Me and this boy have been dating for quite a few months now. He's 19 and I'm 18. We started off going very slow, but then things gradually got faster and he told me he defintely has come to care for me so much and trust me (he's been hurt a lot in the past and hasn't had good experiences with relationships). I've met all of his friends and family, and he's constantly talking to them about me as if I'm this amazing person, which, in my opinion is very cute. Anyway, He's mentioned twice already in conversations about the future that he would not mind at all if we lived together when we're ready, etc. He's also asked me about my view on children (if i want them, how many, names, etc) and stuff like that. And, soon, I'm going on vacation for almost 3 months, and he said he's willing to wait for me, which I think is amazing consdiering he's a young guy. I don't know if its just me or does he seem like he's getting really serious? It doesn't bother me or anything, I'm just wondering.

I think it just means he's dedicated to you. That doesn't mean he's getting too serious and wants to settle down right now and get married. He just wants you to know that he cares about you.

Hello, I'm a sophmore in highschool, actually just finished my sophmore year. I want to graduate a year early and my guidance counselor said i could because i only need to more classes after next year and we can fit them into my schedule. My mom approves of me graduating early because she cant see me being in highschool for 2 more years because my maturity is already that of someone graduating college. My counselor told me i should write a letter explaining why i think i should graduate next year and my circumstances. I dont know what to say in this letter. Its not so much i NEED to do it early but highly desirable and im in a good position with grades and advanced test scores. I already thought of getting my teachers to write a statement on whether they believe i am ready to graduate next year or not but whatelse should put in the letter. The more details the better. Please and thank you!

Just explain your reasoning behind it. Be honest. Maybe talk about how graduating early might bring you challenges in the future, and what you would do to face those challenges. Such as being a year younger than all other people entering college. Explain why you think you have the maturity to do this. Maybe give an anecdote about a time your maturity really showed.

I think asking your teachers is a good idea. They'll give you honest feedback.

So i have a friend in illinois & i live in florida. I just wanted to know if it would cost anything. And if it does would it cost more or less with the same/different carrier. Like i have verizon. Say he has sprint or at&t. Would it cost money?

Uhm. To call or text? No, it shouldn't cost extra. Just call when it's free minutes. I have verizon and I only really will call anyone after 9pm or on weekends. If you have unlimited texting, it won't matter, not that texting someone in a different state would even cost more..

Half my friends are freaking out about tomorrow and I just heard about this! Why is the world supposed to end tomorrow? Who is saying this and should I eblieve it?

Will the world end on May 21st 2011?

The world isn't supposed to "end" tomorrow. The theory is that about 200 million people will be taken to heaven or 'raptured' and then the end of times will start to occur for the next 5 months, where the world will end on October 21, 2011.

It's all about what you believe, but I seriously doubt the world is going to end tomorrow.

Try just washing your face when you wake up and when you go to sleep. Try washing your pillow case at least once a week. Uhm. Honestly, I pop my pimples and it works out for me. But that doesn't work for everyone.

My boyfriend and I have been together for almost 5 years, he has had a really horrible up bringing in an abbusive home when he was a kid, we currently live together and i have recently found out I am pregnant.
He gets angry all the time, over the smallest things, like loosing a game of fifa or something, when he does get angry he always punches the walls, doors or breaks things but if i say something he doesn't like or tell him to do something i get hit, punched, kicked and i have almost lost the baby twice already because he has hit me in the stomach. I feel like i need him to be independent though, and he tells me to get out of the house all the time, and tells me i won't get anything in the flat/car etc. he calls me names all the time, swears at me continuously and shouts at me in public if i need the toilet or something. But, when he is in a good mood, he is a really great boyfriend.

In November 2009 i was invited to a party and i was getting ready and it was a dressing up party, he told me to drop his friend off at the train station which i did and when i got back he locked me out of the house and had thrown all of my clothes through the window, for no apparent reason, i picked up my clothes and told him to let me in, he made me beg, i was on the doorstep crying and begging at 11pm at night in the freezing cold in a tarty dress, i was begging for around an hour when i picked up a brick and tried to bash the door down, i only managed to put a scratch on the door, but he called the police and was put in jail that night. he pressed charges for criminal damage and i now have a criminal record, but the day after i got out of jail he apologised and we were back together the week after.

I just feel like i can't leave him, but i just don't know what to do to stop his behaviour. I am terrified of him when he is like this, but i don't know how to stop it. Pleease Helpp!+

I don't know legal things, but I am going to back everyone up by saying that you need to get out of this relationship, because it's for your own well-being and safety that you get out.

Like DN said- contact law enforcement. That's really the only advice I can give.

If she tells you she's ready, then she thinks she's ready. Personally, being 13 is kind of young to start having sex, but if you think you're ready, then I guess no one is going to stop you.

All I can say is please protect yourself. Use a condom. Educate yourself about the dangers of unprotected sex, teen pregnancy, etc.

20/F This Fall, I'll be going to a local University to work towards a Bachelor's Degree. I am going to live in a 4-person dorm and we each get our own rooms. I do not know the people I'll be living with. They will be chosen at random. Can you guys please provide me with your experience of living with roommates? Also, did you guys take the time to "get to know each other" or did it just kind of happen? This is my first time living away from home, so any input will help. Thanks!

I'm a freshman and I have a roommate whom I share a 13x13ish room with.

Just know that you don't by any means have to be best friends with your roommate(s). You certainly can be, and it's nice if you are, but if all you are to each other is roommates, that's fine.

People often make the mistake of thinking that they have to hang out with their roommates all the time, and for awhile it might work, but eventually you will get sick of them. There will be fights, etc.

I guess it's all about balance. Don't go in expecting anything, really. Just go with the flow and see what happens.

I've been texting this guy and he definetly wants to hookup and he wanted a picture and everything (i didn't send him one). but it's weird because he said he just got out of a 2 year relationship and didn't want anything serious at the moment. but when I told him I wanted to wait to get to know him better before/if we have sex and that I didn't want to send him a picture because I didn't know him that well and he didn't try to force it out of me or anything he just accepted it. and he said he didn't want anything too serious but he stayed up texting me until 2 in the morning. This kid sounds like he just wants another relationship to have another relationship. I would just stay away. He's probably not worth your time if he immediately asked for pictures and didn't even take the time to get to know you first.

so I messaged this guy in one of my classes because I had a question. Then we started talking and he said he wanted to hangout before he left for vacation (he left today). He didn't give me a date though he said we'd just play it day by day because we were getting a huge snowstorm both days he was gonna be home(which we did). I forgot to mention something about making guy friends. I'm kind of in the same boat as you. I have a lot of girl friends but like.. 5 or less guy friends.

Maybe join a club or a sport? Not just for the sake of meeting guy friends, but maybe you can kill two birds with one stone by getting a few buddies and doing something that interests you.

I went through the same thing you did. About everything thinking I was gay.

Ignore people. They are stupid and ignorant and don't know you as well as you know yourself. Just because your friends are girls, it doesn't mean you are gay. So, my advice is to forget what they say. Yes, that is easier said than done, but you'll find that once you're out of high school, you won't see any of these people again.

Don't try to kiss a girl or something around everyone to prove that you're straight. It's not worth it. Let people think what they want, and go on living your life.
