 Well, I know some stuff that has worked for me...really all you have to do is eat right and have like, no candy, and don't have any soft drinks after 6 and drink lots of water, and it is good that you are playing basketball cause it should help.

 I dont know what 135 lbs is but i weigh 6st 8 or 44kg pounds, this is under weight(im 13/f).I had a huge dieting problem - totally starving my self and in a week lost 4pounds.But i found out cutting back helped me lose weight and fill me up.It's really unhealthy to starve yourself - because I did this for many months I still havnt reached puberty yet.To lose weight just exercise , I do dance 7hrs a week.I have puppy fat n my tummy but sit ups help and for my thighs - running and dancing,
 whatever you do dont  starve yourself ok?

 Basketball is a really good sport to play if you want to lose weight. Any cardiovascular activity is. As far as losing weight and inches goes, try a low-carb diet with lots of water, and make sure to do some cardio., that is; running, playing basketball, etc. To tone your stomach and lose inches, try to work your way up to 100 crunches a day, 5 reps of 20.  walking and running are great exercises, make shure to start your day with some fiber too, a bowl of shredded wheat is a lot more helpfull than a bagle when it comes to loosing weight.

 First off, find ways to make this fun!! Maybe try running every day. That's great for you. If you don't have a treadmill, try running around your block every day, and timing yourself. Then, try to cut your time each week or something. This will give you a challenge, so you stay dedicated, and it will also bring up your endurance.
 I'd also reccomend writing down what you ate every day. This will make you think about what you eat. Ask yourself if you would be proud to write down the item you're going to eat. It will teach you to snack responsibly. =)
