okay im 14 and i usually have vaginal discharge a lot. well, just today i had lots of brown stuff come out... is this my first period? i'm very confused, why is it brown? is it my period?

You're probably getting your period. Talk to your mom or older sister about it, and trust me, you'll feel a lot better.

What should if a boy i like says he doesn't like me but other people says he does?

You should talk to him privately, away from everybody else. I'm going to be honest with you: just because other people tell you something, doesn't mean that it's true.


Like I said, talk to him alone and let him know that you want to know how he REALLY feels, and you want to hear it from HIM. Even if it IS true that he doesn't like you, you can still be friends :)

So whenever I make out with my (sorta) boyfriend, I get realli dizzy, and my head starts hurting, like a bad headache.. anyone ever experienced this? what is it? what causes it? what do I do about it?

facts that may have something to do with it
- I wear contacts (kiss with my eyes closed)
- I definitely don't get enough sleep at night
- I guess.. I'm not a really experienced kisser

Make sure you're actually breathing. I haven't ever experiences this, but I remember reading that sometimes people don't really breathe while they make out?


That's about all I can think of that might be causing your problem. But I'm sure things will get better with more experience.

How do you keep a strong mind set in staying healthy? How can I turn away from bad food? Where can I get this will power?

Lately, I've been trying to get healthier, too.


I was either watching Oprah or read somewhere in a magazine this nifty little trick that's really helped me:


Every time I work out, I'll write down how good it makes me feel (usually only one word) on a Post It note, and stick it on my mirror. For example, yesterday I wrote "strong" and stuck it on my mirror. I see them everyday, and they keep me inspired to keep working out. I'd suggest trying this, because like I said, it's helping me.



Another thing you can try, is buying a new dress or pair of jeans (or finding an old pair that used to fit) and telling yourself "I want to wear that and look good in it!" You can hang the clothing in your room, and keep it hung up for inspiration to stay fit and healthy.

Actually, I was watching a show a while back, and they said that drinking through a straw is better for your teeth.


I don't think that drinking from a can is any different than drinking from a glass, though.

I need more volunteer hours. Is there any places that would let a 15 year old volunteer?

Try your local:


- Animal shelters.
- Libraries.
- Daycare centers.


Go in, talk to the boss/owner and explain to them that you need volunteer hours and I'm sure somebody will be able to help you out.


Also, does your school have a tutoring program? I know my school does, and kids tutor other kids after school and get volunteer hours for it a few times a week.

For the last couple of days my friends(girls)are pulling out a notebook and when they do i have to leave. Are they writing in their diary, pushing me away, or doing somthing else? By the way I'm 13(m).

They're probably writing notes to each other. It's probably just personal stuff that they don't want to share with anybody. Don't get too hung up on it.


If it continues, and keeps bothering you, try asking them about it. Make sure to ask them nicely, and stay calm with them. But I'm sure it's not a big deal :)

Ok well i have been dating this guy for 2 months and I'm honestly not feeling it. I don't get to see him much which makes it worse. I just want to be single, but i don't know how to break up with him and try not to hurt him at the same time. So, I really need advice!!

Just be honest with him. Lying to him or staying with him just to avoid breaking his heart will only make him feel worse in the end, trust me.


Let him know that you like him as a person, but you just don't think that being in a relationship with him is going to work out. Be really nice about it, but make sure you tell him how you feel.

That my friend was taking naked pictures of herself. And im superr worried because i had NO idea she would do thiss. but i know because she sent it to a guy, and then the guy sent it to me. Well, there are 2 major options you can go about to solve this problem:


1. Be blunt about it.
2. Be shy about it.


I highly suggest being blunt about it, and either asking him if he's into you too, or simply asking him out yourself. Guys like when girls show confidence, and there's no better way to show you're confident than walking up to a guy and asking him out!


Or, you can go the other route and be shy about it, possibly doing nothing to show him you're interested in him. Sometimes, people who use this method drop subtle hints such as smiling [which is common in girls and doesn't always show you're into a guy] or having a friend ask if he's into you [this only shows that you're too shy to do it yourself]. This option is really kind of stupid, and is used all too much...


As I always say:
Life is WAY too short to not take chances and risks once in a while. Why sit around wondering what could've been, what would've been and what should've been, when you can answer all of those questions and then some by being honest and telling a boy how you really feel about him?

I was wondering if anyone knew of any fun interesting clothing stores. I like stores like Heritage 1981, Delia's, the way clothes were at Forever 21 before it became kinda trashy, Anthropologie, Lucky, etc. Any help would be appreciated. I know the ways to tell if a guy likes you, but how can you tell if a guy doesn't like you and just sees you as a friend? The guy I like is showing a lot of signs, but certain ones he doesn't, so it's really hard to tell and I'm just not good at this type of thing at all.

I'm going to give you a list of what guys tend to do when they like girls:

1. They don't call you "sexy". They call you "beautiful", "gorgeous", "amazing", etc.

2. They make an effort to hug you. They might high-5 instead, but it really depends on the guy in question.

3. They DO find any reason to touch you in some way. Mostly it ISN'T in a sexual way. Its more of just an excuse to remember what you feel like, I guess. Its hard to explain...

4. He is always smiling around you. If you're feeling bad and he's around- he'll be smiling because he knows that he's there to help you- and that's like brownie points for a guy if they can help a girl out. That, like the above, is hard to explain.

5. He'll tell you things about himself that he normally wouldn't tell everyone. He opens up to you. Guys don't get a chance to do that when pressured to "be manly".

6. If you have a feeling that a guy likes you- you're probably right. Guys aren't the best at hiding it- and girls are even better at figuring these type of things out.

If you like this guy- and he does all or most of those things- my best bet is that he does like you. That means one and only one thing: Ask him to make sure, and then try the relationship out. Who knows- it could be great!

I'm going to start off by saying this: if a girl smiles A LOT when she's around you, she probably likes you as more than a friend.


The Top 5 other things to look for:
1. She laughs at your jokes.
- No matter how many times she's heard them, or how totally lame they are, she'll laugh at them. End of story.


2. She touches you (not sexually, get your head outta the gutter!)
- She plays with your hair, or fixes your shirt or something. Maybe she even holds your hand, that's a pretty good sign that she likes you.


3. She includes you in things.
- She talks to you even when she's with her friends. She makes an effort to include you, like by asking you things. Even lame questions like, 'What color should I paint my nails?' might be her way of trying to include you.


4. She makes an effort to talk to you/see you.
- She texts you just to say hello, she's late to class just because she wanted to hug you good bye, or she calls you just to see what you're doing.


5. She trusts you, and talks to you seriously.
- She tells you things that she might not normally tell others. Like, if she's in a bad mood and tells others she's fine, she'll actually tell you that she failed that geometry test, or her friends aren't including her lately. She opens up to you and isn't afraid to be herself.
