i know this is a long raging battle that's been going on for a long time, but im deciding on which to buy. The most useful answers will obviousely be from people that use either one (you folk :D). Im thinking of buying a laptop, but not sure which one. It'll be used for school work mosly (essays etc) and surfing the internet. any ideas?

If it's mainly for work and internet browsing, I vote a laptop with Windows for the following reasons:
*Cheaper
*Easier to use
*Easy to fix if something goes wrong
To name a few.
I associate macs with the more graphics side of things. Yeah, they may not be vulnerable to viruses like PC's are - but a good anti virus program will cover that.

Friends with benefits is risky. One person usually develops feelings for the other person - resulting in someone getting hurt.

You also need to consider the risk of pregnancy and infections/diseases.

Why don't you keep it for someone special who actually WANTS to be with you.

i didnt call up or show up at work today..i work at mcdonalds and have been there for 9 months and i have ALWAYS shown up to work, except just this once.
what happened was that i got into a really big fight with a family member and so i just went out the door and stayed at a friends house because i just couldnt handle it. and i couldnt get to work today so i just didnt show up ..
i dont know what to say to them when i work in 4 days again! i feel really bad about it because i let the nicest manager down. please help, should i tell then what happened or would they not believe me?

i just got a haircut and its really short. Its like an inch under my ears but i still think its really short. I have heard that guys dont like girls with short hair and im going back to school soon so i dont want to look like a boy. Is it true that guys dont think girls with short hair are hot? Thank you :)

Each guy likes different things.
Some will like short hair, some won't.
If you like it, then who cares. As long as you're comfortable in your own body and confident, that's all you need to be attractive.

17/m. now i like the roll-up shirt with waistcoat look. or the waistcoat with t-shirt underneath. My question: can i wear a smart waistcoat (one made for a suit) with a pair of jeans and a casual shirt/t-shirt? or should i just go an invest in a different type of waistcoat?


This question is rather hard, since I can't see the actual waistcoat itself, but yes, you sure can team a waistcoat up with those.
Infact, I rather like that look.
Why not invest in a different type of waistcoat as well (maybe pin stripes/different colours/different buttons), then you can change whenever you like.
Don't forget you can customize your current waistcoat to give it a different look and feel. :)

Okay, so recently i was at a party and got really drunk. I remember certain parts of the night but a lot of it i have no recollection of. I know i remember hooking up with some guy but I'm scared that we might have had sex, without me knowing/being able to remember. I also remember leaving the party, but barely. I guess I was between an unconscious/conscious state throughout the time.

If you could get ridiculously drunk and in a state where you didn't have a clue what you were doing, you can be mature enough and ask what happened.

There isn't really a way to tell, either.
If it was your first time, you may experience a bit of bleeding/pain afterwards. but still, it's not a sure sign, because some people don;t even have those after effects from their first time.

Listen, just relax. If you aren't calm, it won't help your situation and will just make your vaginal muscles contract.
There's nowhere for a tampon to get lost in your body. So, take a deep breath and have a check to see if you can feel anything. If you do, simply pull it out.
If you can't feel anything and you're still convinced one might be inside you, you may have to take a trip to A+E and let them see to it. Forget thinking it's embarrassing - your health is more important, because if a tampon is left in for a long period of time, you're more likely to contract TSS and left untreated, can be fatal. Not trying to scare you, but it really is important to be 100% safe and sure you aren't leaving tampons inside you. Good luck.

Yes, bleaching your hair first will help you to acheive any colour. but as I've said, it's not recommended you do it more than a few times and you shouldn't do it if your hair is already damaged.

I think the one I used had a Chinese woman on the front and you could see the contrasting colours in her hair from her natural colour and after the dye.

Hey, thanks for your question!
Well, basically, bleach is a load of chemicals. If you only do it a few times, it won't really affect it badly - it will just make it blonde and ready to be dyed whatever colour you want. However, if you bleach your hair alot, you can damage it to the point of your hair falling out and breaking off or becoming dry and brittle.
You can purchase bleach at any store which sells hair dye (or you could do it at a hair salon)

I like anything by Loreal to be honest. If I dye my hair, I automatically go for that brand because I've used it quite a lot. If you want to dye your hair lighter than it is, make sure it says lightener on the front of the box.

i work at a fast food resaurant and im around grease and heat all day and it makes my face super greasy as well. and im starting to break out, is there any product, a cleaser, creme, or anything, i can put on my face before work to prevent breakouts?

*You should start using a face wash for acne if you don't already. It doesn't matter which (Clearasil etc), but keeping clean is a must.
*Between breaks at work, blot your face (you can buy these papers which blot the oils on your face pretty much anywhere, so look around).
*Keep any hair off your face.
*Wash your face with the face wash after work.

Hi im wondering if anyone can help. Ive been on the same pill for two years and have had normal periods, but for the past 3 months my period hasn't been normal. It has been very light and very dark brown in colour and more like discharge than blood, mostly there when I wipe. I have been very bloated especially this month as even when my 'period' has finished my stomach hasn't gone down, even when I wake up in the morning. I have also had headaches almost every day, which I don't nornaly suffer with.
Does anyone have an idea what could be causing this??

Have you ruled out pregnancy? Take a test just to be certain if you're sexually active in any way.
If it's negative, I'm assuming the symptoms could be caused by the pill, or something like stress/a change in your diet/new exercise regime/etc.
Noone here can fully diagnose you, so you should talk to your doctor to pinpoint exactly why it is happening.

I've been friends with this guy since I was in 10th grade. I'm 23 now, so we've been friends for awhile. Recently, I got a phone call from this friend. He said that he was upset and he needed to talk. To make a long story short, he needed to borrow $80 to get himself to and from a funeral that was three hours away. I of course lend him the money.

The problem is, he lied about WHY he needed the money. There was no funeral he was attending. His friend didn't die like he said. He was going to some 3-day camping trip with like 500 other people.

He said he would pay me back on the first of the month and that's fine. But should I approach him about the fact that he lied to get money? Or leave it alone?

Take the money back, don't let him borrow any money again and ask him if he enjoyed his camping trip.
Lying about a friend dying is serious and I wouldn't want my money in their hands again.
If he was your real friend, he'd tell you straight out why he needed the money, not win you over with sympathy.

I've never heard that. Maybe what that means is you have to bleach your hair FIRST, then dye it brown.
but what I did, because my hair was pretty much black, was looked for a hair dye which contained a lightener (loreal does loads - it will say it on the box) and just dyed it normally. and it came out a light brown. There's so many colours to choose from. Just go out and have a look. and if in doubt, ask someone who works there or a stylist - it's their job to help!

Since you only had your first period last summer, yes, it's normal. Periods take a few years to regulate, so if you find yours coming late, early or not at all, don't panic.
There are also other factors for your period stopping, such as stress, a change in your diet - to name a few.
If yours doesn't return in the next few months, it could be worth talking to your doc, just to check everything's running smoothly.

LOL this question reminds me of my hair. I've had that problem for over a year now, because I used to dye my hair lighter.
You have 4 options:
1. Go to a professional
2. Dye it all a darker shade than what you have now
3. Let it all grow out
4. Bleach your hair first and then dye it your natural colour

It will damage your hair to keep dying it, so I don't suggest you do it that often.
Have a look around for root touch up hair kits. I know you can get them where I live, at stores like Boots, but I'm not sure where you are in the world.. so have a look around. You can also go and talk to a hair dresser in your area and they can give you some advice.
If you DO dye your hair again, make sure it's permanent and use shampoo and conditioner which are for colour treated hair.
