OK, so i basically wear my hair in a ponytail EVERYDAY. My hair is extremely thick and kinda wavy and it is soooooo fuzzzzzy, a ponytail seems like a managable way to control it. But i am sick of my beloved hair-do and i cant stand to wind another rubberband arounf my precious strands.
The thing is, my hair is O-so fuzzy (none of the serums, conditioners, shampoos or anything work for me) AN my hair is so thick that is kinda sticks out if i wear it down. I need help!!!! Can you give me advice, hairstyles, products or anything to help me excorsice my pony-do?

to stop the frizz.
if your washing your hair everynight
you should know thats un-healthy.
that it washes out all the GOOD oils
in your hair, down the drain. and with
out the oils there is nothing to keep the frizz down.
i dont mean have greasy hair. just not every single night.
like every other night.
or every 2 nights. never more than 3 nights
also
use pantine pro V
pro vitamin formula
it says somthing about
3 minutes on the front.
you leave it in for 3 minutes
and wash it out
its like a god!
and it detangles really well also.
and if that doesnt work.
do all the above
plus use a straightner.
conair, ceramic
there really good and cheap.
wallgreens/wallmart.
any of the walls
lol
hope i helped

Vikki27 answered Saturday May 20 2006, 12:49 pm: I have suffered the same way all my life!! I finally discovered GHD's when I was 17 and used them religiously twice weekly for over two years before the damage caused got too much and I had to stop. The straighteners took out the frizz and it looked great for the first time in at least 9 years but I panicked because nothing else worked!
Then I decided to try embracing my curls, rather than trying to flatten them out and bought Wella Shock Waves Curl Shaping Mousse. I partially dry my hair, comb it through so there aren't any knots, add in a lot of the mousse (it doesn't get sticky or crispy so don't worry about that)and finish drying. It was really frizzy to begin with, due to the damage I had caused with the straighteners but now it just looks tousled and I really like it! So give some mousse a try, if you haven't already and if all else fails, just get some REALLY good straighteners! [ Vikki27's advice column | Ask Vikki27 A Question ]
bayhotpinkgurl answered Saturday May 20 2006, 10:47 am: I have the same problem. So your not alone on this one!
What I do is take a shower, then I blow dry my hair, and then I straighten it and it looks great!!!
xoxDaneCookRox answered Friday May 19 2006, 10:30 pm: My hair is EXACTALY the same way. I found that straightening it makes it alot better. If you get a relly good hair straightener (wich might cost a bit money depending on the kind) It should make it less "fuzzy". Also if you get your hair layered when you go to the hair dresser it makes it much less thick.
evlkttn answered Friday May 19 2006, 10:02 pm: yes...my hair is exactly the same...dont feel bad. the best thing to do is to go through different shampoos or whatever. something that i did was straighten my hair. if u do, then don't wet it, otherwise you'll have to do it again, and it takes me 45-60 minutes to do it. i got my hair permanently straightened, so it's a lot easier to deal with now, and i can actually brush it now. good luck and hope i helped!!!! peace!!!
orphans answered Friday May 19 2006, 9:31 pm: well, to keep it from being really frizzy, just use a hair streightener.
and you might wana get a new hair cut. like to make it less thick, layer it. here's a really good hair style: part it to the side, cut your bangs to about the end of your ears, hav about 3 layers, and cut it to about 1 and a half inches below your shoulders, and have the top layer like to your shoulders. this will make your hair look veeeeeeery pretty and make it thinner, and it'll also look good down. even if you put it up in a ponytail, the bangs will be down, so it'll look really pretty. but if you don't want your bangs to get in the way, you can also cut it to the end of your face, to like your chin.
you can put it in a high, medium, or low ponytail, wear it down, put it in a sexy bun, or even wear it in a half ponytail. ther're tons of hairstyles you could use
