Question Posted Sunday January 15 2006, 6:01 pm

Hi. If a person has sex and then gets her period a day or less afterwards, does it mean she can't be pregnant? A friend of mine is really freaked out right now, and I'm trying to calm her down by telling her that she can't be pregnant. Thanks.

If you have your period, you can't be pregnant. Tell your friend everything is fine .. no big deal.

Very rarely does a woman have her period when she's pregnant. There is the slightest chance that she is pregnant, but it's really not likely.

most likely but not always.. some people get their period while they are preggo the whole time. although it is rare you can have extremely light periods or just bleeding from pregnancy.. there is a like 98% chance she isnt pregnant but it is always possible.
