im a beginned guitar player and im starting to learn notes right now (i havent even gotten to chords) and i need to kno if anybody has some trix to remembering all where all the chords and notes are and how you can tell which string is which without looking everytime you need to switch strings. thanx

Dear Advicenators,
One and a half years ago my brother *Henry* was diagnosed with hemophilia, which means that his blood does not clot normally. If he gets a cut, it's really hard to stop the bleeding. If he loses too much blood, he could die if the blood is not replenished.

Henry and I always liked to spend time together (he's two years older than me). We'd ride bikes to the park and shoot basketball hoops. He couldn't be too active, but he was my best friend and I felt safe around him.

Anyway, he lost a lot of blood one day, and was taken to the doctor for another blood injection. The horrible part was, that the person who had donated that blood was carrying the AIDS virus. The doctor proclaimed that Henry now had AIDS.

Henry is 15 years old, is in diapers, and must be fed through an IV or a tube. He has about 4 months left to live. My entire family is sad, and angry about it. My parents must monitor him all the time, so I always have to get a ride to my volleyball games. All three of us never have extra time, because we are always there for Henry and when he must be hospitalized. I had to drop out of volleyball for him.

Henry has been the butt of the jokes from the kids at school lately. They make fun of the fact that he has been in diapers. They are unaware of the fact that his brain is slowly being devoured, and he can't feed himself. The AIDS is tearing the whole family apart. But luckily, my friends are there to console me, but I always feel resentment towards the cruel kids at school. Can I please have some suggestions on what to do about that?

Anyway, as I am spending my last Christmas with my brother, I have no idea what present to give to him. Could I please have some ideas? I want it to be special and something he'll remember when he goes to Heaven.

Also, how can I comfort / cheer up my parents? They have been having lots of mood swings lately and have been very stressed.

Any input and prayer would be great. Sorry about the length.

wow. THis story made me cry. I am so sorry. I dont know if my advice will be good enough but ill try.

Well as for dealing with the kids at school. Try letting them know whats really goign on. Maybe then they will shut up and realize how cruel they were.

As for comforting your parents i think i only thing you can do it be ther efor them. Try not to make life worse for them if its possible. I mean you have the right to screw up but i think right now is the time for you to try your hardest at everything. Also i know that being happy... or at least acting happy helps to make them feel better as well.

For the perfect christmas gift... this might seem lame but i would take him to your favorite spots where you guys made your best memories. And remind him of them. You could also make a scrap book.

Ok, i like this guy, let's call him Jim. I flirt with him CONSTENTLY and i think he likes me too. But then i was talking to his friend and he said that Jim raped someone. This is a tough situation. The best thing u can do is tell him that you just dont feel comfortable around him. Dont say anything about the raping or anythjing else. Maybe if you hanged around pther people,. it would take your mind of him, and give you a chance to fall for someone else.

I need some serious advice a.s.a.p.
Me and my boyfriend have been together for 7mths now and we've kissed,held hands, made-out, and hugged and stuff like that. Now hes been touching me everywhere (and i mean everywhere!) whenever we are really closly hugging or holding each other closely when we sit together, it scares me really bad for some reason and my heart starts pounding, also i am a catholic grl and i follow my religion, i am also only a freshman in HS. I talked to my best friend about it (a guy) and he said he would touch his girlfriend like that too, and my other friends let their boyfriends do that too, now im starting to wonder if im too prude, or im not doing the right thing.
So should i let him touch me?

No cuz im in tae kwon do and i went white yellow orange then green.. and ask your mom what the grandmaster belt is.. like what degree of black belt? the one that is which is waaaaaay good and you can only test for that belt twice and if you fail it twice thats it and my master had to go to korea for that.. please!!

Hmm well when i was taking it there was no orange belt. i think it is 20th degree black belt. My mom is a 4th or something liek that.

okay well im only 13 but i think i know plenty on this subject. Yes you have a chance of getting pregent. Lucky for you he ewas pulling while it happened so there wasnt as much of it ... in you. Also even tho your on the pill it isnt 100% safe. I would buy 3 pregnency tests 2 out of 3 should be correct, next time take the morning after pill as well. Hope i helpd a bit

I know this sounds bad but if all comes to its end you can tell your mom that your period has been getting really bad... and horrible pains. And that you know it is abnormal. Then ask her if you can go on the pill to stop the cramps. I know thatis totaly violationg your parents trust but if you have 2... then well.

I was having a conversation with a guy about sex between the same sex, and of course he was very excited to hear about my girlfriends and I open mind in the subject. After I told him about a personal experience, he felt free and conferrable to tell about his with another man. The feeling of disappointment and discuss was automatic, and he asked me to explain why? where is the difference? why was it okay for me, and so wrong for him? I was out of words, there where no explanations, this has never been open for discussion. At this point I think that maybe if I can't be open minded about both ways of same sex relationships then I need to rethink my ideas of two girls together.

i dont know if there is something wrong with me, but i'm 15/f and everday when i get home from school (i'm usually alone for about and hour) i completely pig out on tons of junk food. ie. those little debbie desserts, chips, licorice, etc. the rest of the time i eat normal stuff. i really like salad, and other healthy foods,but i cant stop this binging when i get home. i dont like throw it up or anything. but i have been getting really insecure about how i look. i m not fat, i am 5'6" and 107 lbs. but i don't know what is wrong with me. i am afraid i might get an eating disorder help!!

First of all that is completely normal. When you get hoem from school your tired and hungry right. All you doing is satisfying your hunger. I ususaly eata ton wen i get home... and i am not fat. If you eat healthy later or when yo uget home yo ushould get fat. i mean 5'6 107 lbs is underweight so your fine.

First talk to your boyfriend about this. Tell them that even tho we were using proctection ad you think nothn happened there are still risks. You buy 3 home pregnancy tests and 2 out of 3 should be correct.
