I am writing a paper for school about when I went to NYC. I am writing about when I went to Canal Street. Could my english teacher get me in troble for buying fake stuff from Canal Street?

I'm sorry, I'm a little confused. Do you mean fake like illegal? If so, it depends on your teacher. You really don't want a paper record of anything illegal that you've done.
Probably nothing will happen. However, you might get sent to a counselor or something similar to discuss what you did and what could've happened if you were caught.
