okay im 14 and i usually have vaginal discharge a lot. well, just today i had lots of brown stuff come out... is this my first period? i'm very confused, why is it brown? is it my period?

It's probably your period if you still have it today. I'm not sure why it's brown, but i know the first time i got mine it was brown and i was so confused.
Tell someone and let them show you how to use a pad and stuff. It's better to get someone to teach you than learning from online.

You're probably getting your period. Talk to your mom or older sister about it, and trust me, you'll feel a lot better.

sometimes when im about to start my cycle, its a little brown at first. usually a day or so after the brown stuff, comes the blood.
thats just me, though. its different for everyone. sometimes it depends on what you eat.
there is a screening home test from vagisil. you can find it at a drug store. im not sure how it works, but i think you put a stick up your vagina for a few minutes, and then the stick turns a certain colour. you match the colour to a colour code that comes with the test. it'll tell you if you have an infection or if its just regular discharge. or, pre-period discharge.
