ok, here i go. first off, i am 14/f. i am very athletic. i have a sweating problem, too. i have athletics first period at school with no time to take a shower...barely enough time to get redressed so i don't have much time to cool down from practice. sometimes when i get home from school i will have sweat stains on the armpit part of my shirt. i need some SERIOUS help on what i can do to help prevent this. sometimes i even sweat through two t-shirts after a hard practice. i usually wear a jacket so no one can see but i am getting tired of jackets and when i get hot i can't take it off. please help me! i'll rate! thanks in advance!
This was once a big problem for me also, so I know how you feel; I've been there, and it's not good. I reccommend using an antiperspirant deodorant [such as Suave], followed by regular baby powder. The antiperspirant helps to reduce sweating, or at least is said to, but in our case... never does. Then the baby powder will close the pores of your under arm -- more or less trapping the sweat in, so to speak. Honestly, this almost ALWAYS works for me, but there *ARE* days when it's simply not good enough, and that can be a pain in the butt, so I usually make a point of carrying some sort of jacket. Hearing that, there's this product people are always talking about on this site [but I believe that's from "Monkey See, Monkey Do"], but it's even advertised on television. It's called CertainDri. Now, they say it can be purchased at Wal-greens, RiteAid, CVS, and Walmart, however, EVERY SINGLE TIME I've been to the store looking for it, I've never seen it on the shelves. Naturally, this leads me to ask an employee where I can find it, and they *always* tell me they've NEVER heard of it, and they do not carry the product... which just leaves you speechless and with a feeling of, 'what now?' If the problem persists, perhaps you should consult a physician, who can supply you with proper medication. Also, he can give you shots that kind of close up your pores, so sweating never really happens again. I'm not shore if that's an option for you, but I recommend asking him for more information. But whatever you decide to do, goodluck from someone who knows EXACTLY what you're going through!!

You have many options here: It's well known that regular physical activity helps reduce the cramping in some women, so there's an idea. You could also try taking a warm bath and using aromatherapy. Applying a heating pad on your lower abdomen or back should do wonders. If you don't have a heating pad, you can make one by simply filling a sock with rice and heating it in the microwave for a few minutes [must sound silly, but if the cramps get bad enough, it just might be worth it]. Also, many women start taking pills around the clock from the time their cycle starts, until it ends. Getting them done in what way? I've never waxed my eye brows, but my friends have told me it's actually not bad, or they don't feel much of a thing. I pluck mine, though. And yes, it will hurt the first couple of times, but after a while you will damage the nerve and you won't feel anything anymore. Trust me, I have "line" brows, and I pluck for fun!!! I'm really a "religous tweezer"! :D

This may not be what you're wanting to hear, but you just have to deal with it for the time being. Just keep plucking. Trust me, I have the thinest eye brows imaginable, so I know all about it. It may seem like a hassle now, but it won't be that way forever. After so many times of yanking the hair from your body you will kill the root of the hair. Meaning, that strand of hair simply will not grow back. Sometimes never, and sometimes it could take months. Again, this might be a bit of an annoyance now, but do it for a while, and never really have to deal with it again. Sounds great, doesn't it? I think it's awesome! Beats paying to get them waxed for the rest of your life! (=
