My boyfriend and i have been together for about eight months. One of my friend chelsea decided to tell all the girls at lunch how much cuter her boyfriend is compared to my boyfriend. Chelsea and I are both seniors in highschool. When i found this out I was furious. My hands were shaking and i wanted so much to say something to her about that. A lot of girls become extremely jealous when their friends get boyfriends. That's probably all it is. Talk to her about it. If she won't cooperate in trying to make your friendship work or keeps saying rude things, she isn't your friend and you should move on.

You should speak to your doctor before seeking advice on the internet. Regardless of who the people are, your doctor knows your condition the best. If you don't feel confident in your doctor, get a new one. Nothing wrong with that as long as your insurance covers it or you can pay for it.

There are a few options. You can either take medication, get surgery such as laser surgery but there are other kinds, get an implant, or have it drained. Every case is different though so you need to speak with a doctor. It is treatable and there are options.

hello all! i am hoping that maybe you can help me out, here. i am going through a little bit of a rough time with nutrition and being healthy. let me further explain. as i was growing up (early teens), i weighed about 120 pounds. i am only 4"11 now, so back then i was a little shorter, about 4"9. I wasn't super fat, but i was definitely on the chubby side. that's not to say that everyone is 4"11 and 120 pounds is chubby, because every body type is different! Some people have more boobs, some have more butt, and some people just have a bigger bone structure. But, I am a tiny girl. I always had big boobs and a huge butt, but it was a little bit too big for my size and my structure, because I have a really small frame and bone structure. most people can wrap their thumb to their pinky around my wrist. i always struggled with losing weight. it was like every time i would try, i would just fail. it was a constant struggle. i wanted to lose weight so much, because i was just so uncomfortable in my own skin. finally, i did lose the weight. I'm not quite sure how I did it, but I did. I think it was just going to the gym and trying to be more healthy. Like, instead of doing crazy diets, I would just chose fruits instead of fries, swiss instead of cheddar, and switching my milk from 2 percent to skim. stuff like that. So i went down to about 110. I was really happy with myself, and I felt great. I felt so good about myself, and I suddenly started taking more of an interest in myself, because I was happy with the way I looked and the way I felt. But, it started getting out of control. Taking a interest took a wrong turn, and before i knew it, i was weighing myself every day and restricting myself to 600 calories a day. I was out of control! I became really obsessed and had to get therapy right away, because i took it to an extreme and ended up at 83 pounds. Even though I'm small, 83 pounds was just not a good weight for me, especially under the conditions I was in. There were bones popping out of everywhere, my hair started falling,and since I wasn't eating, I had no energy, and no drive to take care of myself. I became very isolated, and lost all my friends. I had bags under my eyes that were purple and gray. I looked like a zombie. Anorexia quickly turned in bulimia when I feared that I had exceeded my 600 calories. There was no stopping me. Everyone and around me, and me, myself, were suffering greatly. But, I didn't know what to do. I had hit rock bottom, and I was afraid to get out, because my biggest fear was being fat, and being the person I was before, the one who hated herself, and never took an interst in herself. But, at this point, I was there anyway, because I wasn't taking care of myself. I was harming myself greatly, I just didn't see it. I started to come out of it little by little, and reached 98 pounds eventually. At 98 pounds, I was a happy girl. I felt good about myself, and it was a weight that I felt really comfortable at. Even 100. 96-100 was a good weight for me. I looked good, I felt good, and I was eating reasonably. I wasn't eating a lot, but I wasn't eating too little. I was just watching out for myself. But, I still hadn't gotten my period back, which I had lost for about a year due to the eating disorder. But, during the recovery, I started binge eating a lot, because my body was so deprived of the nutrients. Today I am at 105, and i don't feel comfortable here at all. I mean, I'm not fat. I still look skinny. But, I'm just not comfortable. My clothes don't fit as nice, I feel swollen in different areas, and worst of all, I still binge every once in a while. But, not as bad as before. But, my question is... how can i lose these 5-7 pounds safely, without turning anorexic again, and still being able to eat foods i like? I am convinced that i can lose the weight as long as i stop bingeing. but, how can i? it's become more like a habit already, and i know that it's not a good habit, and it's one that i really don't like and really want to stop. but, when something is a habit, it's hard. i need something to get me started. i know that the answer is to try to eat healthy, be nutritional, so that it doesn't happen. i've even tried taking vitamins, but nothing works. it's like at this point, it's just become something that i do. it's not as bad as it was before, but i just know that if i control my mouth, i will be where i want to be again, and feel good and happy with myself. i want to grab this monster by the horns, before it grabs me again. i just need a good way of getting started... can someone offer me any help? I am in recovery for Anorexia as well. Even though I have never had Bulimia, I still feel that I can talk to you about many aspects of your question while being able to relate to them. I am not sure how my Anorexia started, but I lost weight in the same form you had. It began with exercising and making healthy substitutions. My family and friends didn't think anything was wrong with me. What's wrong with trying to be healthy? It became out of control. Eating disorders are based on control. Patients with eating disorders feel the need to restrict their food so that they can achieve the body image they want. Unfortunately, negative health affects come from this and it can become very dangerous and unhealthy. You have to see things from a medical aspect. Is the weight you want, even if it's 80 lbs, worth risking your health? If you aren't healthy, there is nothing to work for. Instead of going out with your friends, spending time with your family, going to school, or getting a job, you will have to be in a treatment center where they control what you eat and how much of it.

It's a lot easier said then done. Even though I feel like I came a long way, I still struggle with eating. For your height, you do not need to weigh 120 lbs to be healthy. For your height, you can weigh anywhere from 105-120 lbs. Even though you may feel that 105 is a lot for you, since you were 80 lbs before, it is not a lot in any way. Runway models can weigh 160 lbs and their job is to look good. You're definitely right about body types and you want what's best for you. Doctors will probably tell you the same. Anything under 105 lbs can become unhealthy, especially since you've suffered from eating disorders.

With binging and purging, if you are still doing it, you should seek treatment. It's a viscous cycle that is difficult to treat by yourself. A professional needs to discuss it with you so that you can become healthy. Anorexia can also be violent. Restricting calories is not good either.

For your height and weight, you should be eating around 2000 calories a day. That seems like a lot, but it isn't. You're a growing girl who is trying to stabilize and maintain your weight. If you feel that you are gaining weight fast and are going past a comfortable range, then you can decrease your calories, but only by a bit. You shouldn't go under 1800 calories anymore. It's not going to be easy but it will help you stay at a healthy weight.

You can still eat the foods you enjoy. If you don't like eating junk food, you don't have to. Keeping a well-balanced diet is important in maintaining weight. No one said you have to eat McDonalds to get better.

Be her friend first. That might sound like you're going into the wrong direction, but you're not. As long as you're there for her, treat her nicely, are friendly, give her your attention, and spend time with her, she'll realize that you do care for her and that you'll be there to talk to. You should take her out on a date. Girls like when guys are honest. Tell her how you feel. It isn't a bad thing. That way there will be no confusion. If she doesn't feel the same, at least you'll know. If you're her friend, you can spend time with her and see where things go from there.

I think this question might be too difficult for anyone to answer. Everyone's opinion is completely different. In my own opinion, a pretty girl is just someone with pretty features and who is confident. If someone can carry themselves well, they are confident in themselves and their appearance, making themselves more approachable. This might sound a bit cliche, but everyone has something pretty about them.

My right lymph node is swollen, but thats not all. I have a canker sore on the right cheek of my mouth, it hurts really bad. Is there anything i can do to prevent them from coming back when they leave? i know that to get rid of them you use one part maalox and one part benedryl, but how can you prevent them?

You can't really prevent them. Some people are prone to more canker sores than others. I know alot of people that get them, but I also know alot of people that don't. Here are a few things you can do so they aren't as frequent.

-Don't use toothpaste containing SLS or other irritating ingredients
-Avoid chewing gum, hard, crunchy, or really spicy foods as much as you can to limit mouth irritation
-Brush your teeth after meals or at least twice a day
-Use a softer toothbrush and floss a few times a week

14/f -I have a REALLY annoying beauty mark on my face. its on my right side and i've never liked it...ever. I want it removed so badly! I look so much prettier in pictures without it..how can I get it removed? I know I can go to a dermatologist..but how much does that cost? Does is hurt? Can it damage my skin? I just really hate it because it's really noticeable and I want a completely clear face, no beauty marks. It all depends on what kind of doctor you go to. You'll have to do some researching around your area. It also depends on what kind of removal process you go through to get the cost estimates. An option would be laser surgery. Any procedure can be anywhere from $100 or more. You should talk to your parents & ask them to take you to the doctor. It may cost money, but if you think it's worth it then the price may not matter too much.

Alright, so I'm on a 2 year contract, and I get my upgrade in August. A few months ago, I was told my upgrade was on June 16, which is 5 days before my birthday so I was very excited because my mom was going to get me the LG Voyager for $100 off. But the thing is, now I can't wait until August. I wanna buy the Voyager now, but how much will it be if I'm already on a 2 year contract? My mom won't pay the $460 or whatever full price for it. Can I get it for less since I'm already in a 2 year plan?

If your two year contract is up in august, you can upgrade now with a discount but it won't be the same price. When your contract is up, you will have to pay $249.99 with the new two year contract price. If you get it now, you will pay much less. Why can't you just upgrade now?? Call them or go to a local verizon store.

It depends where you go to college & what program you do. I would suggest looking for a school that has a nutritionist program. You'll complete your four years there & then you have to do a dietic internship for at least a year, sometimes two. You'll have to sit for your exam after that or you can go into more schooling if you want a higher degree. After your four years in college, you can sit for your Bachelors in Science in nutrition. You can go for either your Bachelors or your Masters. It just depends on how far you want to go with it and what you're expecting for your salary. hi i'm 16/f 5'3-4" 140 lbs

okay so recently i've became a vegetarian. and i want to loose some weight for the spring, i'm thinking about 10-15 lbs. i know you need to eat healthy and exercise so please don't tell me that. it's just that now i've become a vegetarian i find myself eating more carbs like pasta and beans alot. i know i eat alot of carbs and i eat salads too because i don't really know what else to eat. i also don't know how much to exercise, it would be great if sometime gave me a routine to follow because once i know what to do exactly, i will do it. it there anyone out there who can tell me what to eat per day and how much to exercise, and doing what? i mainly wanna loose weight in my stomach, legs, and arms oh and i have these really annoying love handles that i want to get rid of. can somebody please help me and give me a routine to follow and what to eat per day? thank you so much i really appreciate it.

I lost over 40 lbs in the past year. I'll admit that I went a bit too far, but I'm now in recovery and getting myself back to a healthy weight. For starters, do not ever starve yourself. Even if you aren't seeing fast results that you may want, don't become discouraged and not eat. It only hurts you in the long run. Weight loss or even weight gain takes time in different situations. Here are a few things that may help you out.

-drink plenty of water. not enough water can make you dehydrated.
-avoid white foods. eat whole grain products such as 100% whole grain breads, pastas, cereals, and bars.
-drink 100% juices with no added sugar. limit yourself to only a few cups a day or the calories start adding up.
-eat every 3+ hours to keep a fast metabolism
-eat plenty of fruits/veggies. basically as much as you want. they still have calories though.
-eat when you're hungry, stop when you're full. don't let yourself be hungry for hours at a time.

Watch labels! You should be looking at calories, grams of fat/saturated fat, grams of sugar, and grams of sodium.

For exercising, I think running is the best. Try walking/jogging/running in that order for about an hour five times a week. Then the other two days try a brisk walk or a light jog. If it becomes too much, try making it easier, or if its too easy you can challenge yourself a bit. Try finding a friend or family member to exercise with to make things more fun and to give yourself positive motivation.

Carbs are not always bad. I've always have eaten lots of carbs. You just need to eat every few hours to keep your metabolism up. You should try eating breakfast, have some fruit a few hours later, lunch, veggies a few hours later, dinner, and then a snack of your choice a few hours before you go to bed. The only meats I eat are chicken and turkey. Make sure you get the right amount of nutrients though because there are certain important nutrients you need that are limited to meats. It wouldn't be a bad idea to talk to your doctor.

I put your information into a calorie counter, and for a 16 year old female that is 5'3-5'4 and weighs approximately 140 lbs, you should be eating around 2000 calories if you are exercising, and can go up to about 2200 if you increase your amount of activity. On days you don't exercise, you can probably eat around 1800-1900 calories.

I've been doing some research on smoking cigarettes while taking oral contraceptives.

If one were to smoke a very little amount (i.e. 1-2 cigarettes a week) while on birth control, would it still be enough to cause harm?

Smoking can cause harm in general. Smoking at all affects birth control. You need to decide what is more important to you. Would you rather give up smoking or birth control? Talk to your Gyno about this or whoever prescribed you the pill.

Its common to not gain trust, especially if you haven't been dating for too long. Think of it this way. If he was planning on getting into relationships with these girls, would he tell you about them?? Probably not. It's a good sign that he tells you he wants you to meet them. If he was trying to cheat on you or go behind your back, he wouldn't mention them. That doesn't mean if he stops talking about them that he is interested in pursuing relationships with them though. If you feel that you don't trust him, talk to him about it. You should be able to work something out if you both care enough about each other to keep a steady relationship going. If he hasn't done anything specific for you to get the idea that he wants to date other girls, then you probably shouldn't worry too much about it. Also, you can't control what other girls do. If they flirt or hit on him you can't control that. Just make sure he isn't doing it back. If you notice that he is or he isn't stopping it, then you should talk to him about it.

Whole grain foods are foods that aren't white. For example, instead of eating regular white bread, eat 100% whole wheat bread. Here are a few ideas:

-whole grain bread, pastas, cereals and granola bars [listed on the package if it contains whole grain ingredients]
-any fruit/veggies
-100 calorie packs
-granola bars [watch sugar/fat content]
-cereals high in fiber and protein
-lean meats such as chicken and turkey
-lots of water

okay so this might sound really stupid but like.. im so confused haha..

alright so i know your suppose to use the renewing cleanser first.. then the Revitalizing Toner and then the repairing lotion.. but then i have the oil control and refining mask and my question is.. people told me to put the refining mask on at night.. but i use all products morning and night and it works but like.. if you put the refining mask on at night after all the 3 steps wouldnt that just wash everything off? are you suppose to use the mask first? i dont know im confused about that someone explain to me what i should do in steps? thank you so muchhh, ill rate high.

So I was thinking about getting birth control..no im not sexually active im deff. a virgin! But i wanted to get it for my boobs. Im literally not even an A and im 16..its kinda embarresing. I want to be atleast a 36-A or something you know attractive and normal. Im really skinny and tall. But i can eat like anything I just cant get boobs =/ it sucks. I used Lo-Estrin24 to regulate my periods and the whole "your breasts will grow" myth isn't true. I'm sure in some cases it may have caused girl's cup size to grow, but in most it hasn't. I haven't seen a difference at all. It's just a myth and they tell you that as a side effect just incase. There's a really low chance of your cup size growing. Also, it isn't healthy to go on birth control unless you actually need it. You should only go on it if your doctor approves it. It most likely will not make them bigger. If your boyfriend isn't happy because your breasts aren't big enough, that's ridiculous and stupid and you might want to reconsider dating him. If he hasn't actually said this but you feel this way, it doesn't matter. It isn't your fault that your cup size isn't exactly what you want it to be. Birth control is used for a number of things, but not for increasing your cup size.
