Question Posted Saturday May 20 2006, 5:32 am

im not just here for the rating. Wehn you ask a question and you give the honest answer and you answer the question they asked. Why do they rate you a one.? Is there anything to do about them rating you a one when you deserved something like a four or a five?

[ Answer this question ]

Additional info, added Thursday May 18 2006, 4:35 pm:
How do i delete my answer?.

Want to answer more questions in the Technology category?
Maybe give some free advice about: Advicenators?

selectopaque answered Saturday May 20 2006, 10:42 am:
You shouldn't delete your answer if you think you gave good advice, then you should show it to the world, or whatever...

If you report them, then the higher level moderators will change your rating because giving someone a one for good advice is abuse to this site.

NotMeanJustHonest answered Saturday May 20 2006, 9:00 am:
I hate when people do that. I answered this one girl's question accurately and she rated me a one because that's not what she wanted people to tell her. Then I got banned once because I was being "abusive" by telling the girl she was lazy and rude. Basically Advicenators has really started pissing me off, I'm looking for a new advice site, or I'll make my own.

To delete an answer, go to "Edit Answers" on the sidebar and backspace it all out and click EDIT.

No, you can't do anything about it. You just have that 1 sitting in your ranking. You can't demote them or anything like that.

Though you may have deserved a different rating, you won't get it. The best thing to do is move on.

Becuase they're dumb and only want to listen to what they want to hear. They don't want to accept either 1. the truth or 2. your opinion

the people who do that are not looking for an honest answer. they are looking for people who will give them the answer they WANT to hear. When they don't hear that answer they get pissed and rate you a one.

I really think that you dont rate just to rate the answer, but you rate for them to know about how much they have helped you out with your situation.
Also, you cant change a persons rating, but you can delete the rating!
I hope that this helped you at least a little bit!

Sometimes, when people don't hear what they want to hear, they rate you low. I know it's unfair, however don't just tell them what they want. They might rate you low, but at least they read your advice, and some of that will get through their heads, whether they like it or not. Just keep writing the amazing advice you've been giving and you'll be fine. Hope this helps.
-cindy <3

btw You can delete your advice. Just go to edit answers and delete all of that answer.

Some people rate you down if it's not what they want to hear.

To delete your rating, go to Edit answers and delete all of the text from that answer.

Devina answered Thursday May 18 2006, 9:57 pm:
I know that feeling... some people are too depressed to give the advisor a four or five... >.< It's so sad... really... I'm sorry honey... I really wish that everyone would rate four or five to whatever answer others gave them...
At least you've tried your best... *You know, they usually do that because other people give them one... so they just want others to feel their pain... but sometimes, it's just unfair.. especially to some good answers...*
Hope you'll feel better... Don't think about it much... You'll make your rate up again anyway... Just wait, when you've done something nice and people don't appreciate it, you'll get the reward someday...
Wish you the very best luck! ^_^
PS: You can delete it if you want to...

You can delete your answer by going to "Edit Answers" under "Welcome (username)!". When your there, find your question and click "Edit Your Answer", erase ALL the text and press "Edit Answer"....it will automatically delete.

People rate you ones because their mean. Even if you give good advice...they might not like what their hearing or the advice didn't help them a lot.

It sucks, I know. I get frustrated when I get ones.
Like YoungGrandma said, just file an abuse report if they are mean to you.

hey, you could report them or delete your answer. the reason why most people do this is because they feel offended by your honesty. but dont hold back on asnwering just to mkae you get a good rating. take the rating you get and just delete your answer fi you feel that you got a rating that you dont deserve. if they leave a bad/nasty comment with a 1 then report them = ]. cait♥

You can report them, but if that doesn't work, you can delete your answer. The rating will be deleted with it.

If someone gives you an undeserved rating, or leaves nasy comments in your feedback, file an abuse report.

The link for it is [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
and it is in the blue column on the left under misc. Report Abuse.
