I was just wondering how to get into modeling for like local stores that sell clothes and stuff. anyone know?
I'll give you some steps to try.
1. Get a portfolio made (obviously with a fashion model focus). You can do this either through a local photographer or I think Glamour Shots has a special portfolio option.
2. Create a professional resume and cover letter. Make it only one page. Be sure to include headings like objective, education, work experience, and modeling experience (paid or unpaid). You might also want to include interests and activities, volunteer experience, modeling/beauty awards and hobbies. As you gain experience, update your resume to include more of your modeling related activities and less of everything else.
3. While your working on getting a modeling job, work on buffing up your resume. Participate in local beauty contests. Even if you don't win you could still mention that you participated in the event in a hobbies or interests section. See if you can get involved in fashion shows.
4. Get your package out there. You could mail it to local stores to express interest in modeling for the store. However, your best bet is to hand deliver it (looking your best of course) and ask to speak to a manager or owner.
5. Don't get discouraged, and look for modeling opportunities everywhere!

OK this is what I remember, really briefly, about John Locke and social contracts.
His "social contract" argues that people have a right to rebel against tyranny, because people contract with one another to form whatever type of government - so they can abolish or reform it as they wish.

Is it illegal in EVERY state to be asked your hair color or your weight on your State I.D. and Drivers License? I am for certain that it is illegal in some states, but is it an American law that every state must follow?
It's not illegal in any state, some states just don't do it. Those that do not have found that so many people change hair color, weight, and other things so often that there's no point in having it on an ID.
I live in Florida, and my DL only doesn't have height, weight, or hair color. Just a photo, signature, DOB, and name. It wouldn't be illegal for them to ask if they wanted to, though. They just don't.

Ok, I wasn't sure where to put this but here I go.
The last few weeks, just under my eye.. like in the corner next to my nose it has been twitching.
It's driving me CRAZY. It doesn't twitch when I put my finger on it so i've been walking around with my finger on my face most of the day.
The girl that I work with said it was to do with tiredness.. but i'm not sure!
Can anyone please tell me how to get rid of it, i'm sick of it!

Twitches often develop due to stress, anxiety, or over-exertion. You can also develop a twitch by consuming too much caffeine.
I recommend that you increase your magnesium intake through supplements or by eating more bananas and nuts. Decrease your intake of caffeine. And try to relax! If you can afford it, take a spa day. It sounds like you deserve one.
If this doesn't help, you might want to see if you can drop one of your obligations (extracurriculars, extra job hours, etc.). If you still continue to twitch, you might want to see your doctor. He'll ask questions and most likely prescribe either an anti-anxiety medication or mild muscle relaxant.

I am very confused about religion. My family is Christian and believe in God, but aren't too religious. I was never told to believe in anything.
I believe in God. BUT I also believe in Karma. Is there any sort of name or religion for that? they are two different beliefs and religions, but I believe in both.

I am assuming that you are asking about taking the perscribed dosage. Here are the positive and negative side effects. Bare in mind that these can differ drastically from one person to another. One person might have many strong side effects, and another almost none at all.

I'm not wiccan, but I am new age. And I don't have a spell, but I do have a meditation (which is basically a spell anyway).
Find a quiet place without interruptions. I guess it would depend on your wiccan persuasion if this were outdoors, in a darkened room, or wherever. Set the scene in a way that makes you feel most "powerful;" for example, candles in your strongest color, incense, soft music or nature sounds (or silence), running water like an indoor fountain.
Sit, lounge, lie in a postition that is most comfortable for you. Picture yourself in a crowd. Slowly and deliberately image all the details - smells and sounds, movement, etc. Once the scene is well established, slowly imagine yourself become brighter or glowing. Image everyone around you becoming dimmer or fading. Picture everyone turning to notice you. Once you feel happily as the center of attention, imaging your glow as a tiny point coming from deep inside you. Slowly image it growing larger and brighter, traveling down arms and legs and into your head. Now imagine you carry this glow with you everywhere you go. Oh yeah, the whole thing should take about 30 minutes.
You may have to practice this several times for it to take effect. You should find yourself standing taller and projecting a nicer aura.
If you find this particular meditation isn't helping (or doesn't leave you feeling more noticable after a few tries), change it to reflect your personal needs more.

Hi! My problem is my sweaty sweaty palms. I dont know if i have the Hyperhydrosis issue, but my palms sweat so much even if i'm not doing anything. They dont drip sweat, but i guess my issue here is how to use Drysol to help solve my dilemma. It works WONDERS on my underarms but i tried rubbing it in my palms before bed and it didnt solve the issue. So the next night i wore rubber gloves to bed after applying the Drysol and that hasnt helped for me either. So i really need to know how to use Drysol for my palms becuase its embarrasing for me to hold my boyfriends hand, HE has to wipe his hand off from MY sweat..ew! So please help! Thanks!

My husband bought me a dog when we first got married, I loved this dog more than anything in the whole world..time passes me and hubby got a divorce and I moved.. that living situation didnt work out and I asked my Ex to take care of my dog for a few months for me (I knew he would take good care of her) anyways, I just found out that he gave Precious away! He gave her to his brother and his brother's wife -the wife, which hates me more than anyone on the face of the earth! What can I do? She was not a pure breed dog so I have no papers on her of that kind. I do have all my papers from vet visits with my name being on the reciepts as the owner. I also have TONS of picutres of me and her from the last 5 years. Do I have any legal rights or should I plot to steal her back? This woman never took care of her dogs and you could always see there rib cages. It is breakin my heart that my dog could possibly not be fed or showed the love she needs. Please just offer me your opinion... my heart is breaking! P.S. I'm married now and can provide her all the love and care she could ever need.

In most areas, property law says the dog is yours. You have vet papers with your name, pictures of the two of you, and (most likely) plenty of people willing to state that the dog is yours and no one elses.
Call your local police department. Explain the matter to them. In most areas, after proving the dog is yours, a uniformed police officer will show up at your ex-brother-in-law's house and reclaim the dog for you.

Let me start of by saying, I'm 18 and I'm not in college yet, I'll be going when I'm 19, right now I have a job and I pay for an apartment. I wanted to experince life alittle after highschool. I got pregnant my senior year in high school. I'd had plans to go away to UCF, get a master's degree, and then start working. After I got pregnant everything changed. I had to get a job and a place to live. Instead of going to university I had to go to the local community college part time. Instead of going for my masters, now I'm happy to be finishing up my A.S.
My daughter is three years old now. I'm married and we have our second one on the way. Everything was hard at first. Telling my parents was awful. They got over it, and since then they've helped me out a lot. I didn't tell them until I was in my second trimester.

I got my pallad expander on almost 2 weeks ago and whenever I move my tounge around my mouth the pallad expanders moves and goes up and down and its not in secure place. Is that normal or should I get it checked?
I seem to remember mine staying firmly in place, but that was a long time ago. Before you make an appointment, just call your dentist and see if you can explain the problem and get an opinion over the phone. It's cheaper and quicker.

I cried alot today with my contacts in. Now they are fuzzy. I can still see, but it's a little fuzzy. Should I change them? And why did it do this?
My eye doctor always told me that these are calcium deposits. Here's what will work for repeated use contacts. Take your contacts out and wash them with your contact solution. I'll include how just in case your doctor didn't tell you.
First, wash your hands. Place one contact in the palm of your hand. Squirt a few drops of contact solution onto it. With one finger of your other hand, gently rub the solution into your contact. If the spots are really bad, flip the lense over and rub the other side, too. Repeat with your other lense.
They should be fresh and clear when you put them back in. If not let them soak overnight. For one-time-use contacts, you could clean them the same way (if you have contact solution), or just throw them away.

Your best bet is to do things legally. Let your dad know that you would rather live with him. Then the case can be sent to court to get your legal residence changed to your fathers house.
If you are in physical or emotional danger where you are living now, tell the police. They can put you in your father's house while the case works its way through court.

A female condom is sort of like a reverse condom. Instead of going on a man, it goes inside a woman. You insert it with your fingers. It can make some...funny...noises during sex, but they work just fine. They're much more popular in Europe than America due to the funny noises.

Hey! 14/f. I'm just wondering if anyone has every been through a situation like this: well I'm a freshman in HS now and I'm kinda worried about my lunch period. School hasn't started for me yet but I'm kinda concerned. My school starts at 7:15am, which means I'm going to have to eat breakfast before I go on the bus, which will end up being about 6:15-6:30 in the morning. My lunch period is going to be at 12:35pm. This means I will have to wait almost 6 hours to eat...and I'm kinda concerned because last year I could barely last 3-4 hours. Well I can't change my schedule or switch lunch periods, the school has already made it clear that we have to stick with the schedule they gave us. I just wanted to know if anyone had any ideas on what I can eat that will fill me up for 6 hours that I can prepare in the morning/or the night before school. Or any snacks I could jam in the hallway in-between classes. Thanks in advance!
Eat something substantial for breakfast. Oatmeal, fruit, eggs, and fat-free milk are all good choices. Avoid really sugary things like cereals high in sugar, poptarts, and soda. You'll digest them really quickly and be hungry sooner.
Drag your breakfast out. Eat an apple or orange at the bus stop. If your allowed, on the bus would be even better.
Pack a something that is not high in sugar to eat in between classes, like a low-sugar snack (or meal replacement) bar. Those 100 cal snack packs make good mid-morning snacks, too. You can usually find them in chip and cookie aisles.
Finally, if you feel _really_ bad when you go that long without eating, see a doctor. You might have a small blood sugar problem that would allow you special permission to eat in class when you feel hungry or sick.

Two ways:
Buy a bookshelf and study cooking.
Watch the food channel on TV (I think you can do that in your version of Sims).
You know they're learning to cook if they get a little oval over their heads that fills while they read or watch TV.
