HOW DO I TRANSFER songs from limewire to my mp3 player???

Go to C:\Documents and Settings\(your Windows XP account name)\Shared, and there should be the songs that you downloaded.

If they're not there, go to Limewire, then Tools > Options and you should be able to see where your files are saved.

i heard, from a friend on myspace, that there is a virus spreading on xanga. i dont know if its true or not, but i'd like to know. it could be just myspace people who want more people to be fully myspace people, and no xangas. but im not completely sure. does anyone know?

I think your friend might be talking about the "exodus owned you" thing. You should be fine as long as you have antivirus. There are also viruses on Myspace, like the "potato" thing mentioned on the site news here.

No matter if you use Xanga or Myspace, you should be fine as long as you have antivirus (make sure that it is up to date!) and you don't click links that you aren't sure about.

I'm trying to make my own desktop icons. I can draw them just fine, but how do I save them as icon files?

You need a program that can save .ico files, like IconArt or the GIMP. The GIMP also has a lot of other functions so I would recommend that. You can download IconArt from http://www.lissaexplains.com/fun9.shtml and the GIMP from http://www.gimp.org.

i just got the new 30 GB video ipod and i have no idea what i'm doing i've installed the software and it automatically downloaded my itunes songs onto my ipod but how do i delete uwanted songs?

and if you could give me more helpful hints on where to get videos and music or anything else that would be sooo great thank you!!!

Go to Edit > Preferences > iPod (you need to connect the iPod to change this) > Music (this should be the active tab by default under iPod) > check the box next to "Update checked songs only"

In your library, there should be a checkbox next to the name of each song. Uncheck the ones you don't want on your iPod and update your iPod again.

I just got the Sims 2 for Christmas and i tried installing it today..Everything went smoothly until i tried to play the game...i get this error...

Have you tried updating your graphics card driver?

Right click your desktop, then choose Properties > Settings > Advanced > Adapter > Properties > Driver > Update Driver

okay i make icons. and i hate the fonts sthat my computer comes with. i've tried dafont.com, but you see, i have no clue how to actually GET the fonts onto my computer, not to metion the icon. Can ANYONE explain?? Ill rate honestly, 5's f you help!

If you're downloading from dafont.com, choose the font that you want, and there should be a link on the right that says download. Click it, and there should be a box that asks you whether to open the file or save it. Save it and open it. If you're using Windows XP (unless you have Winzip or something like that, if that's the case, look for a function called "extract" and put the extracted file in C:\Windows\Fonts), it should open in Windows Explorer as if it's a folder, and there should be a file inside with a name "fontname.ttf" (with the name of the font you're downloading). Copy this file to C:\Windows\Fonts and you should be able to use it.

I have to go for my first "girly" check up alone because I am having problems at school and they are being slowly sorted out but my parents know nothign about it but my health is going down. What I want to know is during this check up do they really look at your vagina and boobs and what do they do to them? Also do they do anythign to your bum? I am really embarrest andits happening in a month please give me some advice.

I'm not really sure because I've never had a check up myself. I think they will have to check your vagina and boobs if you're having a gynaecological check up, because that's what that kind of check up is supposed to check, but according to Wikipedia, virgins are not usually examined vaginally.

i downloaded adobe photodelux 3.1 but everytime i try to upload the photos onto myspace, photobucket...or anything like that...it doesnt work b/c it's a PDD file. can someone explain to me what to do?

File > Save as... > Make sure you save it as a JPEG. (Choose from the drop down list under the box where you put the file name)

If you can't choose JPEG in "Save as...", look for an option called "Save a copy..." or "Export" under file and you should be able to do so.

How do you put your itunes playlist (in the itunes format and everything) for other people to be able to access and look at?

In iTunes, go to File > Export Song List and you should be able to create an XML file with all your songs listed. You need to format it so you can read it. Search on Google for XML help if you need it.

my computer totally crashed the other day so i had to delete everything on it, so just now i reinstalled itunes. the problem is that now all my songs are gone, but they're still on my ipod. is it possible to transfer them back to my libary? i have over 300 songs so im scared to experiment. Connect the iPod to your computer. Do NOT open iTunes at this stage or you will lose all your songs. Go to "My Computer" and look for your iPod, and look for a folder called "iPod_Control" inside. All your songs should be there. Copy them onto your computer and add them to your iTunes library. To be safe, disconnect the iPod first before opening iTunes.

If you cannot see the folder, go to Tools > Folder Options > View > choose "Show hidden files and folders".

If you want to resize a picture you need a program. I recommend the GIMP, which you can download at http://gimp.org. You will need to install it. If you can't install anything, use Paint. Just remember to save as the file as PNG if you resize a JPEG, because Paint will not save good quality JPEGs. Also, it will not preserve animation.

For extra credit, I have to submit something into my school newspaper. What should I chose? Poem or short-story? The thing I don't like about poems is I never feel it has that artistic flow that it should. And what should I write about? It can be anything but I need something interesting yet not embarassing or weird.

Look back at anything that you've written in the past. Which format are you more comfortable with? Which one do you tend to get higher grades for? If it's about the same, you can always start writing whichever one you get an idea for first.

As for the idea of what to write, I think if there's anything interesting happening with you and your friends, it can make a good storyline as long as you don't name any names.

Gas problems are more likely to be caused by problems in the intestines rather than the stomach, but either way you should really go to the doctor if the problem persists.

Use a blemish remover that contains salicylic acid.

Toothpaste dries out pimples, but it can actually make you get more pimples because of the fluoride.

It's not as dark as the darkest in the second photo, but that's as dark as I could get it to be without losing all the detail. May be you can try editing it more.

I can't hide the URLs in this question from my column, I'll try to answer more questions so this question will get bumped off the first page. I don't think you can remove your pictures from tinypic.com, but not that many people will see it unless you've tagged it.

I've installed the GIMP and it never asked me to select language. Try unchecking the box next to "translation" when you install it, that might help.

No but you see, the problem is im going from blonde to brunette, so it doesn't work. And it actually wouldn't work the other way around either. Caue you know how reall hear looks? Like you can see the different parts of the hair, and there is usually a slight change of colour. If i take the paintbrush i'll just be colouring it all in to one colour and it doesn't look real at all.all i want to do is take the whole hair, and make it 2 steps darker or something, maybe you told me how to do that but i juts id it wrong? I dont know but this is really important to me. Maybe i could try to send you the pic and you could try to fix it for me? Just this once? The only thing i want to do with thepic is change my hair to darkbrown/almost black instead of blonde..do you have a hotmail/ yahoo i could send it to? Cause i dont have aol. I know that if you just colour it with the paintbrush tool it just becomes one colour and doesn't look real. That's why you need to set the paintbrush tool to "Color" or "Overlay" mode. In these modes, the paintbrush doesn't just add colour.

"Color" makes the photo look kind of like a monochrome of the chosen colour, the actual details will be preserved, but it becomes a shade of the colour that you used. "Overlay" adds a layer of the colour you used on top of the photo. You can also use the "Burn" tool if you just want to darken.
