Hey, here is my problem, I want to go to a pretty "high up there" college, meaning the price is really "high up there" too. I am going into my senior year, and I am about to start the application process. I am most definitely filing for financial aid (as will every other college bound senior in the country)... I have also created an account at Fastweb.com to get scholarship information. My question is this: Does anyone else know of any other sites or places/books that I can find scholarships? Thank you all.

Have you gone to your guidance counselor at your school? My highschool had a big book of local scholarships to apply for. It made the chances of you getting one much easier than the websites that are nation wide. I was a member with all those sites when I graduated and I never got one scholarship with them, but I did through my school.

How come i give soo many people good advice and i get rated all like 5s and 4s but no one asks me for advice..i never have anything in my inbox..if you want good advice come to me..How come no one is doing that?

Most people that ask questions want lots of answers, so they ask a public question. If they ask the question to just you, they may get a good answer, buy still it's only one.

i used to drink alot and i mean alot of pop and now im stopping to lose weight but lately ive been getting really bad headaches my mom said its because of the lack of caffine are there any other

Caffine is not good for you, so I can't think of a healthy way of consuming it. Your headaches should be gone in a week or so. For now just take some ibprofin or advil.

okay, i am a 17 yr old girl, and i have only ever ahd oen alcoholic drink in my life. Mike's Hard Lemonade . but ever sicne i had it, i have wanted more like all the time. and i have wnated to try many other types of alcoholic drinks. i have never been drunk or high in my life, but i really wnat to at least once. is that a bad thign and when are you supossed to draw the line and say "i've had enough" and when does that turn into an addiction?

Well I wouldn't call it an addiction if you have only had one drink. And Mike's Hard Lemonade is hardly a drink at that. I am sure you just want to drink because you are curious, and becuase you are under age, it makes it more exciting.

Most people have been drunk at least once in their life, and find out it's not fun. So when you are old enough go for it, get drunk and find out what you really think of driking.

hi i got my carltidge peirced like a little over a month ago and its kinda sore and theres a bump over the hole. is that normal?

Well if you don't have a stud in your ear, the hole is trying to heal. You have to keep your earring in for quite sometime before you can take it out.

My best friend had her cartilage peirced, and 2 weeks later, the earring was gone, she had assumed it fell out. A day later it was really sore and there was a bump. She went to the doctor and found out the skin had grown over the earring. Her body wouldn't accept the foriegn object. She had to have it sugicaly removed, and she can't have earrings now. So watch out!

ok so i got those glasses with the plastic frames last year cuz i liked them (at the time). they r blue with sparkles. i got them from da adult section cuz they werent in the kids section. at the time i didnt realize that they were too big for my small face soo i never wear em anymore. im afraid people will make fun of me, so i dont risk it. im only supposed to wear them at school and at home watching tv or sumthin anyway but sometimes i feel like i cant see anything without it being blurry. i dont want to wear the glasses at school cuz they look bad on me but i need to c the board. last year i got bad grades cuz i couldnt see anything. please dont nag me for getting the glasses in the first place, i cant fix that now. its already been done. please, i dont want to wear them cuz i made fun of enough but i need to see. what should i do?

Have you ever thought about contacts? Otherwise you can buy a new pair of frames for pretty cheap. You can get frames at Walmart for like $29.99. I am 23, but have a small face, so I still get my frames from the kid section.

Okay I am seriously about to go crazy! I posted a question about my moms b/f being a jerk before so this kind of continous sort of. But My moms b/f is name dale and he has a 13 yr old son. well his son and friend went to this club for 13-20 yr olds and i felt like sleeping in the basement tonight. I wake up at 2am and find these 2 chicks sleeping in my room! He let his son bring in 2 girls from the club! im about to go nuts cuz i dunno what they are going through in my room! Dale is only doing this cuz he knows im pissed! im freaking 16 yrs old and i have no say about who can sleep in my own freaking room! Do you think im overreacting

I would talk to your mother about how her boyfriend and his son are completely disrepecting you and your home. There is absolutely no reason strange girls should be sleeping in your home, much less your bedroom. I am sure it is hard enough already to share your home with the boyfriend and son. Your mother should be the one to deal with this. She needs to set some boundries for the new men living in your home, otherwise they will contiune to do as they please. I hope your mother agrees with you.

Just count your calories. However many you consume usually, cut it down by at least 500. And by writing down what you eat, you are heald accountable for it. I put myself on a 1400 calorie diet, and so far I have lost 10 lbs. in 6 weeks.

iv been rated like 46 times and it only says 37 and yesterday it said 38 whats up with that?

It only counts the last 30 days. So if it is an old rating, it won't count anymore.

Is there any way to change the ratings other people have given you? Is there someone I can ask? Some of my ratings are SO unfair, ex:
- A person asked if Dickies would still be in style by the middle of the year. I said yes and also gave them a link for a new style of Dickies dresses. Turns out it was a guy, but how was I supposed to know?
- Instead of giving someone a long list of picture websites, I gave them my one favorite.
- Someone put "my head hurts!", don't know how THAT didn't get deleted but anyways, I made a joke about it and they rated me 1. Wish I could rate them back.

Thanks for reading my dumb question. :) Has this happened to anyone? It really annoys me and wrecks my feedback.

Try not to take ratings so seriously. If people see you have a poor rating, they can look at the answer you gave, and see that it was unfair. Or you could always delete your answer. If you answer stupid questions, don't be suprized to get a stupid reply.
Yes level 2 moderators can change ratings, but we rarely do.

how come ppl can delete their questions.. itz not fair.. i mean u take tha time 2 answer them and they will no longer even show up on ur site, i dont think its fair.. anybody know why thay can do that???

People can not delete the questions they ask. But if the question gets 5 low ratings, it gets deleted and will no longer appear on your column. However, if the person asking the question rated you for answering the question, the rating will still count and will still appear in your ratings.

okay when i first started asking questions on this site they'd send me the answers to my e mail and i'd just click on a link but now lately i have to go to "give advice" and find my question then get the answers and i don't like that because sometimes i miss out on some really good answers because they answer them the next few days..can someone tell me why they don't get sent to my e mail no more? and what to do? please thanks so much!

If you are only 14 I guarantee you are not done growing. Many girls will still be developing even into their 20's. I know I did.

ok this is gonna sound sort of weird but lately i feel like i cant control anything really i cant control my heart or the way i look or the way i feel or any of that but i can control how much i eat im 5'6 going into 8 grade and i weigh 102 pounds and i just want to weigh 98 idk why but 2 me thats how i feel i should look so i just stopped eating basicially i mean its 2 and i havent had anything to eat today ill probally eat a little bit but not alot and i always feel like im getting fatter and stuff i just dont want to look like me anymore... i hate the way i look but idk why i feel like this i have the best boyfriend i could ever ask for great friends great family i guess i just feel like i have to be perfect for everyone and i think thats how everyone wants me to look so thats what im going to do i guess should i weigh less than 98? how much weight should i loose?

You are talking about 4 pounds! Stop stressing yourself so much. Nobody expects you to be perfect, and I am sure nobody wants you to loose weight. There is so much more to life than worring about a few pounds, especialy if you are not even over weight. Life is too short.
