My name is Angel, and I'm from northern California. I come from a large family where I'm the oldest, and I've lived a long, strange life. I have just about seen it all. In the last couple years, I have kicked a bad drug/alcohol addiction, and I can proudly say that I'm a sober teenage girl. I have a job, I'm a nanny/family assistant, whatever you want to call it. I'm a senior in high school, and I'm genuinely happy. I have a boyfriend, and we've been together for almost a year now. I have a lot of good advice, because I have a lot of life experience. I come from a broken family, I have step-relatives, and half-relatives. I just reunited with my mother after 10 years. My sister is a drug addict of the worst possible kind. I've been in all types of relationships. I guess it's safe to say that I know a little bit about a lot of things, and there's a lot that I know a lot about. i dont know what has been wrong with me lately. whenever im at school, i dont wanna hang out with my friends because i feel like they are leaving me out of things & i feel like im going to cry. can you help me with this?

I thought I had this same problem, if you think that way, you'll feel like you're excluded more and more. What I did was kind of get together with my friends and basically tell them that we don't spend enough time together... Then we started doing a dinner at someone's house every other week. If they're not inviting you or including you in their plans, make plans and include them. As far as school goes, try to be social with everyone in your group rather than just chatting it up with one friend at a time. Ok here's how it roles, i need to know some good workouts for Pecs, back, and abs. any help greatly aprreciated

For your Pectorials, do the pectorial press, some pushups are good, and the bench press. For your back, try lat pull downs, make sure to lean back a little and pull the bar down in front of you. Another back exercise I like is a little complicated, but I'll try to explain. Get on your knees, and have a big yoga ball in front of you, put your chest on the ball and reach your arms out like superman, with your thumbs up. Then pull your arms back so your thumbs touch [or almost touch] but keep your thumbs up the whole time. Another thing for back muscles [&&love handles], do that exercise where you're calves are holding you and you have a cushion on your pelvic/lower abdominal region && lower your upper body up and down, almost like you're doing backwards crunches/situps. For your abs, I would reccommend the good old-fashioned situps, and the machine where you put your arms on the cusion while sitting down and push the cushion down like you want to touch your lap. Sounds like you could use some new friends. Anyone who would say something bad about you and not tell you about it to your face is shady and unworthy of any friendship. Don't talk to her, let her know you found out she was saying bad things about you, and if she asks what those bad things are turn it around on her. Say something like, "well I'd really like to hear what you said yourself before I go ahead and believe what I heard/think you said." But you really just shouldn't have anything to do with this b*tch [excuse my language]. Hope I helped. -Angel

I don't have really bad acne or anything but its at the point wear my normal cleaser isn't doing anything and my acne is just getting worse. I use right now the neutrogena Clear pore cleanser/mask and then the on-the-spot acne stuff but it hasn't been helping at all i have been using for a long time too. I want to try pro-active, do u think it will help? Is there something else thats better?? o and i also have this really anyoing problem, like i will wash my face in the moring and by lunch time its all oily and gross and help with that? thanks a bunch!!

I also have oily skin and use neutrogena products. They seem to work for me, but I don't have acne. Proactive works really well if nothing else will. As for your oily face problem, you could try to wear a loose powder on your face, I would reccommend bare minerals. To avoid having really bad breakouts, you should try to stay away from super fatty greasy foods, and caffeine. You could be breaking out from stress, so you might want to get that under control. Sorry I couldn't answer fast, but there could be a time difference involved. As far as making out, I know my boyfriend loves it when I suck on his bottom lip, or tongue, while were kissing. I personally hate it when guys move their tongue around too fast, or when they're too messy. So just go with the flow, it should really just come naturally, because being a good kisser isn't hard. Don't try to eat their face, and don't act like you don't know what you're doing or feel uncomfortable. Also, make sure you're both in a comfortable position and not try not to cover his nose so he can't breathe. Try to use your hands too, I like to grab my boyfriend's hair or make things hot and grab his face =] You should be fine. Good luck. -Angel

Ask your hairdresser about it, bring those pictures if you want. I did my bangs myself and just kind of looked at a picture and they turned out the way I wanted them. So if you want it done the way you want, I would say do it yourself. As for the poofiness of the hair && whatnot, I like to wear my hair braided for the day, then take it out later or the next day and curl it with a curling iron, then minimal hairspray and occasional fix-ups. It all depends on your hair and the texture, length, etc.

Just so you know, it isn't absolutely necessary to shave your pubic hair at all. If I were to say that it was appropriate at any time, I would say either when you're wearing a bikini, or if you're sexually active. So if neither of those situations apply to you, then I would say you're not technically "supposed to" shave your pubic hair.

well i have been dating my boyfriend for quite a whilue now and we have been doing stuff but not sex dont worry but i gave him head the other day and he ejaculated in my mouth and it was a lot i am 16 but in health they said not more than a tablespoon and it seemed like much more and i ended up swallowing some but it tasted so horrible and it was like foamy yellowish my throat kind of hurt in the morning . . . is that normal should we get tested to be safe?

Yeah, it would be weird for there to be a lot of semen after he ejaculated, but that's not to say it isn't normal. Your throat probably hurt from the semen, which is weird but not unusual, it all depends on your boyfriend's diet. And yes, you should always get tested to be safe, but I'm not necessarily saying that it's absolutely necessary.

hey this is embarasing to say (and i'm not sure if it's normal) but i got hair everywhere on my body. Not jsut where girl grow hair when they get puberty but on my face like the cheeks, my back, my whole front, everywhere and it seems kinda nasty and wrong because i htought only boys have hair everywhere but sometimes i'm confused of my sexuality because i'm pretty sure girls don't grow hair everywhere like me. I'm practically a monkey now! which products should I use to get rid of hair in certain areas? i shaved my public hairs but it's always red now and irrating. i heard about people putting hair removing cream (whatever that is) but I don't know if it can rip or wreck my skin of I wax since the skin there is sensitive and delicate

Hair removal cream is effective and inexpensive, you could definitely use that. Otherwise, the only other ways of getting rid of hair would be, shaving, waxing, laser hair removal, etc. To my knowledge, hair removal cream [i.e. Nair] isn't painful or bad for you, I would personally reccommend that if you use it, make sure you have a good body moisturizer. I usually have a clear clomplexion but this morning i woke up and i had a huge pimple right in the middle of my forehead. It feels like it's a knot and it hurts sooo bad! How can I get it not to be sooo swollen and to clear up really fast I have a date tomorrow!

If you put ice on it, the size will go down. If you can't pop it [which you shouldn't] try to at least dry out the pimple with medicated lotion or one of my old fav's- toothpaste. Good luck on your date! -Angel

You have to be confident. Kind of play a role like, "well if you're not attracted to me then you must be the only one." And make sure to flirt with him, but don't over do it, and try to seem available, but make him wonder, be mysterious. Basketball is a really good sport to play if you want to lose weight. Any cardiovascular activity is. As far as losing weight and inches goes, try a low-carb diet with lots of water, and make sure to do some cardio., that is; running, playing basketball, etc. To tone your stomach and lose inches, try to work your way up to 100 crunches a day, 5 reps of 20. After following this routine for 3-5 days a week, you should start seeing results in a few weeks. Good luck, hope I helped. -Angel

I have had a cold for the last few days so I have been taking Robitussin. And yes, I have been taking it as directed...every 4-6 hours.

Should I worry if my urine smells like Robitussin??? It sounds weird, I know, but my urine, even my underwear smells like Robitussin! It's very strong.





Don't be worried, but make sure to drink lots of water. If you had eaten a lot of garlic bread your urine would smell like garlic, as well as your sweat, etc. You just need more water. Hope I helped. -Angel

There is some truth to the rumor. Drinking lots of water helps define muscle, and it's a great substitute for soda and juice, which might have to do with the losing weight part, if you drink less juice, you would lose more weight. That's as much truth behind that rumor as there is. By simply doing that, you could maybe see results after a few weeks, but your weight may or may not change, if it changes, it won't be more than a few pounds. Healthy low-carb diets, and lots of cardiovascular activities are the best way to lose weight. -Angel

im onbly 10.... and i have been threwe so much! my dad used to beat the hell outta ma mom and now..... sice that. my mom gave him a nother chancee bac in 03 and he came to live wit us in our 2 bed room appartment... my dads had drug issuees and he left about a year ;later to move to WV .... we later moved bac in wit him in wv and he still continued to beat my mom..... she called my unclke and he came to get us... we stayed in a motel (a roach motel) and ow we live in the fuuckin ghetto its so hard for me to adjuss to this stuff. and i havent even talked to my dad for about 6mounts now....my brother is depressed.. im confussed and my mom. juss doesnt give a fuck and putss all her stress out on me and my brother..... what can i do to stop all of this maddness? what cn i do to get errything to normal, to get my mom to treat me andm ym brother then same.... times hqave been heard... but ino that wit hope./ erything cn go abc to normal

Like you said, with hope everything can go back to normal. Make the most of your situation, appreciate the close friends you have, don't try to play the hero, because you're only ten years old and you have so much more life ahead of you to play an adult. All you can do is be there for your mom and brother, maybe try to arrange an appointment with a counselor, for counseling or family counseling, anything. Don't blame any of this on your mom, because she does love you and it's hard to be a mom under those conditions, so respect her and love her for who she is, not the decisions she's made. As far as your dad goes, he doesn't seem like a great guy, so maybe you wouldn't want to live with him, but fathers are important, so try to maintain a relationship with him if at all possible. As far as your situation goes, keep your head up, stay out of trouble, and make the most of the good in your life. Take my advice, and good luck. -Angel

How long does weed stay in your system?

Depending on what you do and how you want it out of your system, marijuana can leave your system at a number of different paces. If you want it out of your urinary/blood system, a good 2 weeks of drinking water, cranberry juice, energy drinks, and maybe taking cranberry pills, would do you just fine. If you want it out of your hair follicles, that will take you a good six months. The most it takes to get marijuana out of your system without cranberry juice or niacin is about 4-6 weeks. -Angel

OK, well, I really want to start losing weight, again. Now, when I did it before, I tried pills, fad diets & aerobics. The only thing that really takes the weight off of me are the strength training exersizes. You know, like the machines they have at curves. Not just aerobics alone. So, my problem is... I really can't afford to join a gym right now. So, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of what I could use at home to tone my muscles while I lose the weight? Thanks.

In order to lose weight, you have to make sure that you have a steady low-carbohydrate diet, avoid starches, breads, sugars, rice etc. Also include a cardiovascular exercise before every workout. This should be 10-15 minutes of running, jumping jacks, anything to get your heart going. After that, you want to maybe to some crunches, squats, leg lifts, push-ups, and or any other exercises you want to do. After that, have a little cool down jog, or some jumping jacks for about 5-10 minutes. Do this 3-5 times a week and you could start seeing major results in 2-3 weeks. Good luck. -Angel
