Hello. My exams are coming up this week, and my two hardest exams (history and english) are both on thursday!! Can you help me with study techniques and staying calm and alert during the test? thanks-

to study. Write your notes over and over. And read them outloud. That will help you remember. For when you have the test just be calm. Dont rush and dont pnaic. Just think good thoughts and good things will come.

i'm always known as just the "shy one" and i'm really sick of it. im not shy in front of people im comfortable around and people that im frends with, but im shy around big groups of people and just cant get over it!

Well Normaly the reason people are shy is because they are scared of what other people will think about them. So just dont care. Let free and just act like you would if nobodty is watching. Unfortanatly advice cant change how shy you are you have to just do it.

i have layers. but when i put my hair up all of the shorter pieces fall out. if you know what i mean. what can i do to stop this??

im getting a haircut and i wana know if you can understand it and if it's good:

parted to the side, bangs to the end of my ears, hair to like 1 and a half below my shoulders, the very top layer to my shoulders, and another layer in between the two, so i'll have 3 layers.

is this too confusing? and if it is, please rewrite it so it's not confusing.

and, is this a good hairstyle? because if it isn't please tell me how i can change it.

also, i have straight hair, so just imagine this w/ straight hair.

I'm 14 years old and I want to find a summer job. Any suggestions?

There are not many jobs for 14 year olds. The age is normally 15. The only thing i would know of is maybe a job at a summer camp CITing. Im not sure how much it pays or if it is just volenteer, you would have to look around it will be differnt for certain places.

My mom smokes and it really grosses me out because I had the smell of cigarettes. I'm also worried about her health. What should I do?

Talk to her about stopping. Maybe do some research on smoking and how bad it is and show it to her. But if she is gonna quit you have to be there for her alot. It is really hard. Both of my parents smoke and they have both tried to wquit many times but it is hard. Tell her she is effect both of your healths.

Go to the doctor and talk to them about it. Tell them that you are scared about being sick all the time. They should help you out.

I'm thirteen years old and about to go into high school. i got into this really good private school, but its all girls. and i don't live in a city where there are all guy schools, its only co-ed. how can i keep my social life going? should i just forget about the school and put social stuff first? You should think of school before boys. You will still meet new guys. You will make friends who know guys and you can meet them and then those guys will know more guys and it was all be okay. But also reamaber your gonna be in high school. The workis harder you wont have as much time to think about al that. And you deff. sdont wanna slack off in your frreshman year. I pretty much did that htis year and it horrable.

My hands are the same way. Yes its very embarrassing. I dont know of any way to make it stop but maybe try to talk to a doctor or dematoligist.

OK, so i basically wear my hair in a ponytail EVERYDAY. My hair is extremely thick and kinda wavy and it is soooooo fuzzzzzy, a ponytail seems like a managable way to control it. But i am sick of my beloved hair-do and i cant stand to wind another rubberband arounf my precious strands.

The thing is, my hair is O-so fuzzy (none of the serums, conditioners, shampoos or anything work for me) AN my hair is so thick that is kinda sticks out if i wear it down. I need help!!!! Can you give me advice, hairstyles, products or anything to help me excorsice my pony-do?

My hair is EXACTALY the same way. I found that straightening it makes it alot better. If you get a relly good hair straightener (wich might cost a bit money depending on the kind) It should make it less "fuzzy". Also if you get your hair layered when you go to the hair dresser it makes it much less thick.

Like 2 weeks ago we started hanging out with a girl named Natasha and ever since she has been doing all these things. Oh and I already talked to her a billion times. I've decided to have a good sized party at the end of the year, but I stink at knowing exactly who to invite. I mean, I know my best friend and my other really close friends but here are some questions...

Do I invite the guy I like? We are pretty good friends but he's not really part of the group.

Do I invite my friend who only like seven people in our group don't make fun of?

Do I invite this girl I hate but is in my group? If I don't, I feel bad because I'm inviting all of her friends.

Well for the guy you like, if you really want him to go maybe say he could bring one of his friends so he wont be totaly alone. Or just dont invite him at all, unless he is comfortable being with everyone else.

Your friend, yea invite her. Not everyone gets along with everyone. Just tell your other friedns if you dont like her just ignore her, dont make a big scene about it.

The girl you dont like. If she knows you dont like her then she shouldnt be exspecting to go. If you are just pretending to like her to be nice then you dont have to.

Its really all up to you so just do whatever your comfortable with.

About 3 years ago a girl that I thought was a close friend of mine did something quite mean to me. She uninvited me to her sons first birthday party and told me over a nasty email. She claimed that the last time I was over at her appartment I laughed and thought my behavior was "extremely rude". She also told me she didnt' want to be my friend anymore. I was really upset and sent an emailing apologizing (although I wasnt sure what for). She never responded. I was really hurt at first because I had been a good friend to her.
Well that was 3 years ago and I've moved on and have new friends and a new job now.
Yesterday when I was at work in the shoe aisle at the superstore I work in she was walking down the aisle with her son in a cart. I ignored her because I thought she still hated me. I thought she'd ignore me to but she actually said hi to me. I said hi back and she introduced me to her son. Then she asked if I liked my job. I said yes and then she said she'd see me around. But the thing is I don't think she was sincere because she had a scowl on her face when she first started talking to me.
Does anyone have any idea as to what her intentions are? I don't trust her after what she did and am scared to be her friend again. Why would she start being nice to me again after being so mean 3 years ago? If anyone had any advice I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Well maybe she was just being nice. Like she doesnt want to live with never talking to you ever again, but she doesnt want to be in a fight with you if you know what i mean. Maybe you shoud talk to her again just to straighten it all out and then whatever happens, happens.

I always have trouble sleeping. You just have to lay down and clear you mind of everything. Just relax and dont think about sleeping. When you think about tryin to sleep it makes it harder.
