i was just wondering if having a facebook is absolutely pivotal to have an active social life in college. i just have never liked the idea of social networking websites (i hate taking pictures and i think people get too engrossed in the "drama" of it all), and prefer to contact my friends via text message, e-mail, aim, or WOW! over the good ol' phone.

so... will i still be able to go to parties, hang out, whatever if i don't have one in college?

Facebook would probably really help out, but think about how high school parties work; it's not only people with Facebooks that are invited.

It makes it easier for you to be reached, which may make people want to invite you more, but if you talk to people IN PERSON and get phone numbers, you should still get invited.

i herd that if you dream someones pregnant it means someones going to die, and if someone dies it mean someones pregnant? well i had a dream that my friend left me a voice mail saying she was getting an abortion, and she came over and looked about 8 months pregnant.. she left and came back and her stomache was gone but it was like flabby.. haha idk its been bugging me cause idk what it means.

This isn't true whatsoever. Probably just an urban legend.

Dreams are dreams; nothing more. They are manifestations of what has happened in your life, or they can just be completely random.

Really, they are nothing to worry about, unless you become the woman on Medium and start solving crimes with her dreams that are actually things that happen.

Color cartridges for printing are expensive - around $15 for one cartridge. :/

Do you think people would still respond to a flyer that's printed in black & white if I distributed them door to door?

Also, do you think flyers would be more effective than door hangers, or vice versa?

okay so me and my boyfriend are like straight up in love :) we've been together for like 3 years and we're only 16. well I'm 16 and he's 17. I haven't plan on loosing my virginity to him but now I feel that I'm ready but I'm just so scared. if we use a condom, what are the chances it might break or pop?

You're scared, which tells me straight-up that you're not ready to have sex. You're ready (and you shouldn't have sex until) when you have no reservations about it. Once there's no doubt or worry, then you're emotionally ready, at least half way there.

The chances that it will break are high if you don't use the condom correctly. Don't double-up, and read the directions on the package, and follow them exactly.

But even with a condom, you can still get pregnant, and I'm living proof of that. I was conceived even with a condom being used correctly.

So, you have to accept that that is a possibility. You should probably get on birth control, though I don't really condone that, since I'm honestly only for sex after marriage, though I obviously can't control you.

Anyway, please be safe if you decide to have sex.

So there's this guy. I'm a 14 year old girl right now, going on 15, and he's 33, going on 34. I'm very mature for my age, mentally and physically, so naturally, I tend to like older men. Well, when I met him, I thought he was a really nice guy. We hung out, and in the course of a year, I began developing feelings for him. We hang out a lot. I've known his parents since I was small, and he comes from a very nice family. I kept having dreams of him, and cannot stop thinking of him, so soon I was going crazy. Just a week ago, I couldn't take it anymore so I nearly exploded with emotions, and blabbed out that I liked him. He took it very well, and I was surprised because he said that right now he likes me as a friend, but if I was 18 or 19, he would seriously like me as a girlfriend. He explained that obviously he cannot say he liked me back considering I'm only 15, but he would wait and see if I still had these feelings in a year, and he'd keep checking up on me and when I hit 18 or 19 he said that we'd definitely talk. I really like him, and I feel that he likes me back. He's very sweet, kind, a great listener, and fun to be around. I'm just a bit worried, because of the age difference, if it ever did work out, I'd probably lose him and be widowed. If you truly love someone, I've heard these marriages work. Can I get past the age difference if I truly love him?

Honestly, this is wrong. You are UNDERAGE. You're under 18. He's over 18. THIS IS ILLEGAL.

Stay away from this man, as much as you think you love him. He could go to jail for even being in a relationship with you. Not to mention you would both suffer huge embarrassment.

Get out of this situation; I urge you.

I had so far two dreams that i was pregnant. What can this mean? As of now i know that im 100% not pregnant. Im just worried about the dream.

Dreams are manifestations of your day. If you're worried about pregnancy, maybe that's why you're having these dreams.

But having these dreams doesn't mean you're going to get pregnant or something [unless you choose to have sex].

I added phone tabs to the bottom of all of them, too.

Yet I walked around to the stores and locations I put them in, and no one took any of the phone tabss. :/ It's been around 4 days so far, too.

I put one up at a grocery store, the Boys & Girls Club, a bread store, a candy store, a church, the golf course I work at that has lots of kids programs, etc. I asked for permission at all of the places, of course.

What's going on?

You might not get calls for a few more days, or maybe weeks.

I bet if you made flyers to put in nearby neighborhoods, you might get more business? Don't put them in people's mailboxes, because that is illegal.

Put the flyers in people's doors. That way they'll see them.

A good friend told me he wanted to come visit me. He got here and within 48 hours had hooked up with a complete stranger. I never saw him at all for three days straight after that - then he went home without even calling to say "good-bye"!

I walked about 3 hours and 30 minutes today at a normal pace--no running, jogging, etc. Can I lose weight by walking this much or do I need to run or jog or something to get my heart rate up more to produce weight loss?

The fact that you're walking that long is good. You could lose weight, but if you wanted to lose weight faster, you'd have to find a way to pick up your heart rate, like you said.

Then again, I'm not a doctor, nor am I a fitness trainer.
