I really like this guy, he's amazing. But it's been 2 years for us both. I want him to ask me out so bad. We've been on a few dates. And I smile like an idiot after we kissed. How can I get him to ask me out?
Im 18 and female. And litterly clueless. (link)
|
If you like him, you should just ask him out.
You can't *make* him ask you out. You can give the right impression, and hope that he does. If he doesn't then the ball's in your court. Maybe he is not interested, or maybe he is and is too shy. The only real way to find out is for you to ask him out.
It's the 21st century. There is nothing wrong with a girl asking a guy out.
Good luck.

Ok, so here's the story. I'm 14 years old and very mature for my age. I was in a committed relationship with a girl but it only lasted one month. My backstabbing "best friend" gossiped about me and the news spread round the school. Only me and my girlfriend did more than kiss, she touched me too. I know I'm too young and I don't know what came over me but neither of us have that type of personality. Like I said, I'm very mature for my age and we knew what we were doing. She's 15 though but she didn't force me into anything and she was gentle and careful with me. My friend told other people and soon everyone got to know. My so called "best friend" keeps denying that she told anyone even though everyone knows she did therefore I've stopped being friends with her even though we were like sisters. I have a family member that works at the school so as soon as the story spread she got to find out. She then told my parents and now, I've lost everything. My parents went crazy, they said I'm too young to do anything like that and I broke down. I understand I shouldn't of done it and I said I was truly sorry. I promised my parents I wouldn't do anything like it again but they don't trust me anymore and now they have stopped me speaking to her. I'm not allowed to talk to her, see her or meet her again, it's killing me. I may be only 14 but I did love her and my life has turned upside down. My parents wont give in no matter how much I beg them. I know I have done wrong at an early age but all I wish for is another chance. I have lost my "best friend", my trust with my parents and my girlfriend and now I don't know what to do. I miss her so much and life isn't the same without her however, I know that my parents are still really worried about me and wont let me speak to her. It may not be the most wisest idea to post this on the internet but I need help, I don't know what to do. (link)
|
Well, as long as you live with your parents, you have to abide by their rules.
Really, if they feel that you are too young to date, or whether you are dating the wrong person, you just have to live with it, as harsh as it sounds. They're really just trying to do what's in your best interest, even if it doesn't seem like that.
Personally, if I had children (I don't: I'm 20), I wouldn't let them date at 14. You should enjoy your childhood, rather than try to grow up too quick. You will have around 60years to be an adult. You have less to be a child. So enjoy it.
In short: you just have to live with it.
Good luck :)

Two nights a go I screamed in horror as I watched my dad choke my mom and then chase her with a knife. I cant stand this anymore. Alcohol is killing him and he doesn't want to admit it
he needs help but if he doesn't want it I know he won't get better. Im holding on to the last thing I have, hope. So far it hasn't helped. What can I do?
(link)
|
You have some obvious options: i.e. calling the police. This may sound harsh, but sometimes, people need a wake-up call. Standing in front of a judge can sometimes be it. Although it may be hard to see your father in prison, he has done wrong, and it may be the place where he is re-rehabilitated.
You can of course do others things such as refer him to AA or counselling and the such, but if he is in denial, then he won't go, and wont be able to be helped.
So, as hard as it is, I think you should call the authorities. One day, he may go too far and kill someone. Putting him away to get the help he needs is the only way to prevent this.
Good luck. Let me know what you decide on.

What are some free dating sites you guys recommend? I've tried Zoosk and Okcupid.. Anything else? Anything better?? (link)

Match.com and eharmony are the best two available, from what I hear.
There are lots of review sites, just google "dating site review" and you can see results.
Good luck.

I was wondering I have unpaid medical bills I heard if they aren't paid anything medical cant hurt your credit or ruin your credit score when you go for a loan? Is this true? (link)
|
The medical company does not have to tell credit agencies if they do not want to: it's voluntary.
If they do, it will effect your score, but it will be negligible. So it won't make too much of a difference. They care more about people that get a credit card and go on a spending spree, and never pay back.
But, you should note, that if the medical company decides to enforce the medical bill with the use of a collection agency, that may also show up on your credit report.
In short: it can make a difference, but is negligible. You should contact a couple ratings agencies to double check.
Good luck :)

Alright, so I'm just curious to know how many of you believe in ghosts and like paranormal activity?
I was always a bit sceptical until something really strange happened my sister..
She has a baby boy who is 6months old and she was over at her boyfriends house,(he lives with his grandparents)he was outside working.
She was downstairs on her own on her laptop when she thought she heard footsteps on the stairs. She presumed in was her boyfriend and carried on. Only then she heard strange sounds. She said she would go upstairs and check the baby monitor up she went and it was working away and the baby was fast asleep. She went back down and continued working. Only then she said she heard a women's voice singing the nursery rhyme "all around the mulberry bush" she thought it was her laptop but it wasn't. She went upstairs to check the monitor again and it was off batteries flat! She heard the voice again. It was really clear. Naturally she was super freaked out. A few days later a similar thing happened when her boyfriend was there only this time it was "mary mary quite contrary"
Her boyfriends granddad said his mother used to live in the house who is deceased now sand she used to sing rhymes to him when he was a baby so they think it could be her watching over my nephew.
I don't know it seems so far fetched but I believe my sister she wouldn't make that up. Especially since she thinks it's all nonsense aswell.
Although when she was younger my mum said my sister claimed she saw our deceased granddad on numerous occasions. One time she fell in the playground at school and a teacher went to help her up and she said "it's okay granddad is doing it" Maybe it was just imagination.
Who knows. So what do you guys believe? any freaky experiences?
Thanks for answering!

I personally don't believe in such things. I have friends who do: one friend is persistent in her belief that she once saw a ghost. She uses those terrible ghost hunting shows as 'proof' that ghosts exist. Personally, I think those shows are ridiculous, but its understandable why people believe such things.
The human brain is a fascinating, crazy little thing. It can play tricks on us, and screw with our imaginations, even when we are consciously certain that what happened was real.
Just look at illusions, and hallucinations.
No one can be dogmatic about these things, as it's difficult to say yes or no. But I don't.

Hey 18(almost 19/f) So I have been with my boyfriend just short of three years. I love him more than I have loved anyobe else in my life. I truly believe we have a long future together. However there's just one problem, sex. I lost my virginity to him when I was almost 17.(he was a virgin too) It was extremely awkward and just didnt go to plan. After that we tried a few more times but with the same result. I put it down to not being ready so we put it off for another while. We never really have sex just mess around but when we try its just painfully disappointing. It doesnt feel like anything to me?!No pain or pleasure I just feel a weird feeling in.my tummy. I can't orgasm from fingering either just from him rubbing my clit. I don't think I come either once or twice I think but usually not. Whats wrong with me?I am relaxed before sex and we do spend time on foreplay. Also when we try his oenis keeps like slipping out? Ive tried to be paitient because he is just as inexperienced as me but its soo frustrating. Also when he comes he just goes soft straight away and cant get hard again. is this normal?I have heard of people having sex multiple times a night but he says it doesnt work like that?can anyone help me im at the point where I think il just give up on sex and i dont want that! were strong enough not to let this effect us and we play around a lot but i want a decent sex life! any advice appreciated please only answer if you are experienced. Thank you (link)
|
First, let me address the penis issue. Yes, it's absolutely normal for the penis to go soft after ejaculating. This happened to every single guy in the world. People do have sex multiple times a night, but there has to be a gap in between, for ones 'body' to recover. This depends on the guy, but is usually around 1 hour, maybe longer.
In regards to it slipping out: what's the problem? Is it too small? Or too big? Either way, you can figure out sex positions to cater for this. For too small: e.g. doggy style, for too big: cowgirl. I won't get into details here, but you can research.
If you can only orgasm with stimulation of the clitoris, this is also normal. You, or he, could 'stimulate it', for lack of a better term. Also, try masturbating, and figure out what you like. Then tell him, so he knows what to do.
And foreplay should last a long time: like, an hour+. This will help you both get into the mood, and the experience will be better because of the long wait, for both of you.
If the sensation of you not feeling anything continues, you could try stuff like stimulating lubricants. Durex do some that tingle, some that warm, some that cool. Ribbed condoms may also work.
In short: Experiment with what you both like. Tell him. Be sure foreplay lasts long.
Hope I helped :)

If you send someone a picture message and it says it sent and then can receive picture messages but they don't get it, where does the picture go? (link)
|
It doesn't go anywhere. It just lingers in the communication line.
I'm obviously no expert, but it's best to try again. If it doesn't send to the intended recipient, then don't worry, it's wont get sent to someone random.
It's not like a real letter for example, where you send it, and the person doesn't get it, so it must be in the processing centre or whatever.

I've written a well thought out essay on why I want to be cheer captain. But I'm stuck on the conclusion! I've put in my essay my good communication skills, responsibility and maturity, how I'm a good role model, fairness and impartiality, how I'm approachable, and how I can delegate with being bossy. Please help! I want to be captain so bad. (link)
|
Well, a conclusion is just a summary of what you have written. It's for when, for example, you write a 10 page essay, and need a quick summary of your findings.
In the conclusion, just re-state why you think you would be great for it, and why you want in, but in shortened form.
Conclusion to this answer: Just state everything simply, and in short.
Sorry I couldn't be more help!

How common is the idea of men waxing to remove hairs? Would it be weird if I wanted my boyfriend to wax "down there?" (link)
|
Men waxing is becoming more and more common. Men may choose to remove hair for favious reasons: comfort, hygiene, just to get the feeling, etc etc.
You could definitely speak to your boyfriend about removing hairs from his pubic region. Waxing, however, is not recommended in that area. This is because the skin is *TERRIBLY* thin and sensitive, and may be harmful. What is more common, is trimming the hair very short with an electrical clipper. Then, he can shave. He shaves by first having a hot bath of shower, lathering up using foam or gel, and using a fresh, sharp razor and being *EXTREMELY* careful.
But do speak to your boyfriend: remember though that it's his choice, and he may not want to, simply because it's his body and he likes it the way it is, or because some guys feel insecure about hair removal.
Hope I helped! :)

Ok so my golden retriever is 2 1/2 and he has hip dysplasia in both of his hips... His vet told him to go on a diet and lose some of his weight. But I was so confused when my parents told me he had it in both hips... So I was just wondering... Will he die young? How much time does he have left? (He is also a very big boy. His bones grew faster than his body did) (link)
|
Hello,
Hip Dysplasia is a form of arthritis. The reason the vet told you do ensure he eats less, is so that there is not so much weight being put on the dogs hips.
Now, dogs usually have this condition from very young, and so he has probably figured out how to deal with it. He may not want to walk often, or climb things. The best thing you can do is to just understand this, and not force him, but you also want to ensure he does get exercise.
Sometimes, it may be so bad, that the dog is in severe pain that prevents it from having a decent way of life. If it gets to this, surgery may be involved, but putting the dog down may also be an option.
But this is something you shouldn't think about, simply because the vet has already told you a solution: to lose weight so that there is less pressure.
In short, there a dog won't die directly from hip dysplasia, but it's best to do everything possible to make like comfortable for them.
There is a good wikipedia article here:

Good luck! :)

I have a watch that was given to me by my parents when I was a child. I want to give it to my child, but it has stopped working. Where can I go to get a mechanical, spring wound watch fixed these days? Thanks! (link)
|
Hello,
Your only really bet is to go to a watch-repair place. Obvious, I know. But also ask shoe-repair/belt-repair places if they do it. Often, Key-cutters may also have facilities to fix watches. Jewelers may also be an option. You can check a phone book, or google for local businesses.
Be sure however, that they are a well established business. You don't want to risk such a sentimental item with a newbie to the trade. I know that we all have to start somewhere, but why risk it?
Look for family run businesses also. This is because, the same family have probably been doing the same job for generations, and so even the youngest child probably started learning the trade by watching 'papa' fix watches. Maybe I'm getting a bit too romantic about this. Just be sure you take it to someone who knows what they're doing. Don't also settle on someone because they are cheap. They may also use a cheap part, and watches are delicate, complicated things. That part may easily mess the whole watch up.
In short: Check small, local businesses that have been running for a while. Don't settle on price, and look for quality.
Good luck! :)

What would be a great nickname to call my boyfriend Gabe? (link)
|
Really, all we can offer you is a shortened version of "Gabe". We do not know Gabe, and so we cannot suggest nicknames, WHICH should be personal, and based on their interests/personality.
Unfortunately, I don't know why you would want a nickname for Gabe. It's pretty much one syllable. Two if you go for GAY-BUH, but it's really a stretch.
If his name was Gabriel, it would be easier. You should shorten it to "Gabe" or "Rie" or "Rye".
But there is no point in giving a nickname to someone who already has a short name. That is unless you want it to be for a reason other than being short i.e. a personal nickname, in which situation, you should think of it, as it's personal.

Hello! I am going to be eighteen in about a week and I was wondering if there are any online jobs that require writing and working at home. I've tried looking for some myself, but most of them are fake or require that I pay them money-- which I find rather stupid. I need money with all the things coming up for college and trips. So if you know any reliable sites in which they offer online jobs, some that maybe require writing or even taking surveys, is fine by me! Or maybe help me get started on searching? Please and thank you! (link)
|
There really are not online, easy, jobs such as surveys that pay well. It's usually like $0.014 per survey etc, and you really wouldn't want to risk it.
You can do certain jobs from home though. Tele-sales is a basic job, which involves cold-calling people and selling them something over the phone. You could go to an agency, ask around or find offices/shops that sell things, e.g. windows, doors, insurance, or more commonly, magazine advertisement space. The latter is usually a good, common starter job for someone young like you.
Also, some blogs (big ones) are often looking for contributing writers. They sometimes pay, but they don't write that on the advert. So find some big blogs that interest you, and ask if they have a contribution scheme, whereby you can submit articles that you have written. Let them tell you whether it is paid: don't ask them straight up. Also, be sure it is something you enjoy writing about and researching, as you will need to contribute regularly. Even this, the biggest blogs may even offer you $30 a months if you submit a certain number of articles/posts *that they actually use*.
I have to say though, that it may be difficult to find a job at your age. Elder, more experienced people are being made redundant from their jobs, and these are more favorable to the employer.
Good luck though!

I apologize in advance if I freak anyone out with this description!
For a while now, maybe a month or two I keep over-producing eye 'gunk' or whatever you want to call it.. it's clear/yellow-ish and quite stringy, so it feels like I've got an eyelash or something stuck in my eye constantly. (That's the weird gross bit over!)
I think I've developed some form of allergic reaction to my eyeliner and/or mascara. I'm not sure, I tend to wear both of them quite a lot and it happens more often than not.
The only two things that worry me:
Firstly, sometimes I get those symptoms when I'm not wearing eye makeup, or if I haven't been wearing it in a while.
Second, it's not always in the same eye. It tends to be more the left eye, but I've had times where it switches.
I tried eye drops for a while which cleared it up quite well, so it makes me think maybe it's an infection?
I am trying to get a doctors opinion on this, but I really want to have some form of idea of what might be causing it, even if it's not an infection or anything like that, I just want to know a few ideas. Thank you very much! xx (link)
|
Hello,
you could be allergic to some of the ingredients in the make-up, like you say. It is definitely possible: I knew a guy in school, who didn't come to school for a week. When he got back, we asked him what happened. He told us, that he and his brother were 'messing about' with their sisters' make-up, put eyeliner on, and had an allergic reaction. His eye literally puffed up! So it's definitely possible.
It could also be that you're not applying the make-up properly. This may not be the case if you have been using it for a while.
Also, have you recently changed the brand you use? It may be that a certain brand contains an ingredient that doesn't agree with you.
I also know that 'out-of-date' make-up can be harmful. Often, people buy really cheap make up, but it's cheap because it's out of date. Because make-up uses animal products, using out of date make up can be harmful.
But really, like you say, your doctor should be able to help you. If you've already booked and appointment and cannot wait, go to a good pharmacy/chemist and ask their opinion. That's what I usually do if I have an eye problem, as they are generally (hopefully) medically trained.
But the Doctor is your best option!
Good luck :)

Like why did they make a bathroom like that. Why not just have stalls?
Isn't it weird to be standing at a urinal peeing while some other guy is standing there beside you peeing too??? (link)
|
There is a VERY strict, unwritten code of etiquette when using a public restroom.
Always stare directly in front you, or down. Never look to the left or right. If you accidently nudge someone, do not turn, just say sorry.
If all urinals are free, use either the first, or last, not a middle ones. This is to ensure that if someone else comes along, there is space without it being awkward.
If the first and last are taken up, ensure there is the greatest amount of space between you and other goers.
So yes, it can be awkward if you have an idiot who decides to stare at you, or look around. But pretty much most men know what to do.
Men, unlike women, go to the bathroom alone, and purely for functional reasons. Not to have a chat, not to do their make up. So we go in, do our business, go out.
Some, better places, just have cubicles. I.e. unisex toilets, and each cubicle has its own mirror, lock, wash basin, and the such. But this is often expensive.

|
I dont burn hurt or anything i havent done anything different but my urine smells awfull on my panties & when i pee (link)
|
You need to drink plenty of water, to dilute the ammonia, bacteria etc.
Of course, be sure to wash/wipe.
If you are worried, see a doctor.
