Take the trip, see how it goes, and then make plans after based on that. Just don't jump the gun on things.

i need to get all 2000 of the songs on my ipod back onto my computer (for free) but any program i get to either only does 1000 songs or costs money... helpppppp
You didn't specify if you're on a Mac or PC, but if you own a Mac, there is a program I use called iPodDisk. When you install it and plug in your iPod, it recognizes your iPod as if it were a normal hard drive and has it organized in folders by artist. Then you can just drag and drop it to your computer.
I haven't tried it with a PC, so i'm not as familiar with the programs. I'm sure there's gotta be a free one out there. Again though, I don't know if you've got a PC or a Mac. If you have a Mac, you can get iPodDisk here:

I dont believe in god but i am beginning to believe in angels sometimes i feel something around me and it feels like something good. Can anyone explain this to me. I feel completly alone and then all of the sudden I feel something good there with me. Please give me personal opinions about what i am feeling.
Perhaps you are Agnostic. You feel and believe in the idea of a greater power (whether it be God or Angels). Maybe you don't agree with a lot of the teachings and ideals of organized religion. But you're still allowed to believe in a greater energy without tying yourself down to one set order of beliefs. Definitely take this feeling in and be happy, especially if it's ealing for your mind and soul :)
My son is 5 years and i'm trying to get topics to teach him. He goes to school but i also want to help him out a bit more.
I've been looking for 5 year old curriculums but they're aren't any specific things i should do.
recite the alphabet and recognise letter
count till 12 perfectly and recognise numbers
count to 20 missing some numbers
spell 2 or 3 words
what else can i get him to do and remember without pushing him too hard?i don't want to do something that he will forget or have alot of difficulties with.

Find some educational games that will make learning things like counting, numbers, and spelling fun or maybe some DVDs especially of shows like Seasame Street. Just make sure the emphasis is on learning basic skills. Then of course there's things like flashcards and toys.
Just expose him to fun educational materials so at a young age he can make that connection that learning things doesn't have to be so mundane. Keep it simple, don't make him watch hours of Sesame Street in one sitting, and he'll move along just fine i'm sure.

What's with the rush to grow up? You're 13. Have fun being a kid! No one should be having sex at 13 and if you have friends or know people that do it doesn't mean you have to as well. There's a lot of emotional baggage that comes with sex and someone at 13 is not prepared for it or at least shouldn't be going through that.
Give yourself more time to mature into things and wait it out a few more years or so or else you'll end up in a horrible situation you can't get out of (i.e. pregnancy or sexually transmitted diseases). Learn to appreciate the simple aspects of dating (getting to know boys, hanging out, taking part in interests you share, watching movies, etc).
Like I said, having sex this soon only sets you up for trouble and you will without a doubt regret it later in life. Stick with masturbation if you're that curious. It's harmless. but don't allow yourself to get pressured into sex. Please.

Surveys and studies have shown that 5-6 inches is "average" for men. But, don't let that really be a factor to you. I'm guessing you want to know where you can find it online, right? I'm not quite sure if you're familiar with using BitTorrent to download things online. If you are, http://www.isohunt.com is a good place to go and just search there for "photoshop mac" and it'll give you many results. Photoshop CS3 is the latest version, I believe.
When you get a program like this offline, there are a couple extra things you need to do after you install it for it to be fully functional (input serial numbers, etc) and tools to help you with that should be included with the download.
If you've never used BitTorrent before, you should look up a tutorial on how it works. It's real easy, honestly and you can find almost anything you want.

This article is about how i feel on my mom and her textmate, almost in a relatioship. I am from the philippines, and i am 14 years old. August 21. 2006, my dad died because of Asthma. It was the most terrible thing in my life. I amost cannot sleep because of loosing the best person in my and my family's life. It was a very tragic moment.
And now, all i want to say, is that my mom has this textmate, and she is really, really secretive about it. They really just started out as friends, but now i can hear them saying stuff like "i love you" and that guy is saying like "thiking of you, not just today, but always." It really hurts my feelings, and it hurts so much because i know that my dad is the best dad there ever is to me. He never did anything mean or offensive to me. He doesn't freak out when i fail in my math grades. And now, my mom is just going to replace him with some law manager with my dad? Do you realize just how much that hurts? Especially when my da has done everything special and everything that he always dreamed of wanting - not only for himself, but for the entire family. He never got mad at me, and he is always in my side when it comes to disputes between me and my mom. But that doesn't matter, beause it really hurts when you lost a very great person in your life, and no you mke it worse by ot even metioning hi name anyore, or worse, even replacing hi which you know can be my father physically, but not my father, angel & best friend at the same time.
I have inherited a thousand stuff from my real father - my attitude, and my appearance. I look nothing like my mom except for my teeth, skin tone and my hair length. My mom considers all of these traits and apperances i have inherited from my fathr as negative ad non-important things. I am not forcing her that she should praise it, but at least just give importance to it, because it is my dad's trait, and it is the only thing that gives a last reminder on the greatet person in my family's lives. But when it comes to her text mate's characteristics, it is her 24-7 topic. "he is 5'11 feet tall! he's from london! he has green eyes! he has brown hair! he's a lawyer! he works in birmingham!" that is what my mom will never stop saying, which is rather annoying because she never gives importance to my real dad anymore.
If only you were in my house, it will really drive you nuts. For example, i wake up in the morning. I get out of my room and go visit my mom. When i visit my mom in her room, i just see he lying down, texting with her celphone. She didn't notice me. First of all, sorry about the loss of your father. I lost mine too in August of 2006 (coincidentally, i'm also Filipino!).
Where your mom is coming from: It's been almost 3 years since she lost her husband/your father. She loved him as much as you and went through a lot with him i'm sure. But, in situations like this, somehow, you have to move on eventually. She probably does not want to keep on going through life alone, especially raising you on her own. I don't think she is out to replace your father and forget about him, but more of her finding feelings she had thought she lost and would never feel again. Try to see it from her perspective and how it's been for her.
She is doing one thing wrong and that seems to be that she's making you feel neglected talking about this guy all the time and making you feel like you, her daughter of 14 years, is now of less significance. She's acting like a silly teenager, which is what she shouldn't be doing. Maybe you should sit down with her and talk. Tell her that you're happy that she's been so happy and excited as of late, but she talks about it so much that it makes you feel left out or pushed aside. You're still having trouble dealing with your father's lost and that you feel like you're being overshadowed by this guy thousands of miles away.
Do you two spend a lot of time together. Maybe you can ask if she could do that more. Have her make the effort to make time for you as she does for him. Maybe then you can find common ground.
Also, you never know, she might talk about you to him. If not, she should too. If he's a nice guy, i'm sure he will also want to get to know you and want your acceptance.
I think just #1 is talk to your mom. Tell her how you feel. Try to find a way for both of you to spend time. You're still young and in a situation you two have been in with the loss of your father/her husband, it should bring you closer.

I have three beauty marks on my face, like an inch under my eye. They REALLY bother me..ugh. I'm really self conscious about them and they just mess up the symmetry of my face. But the thing is, they're not just regular beauty marks. They're more like moles but very small because I can actually feel them, they pop out sort of. So could I use that Freeze-Off stuff at the pharmacy to get rid of them? Or do I need to get them laser removed by a dermatologist? Help!!
I've dealt with beauty marks and various blemishes that have bothered me (and still do at times). I've tried various ways and they're usually not very comfortable. I think your best bet is to get them laser removed if you really don't like them. Sit down and talk to your parents about it. Since it's only 3 small marks, maybe it won't cost so much.
To be honest though, you probably notice them the most more so than anybody. We all have our own little imperfections that are clear as day to us that most likely go unnoticed by everyone else. So, until you do take care of them, if you do, try not to let it get to you too much. Another thing is since you're so young, sometimes these marks tend to go away on their own. That might happen too.
Either way, best of luck with whichever path you go decide to choose. Again, I wouldn't try any risky at home methods though.

I am a female college student, and I've been keeping my hair long because I am majoring in theatre, and I assume it's the best thing for acting in plays. However, I've always loved having my hair short. It's the most flattering way I could wear my hair, and I love that it's easier to fix. Plus my hair is really frizzy, so when it's long it's really tough to manage. It isn't as if I want to be a professional actor, but I might want to go to grad school in the future for a master's degree. I'm a junior right now. As superficial as it sounds, I feel like cute short haircuts are like a signature for me and I feel like a part of my personality is missing. On the other hand, I like the versatility that long hair gives me as far as acting goes. Should I cut my hair?
You should go with what you think works best for you. I think you should go ahead and cut your hair short if you want. As far as being an actress, if you have the talent, then that'll matter more. There are many actresses that use extensions or wigs for roles and such. I dunno why they wouldn't be able to do the same for you.

My ex and I have been broken up for several months. We don't talk at all and go to the same college. I don't see him daily, but we'll cross paths ocassionally and I do know his schedule. Some days I will change my route or come early/late just so he will see me and possibly say something. It's ridiculous that I still do this when the relationship has been over for awhile. I even ask myself "what are you doing?" while I'm waiting for him, but he still gives me those butterflies. How do I get over this? Time has not helped and my friends and family are way beyond tired of hearing about it.
I'm not sure why you two broke up, but you're probably still in love with the idea of the relationship with him, instead of him as a whole. You remember the good times, the sweet things, and all the romantic stuff. But fact of the matter is, there's more to a relationship than that and for some reason it didn't work out. You miss the good things and that's understandable, don't let yourself drown in those memories.
Try to make new friends, meet new guys, even if it's not to date and just as friends, get your mind onto new things. Maybe take up a hobby or something. Find a new interest to fulfill that urge for that warm, fuzzy feeling inside. In time, you'll learn to appreciate and love something or someone new. Also, whenever you get thinking about those good times with your ex, just start thinking about the sour times. Definitely do not lose focus of that.
It's a tough period to go through, but you'll pull through. We've all been through it.

I am sinking fast with all my credit card bills, bankrupcy is not an option. I have been asking around, and looking for a company that is completely legit in regards to debt reduction and re-negotiation. However, as of now I am still making the payments on time and have good credit. But as my savings is depleted, I can't keep that up. I have heard that going through a company like this will leave a bad mark on ones credit score, almost the same as bankrupcy. Does anyone have experience with this? and if so please share.
If you have good credit, have you considered taking a loan from your bank? At least it's a trustworthy institution, they know you well, your standing is good with them, so they might be able to give you enough to cover a good amount of your debt. Ask them too how it will affect your credit. But, as long as you give more than the minimum payment every month, you might be good. I've considered the same thing lately after having my own debt issues.

It's when companies recruit a bunch of people to try or discuss a product (this ranges from taste testing sodas and drinks to video game testing to just sitting in a room talking about specific cars) and give opinions. It helps the companies get a better idea of what people think of their product.
These meetings range from 1-4 hours depending on the task. Sometimes you might have to do it a couple days in a row. Then at the end of it, they'll pay you.
I've done focus groups on video games and energy drinks from my experience. They're fun and easy money.
To get a better idea, you should check out FindFocusGroups.com and look at their focus group ads. They have it organized by city and state. I check it pretty much every day.
