we are going to be reading the Merchant of Venice and with our books, they need to be covered. they have to also pertain to the elizabethan era. one example shown in class was velvet with jewels and a ribbon. i want to be completely creative and conjure up a great cover. any ideas? i will give feedback to any help! well that sounds like a fun project, and i'll try to help all i can.
one thing you might think of is that when it was written only the most precious and valuable books were made to look very fancy, and this was just a play by some current playwright, nothing all to valuable. in fact the oldest prints are rather mundane, as seen by this 1600's printing:

so if you were trying to keep it historical that would be a good rout to take it. but if your looking for something fancier you could try maybe leather, many books of the day were bound in that, but it may be unnecessary. they also used a lot of gilding to make their books pretty, as seen here:

so i was thinking one thing you could do very easily is get a normal book cover and a can of gold spray paint, then make a pattern or a template for it and cut it out so you spray only the areas you want and paint it, with maybe a ribbon for a book mark. if you wanted you could stick a costume brooch right in the middle too.

i basically only had 2 friends a week ago. a guyfriend , Bob. and a girl whose a friend, jane. well jane and i go to the same school. bob doesnt go to our school and i usually went to his house every friday to watch movies and hang out. but he and i both really liked eachother. he had asked me out a few times and i turned him down each time. then he asked me out again last monday and we've been going out ever since. but i asked him if we could still be friends even if we are going out. he said yeah, but its not the same. i want it so badly to be the same. but thats impossible. hes always sitting so close and putting his arm around me and we kiss and stuff. and i know thats what your supposed to do with a bf, but i miss what we used to be. im happy with him, but im a changephobic. and that huge of a change for me? i cant take it. he was my best friend and now i only have one friend! can someone gimme some advice on how to either accept things and get used to it? or do you think i should do something else? actually i think you should tell him exactly what you just said, if your afraid moving to fast will hurt your relationship then you need to tell him to cool it for a while, and you need to tell him why.

ugh, yeah, i know how bad hearing your mom having sex is. even worse i had to be the one to ask her in the morning to keep it down because she was keeping people awake. lol
and i'll tell you now its only weird when moms do that, for a normal girl to moan and make noise is a very big turn on for guys. just make sure there's no one in the next room to hear it, other wise it can be very embarrassing.

um, well first of all im pretty sure you mean orgasm, an orgy is when a group of people, say four or five, all have sex. so im betting you meant orgasm. lol
any ways, one way i know is to hold your breath as it happens, but be careful not to hold it to the point where you pass out, also if you practice at it you can use short steady breaths to make it last longer.

all i know is ive been told those things are really bad if you get in a crash. a parking lot mishap could cost you thousands to fix it, the things just crumble.

in school, were learning about what careers we want to persue in the future, like the stuff that were interested in. im really interested in helping animals and helping stop global warming and that kind of stuff.
but...i dont know what career i can go into to do that stuff. can anyone help??

there's always jobs available in animal shelters. if you want to help animals there's no better way than being a veterinarian. even if you cant get all the schooling needed for that their are still a lot of jobs available, at the front desk and assisting behind the scenes. (or both if its a small clinic.

ok so my guyfriend and i like playing games and we usually talk via facebook message so it's a pretty fast response, not as fast as IMing though. so we often play word association games (if i say "apple" what's the first word that comes to mind?") and we have threads of just word after word. and truth or dare becomes hard because we can't think of good questions to ask each other. we've also tried playing would you rather? but that also gets hard because we couldn't think of good ones.
does anyone have any ideas for what kind of game to play with him?
please note, it's only online and we've had awkward situations in the past about us liking each other but now we're DEFINITELY just friends. so no awkward sexual questions please! also please explain how to play the game in case i'm not already aware of the rules (link)

you could always make a story sentence by sentence, its pretty fun, you star by saying one sentence then you alternate each adding a new sentence to the story.
example:
person A: once there was a cat.
person B: his name was oliver.
person A: he liked to eat butter.
person B: because he was fat.
person A: and had no friends.
person B: also he wants to join the army.
that would have been way more fun if i wasn't doing it by myself, but you get the idea.

some of us say we care, but given the opportunity ive never known a guy to turn down sex because a girl has what he considers an "ugly" vagina. personally ive seen a few that may not have been my favorites, but that doesn't mean i didn't like them. doesn't matter if she has labia like floppy dog ears, all vaginas are beautiful in their own way.

basically just kissing, which once you start doing it will be easy to figure out just naturally, and holding each other, but id try and keep hands away from anywhere a bathing suit would be, that would be taking it too fast. still id say wait until your with some one you care about, but failing that just remember to play safe.

yes they are pretty awesome, but just like sex you should wait until your with a guy that you trust and love, its not like a kiss or something, it is a sexual act and you should wait till your old enough to be responsible about it. also just like sex you should make him wear a rubber, i know it sounds silly, but don't pay any attention to what he says about how it will feel better without it, because even tho you'll never get pregnant from it you can still get almost any STD from doing that, up to, and including herpes, hepatitis, syphilis, chlamydia, gonorrhea, HIV and aids.

I am very lost in life right now. I don't know what to do. I have a ex-girlfriend that is pregnant with my second kid and I don't love her. I have been dating another girl for a month now that is 30 years old (shes about 6 years older than me) and I really started to fall for her really bad. But I haven't been honest with her. I just bought my cat a second litterbox and it has a cover and a door flap to get in. her regular box is in the laundry room and we have to open the door for her so she can use it. she will not use this new covered litter pan...i have showed her many times and everytime I put her in there she runs away. i caught her peeing on the carpet. normally she is great with using the pan, but no she is not. I cannot have an uncovered one because of dogs and children. how can i get her to use the new pan? (link)

make sure the box it in the same place, leave the top off for a while so she gets used to it, then put the top on but remove the flap, my cat never understood the flap. later on you can put the flap back and make sure to show her how it woks by holding it up, opening and closing it, after a while she'll likely get the idea.

OK well i have this friend that im really close to. but lately we've been getting into a lot of arguments. And they all have to do with guys. Im gunna hate myself for saying this but shes reaaally overweight. that doesnt matter to me we've been friends forever. I know this might sound self-centered but i think she gets jealous because i get a lot of attention from guys. And recently a waaay OLDER guy has been "interested" in her.(THIS GUY IS 5+ AND SHES 16) She doesnt even know him and shes all in love with him already. I tried talkin to her about it and told her its too soon to like him that much. She said i was jealous and it all blew up in my face. But i dont want him to just sleep with her and forget her. i hate to tell any one to snitch on a friend, but sometimes its just the right answer. tell her parents, they need to know. that guy has no business being with her if shes underage. your friend may hate you for it if she finds out, but its all you can do if you want to be a good friend.

I'm a 16 year old girl. You'd think I'd be responsible by now...but I can't even call and arrange things. I think it's a social phobia or something. But if I were to, lets say, call an office...I wouldn't do it unless I absolutely HAD to ..I wouldn't feel comfortable, I'd start getting extremely anxious...sometimes sweating....and I'd think about that phone call in advance for a long time. When really, if I think about it AFTER...it's just a little phonecall. Well, today..I have to visit an office and give something to a doctor...And I have to do it all by myself. I'm all anxious and scared and I don't know what to do. Is this social anxiety? Whenever I have to make appointments, I get freaked out as well. And talking on the phone isn't my thing at all...

im the same way, on the phone, and talking to people i don't know. i remember the first time i want to the dentist on my own i was freaking out, and i probably wouldn't have done it if my tooth hadn't been killing me.
i would say just don't think about it but i know thats hard, best i can offer is think about what's going to happen. your going to walk in, ask for the doctor, give him whatever it is you need to give him, then leave right? thats all. nothing harder than that, its not like you are being sent to kill him, this is easy stuff.
another thing i found that helped is to try and imagine what other people think about you, because iv found over the yeas that they actually don't. they hardly notice you at all when you talk to them, and will probably forget about you after you leave.

i would still recommend using a rubber, birth control only works about 95% of the time, which are good odds, but thats still a chance to get pregnant, i know, it happened to my brother and his girlfriend. :P

some guys just have high expectations, especially younger guys that may not have had a lot of successful relationships. hes probably expecting you to wait on him hand and foot, and thats not cool.
if you feel your doing right by him then next time he says your not acting like a girlfriend then tell him he can go find someone who will, because your not the problem here and i can bet after a week he'll come crawling back. if not your better off without him, demanding guys aren't worth keeping, life is too short and you deserve better.
