there's a number of things that could have caused your period to be late, you're under some stress, or you just haven't gotten into a steady cycle for your period yet. don't worry just relax and talk to your mom, she'll explain everything to you. it's nothing bad

no, it's not possible to get pregnant during your period because the egg isn't able to get fertilized. if you used a condom there is a chance that you will get pregnant if it breaks so with that just be carful. but like i said before you can't get pregnant while on your period, you will learn that one day in health class at school

My friend has been dating this guy (he's 15 and she's 13)and he wants her to sleep with him. She keeps asking me what to do, but i don't know what to tell her. I know she doesn't love him (i don't even think she likes him) and when ever i tell her what she doen't want to hear(like "no") she gets really mad and goes to our other friend who keeps telling her to do it(but she doesn't even know what she's taking about.) you can't tell your friend when she is ready to have sex. she's the only one who knows but if she doesn't love him then i think that you should tell her to wait until she finds a guy that she knows she loves. but she really is the only one who knows if she wants to have sex with him. you're not her and you can't read her mind

My and my boyfriend have been dating for almost 15 months and we have come close to have sex sooo many times... the only thing stopping us is that he doesnt have condoms. We both know that if he did, that we would probably end up doing something if we had the chance, but we are also both worried about pregnancy! Thats why we are hesitant about buying condoms.
I am 16 and he is 17.

ok yeah buying condoms can be a little embarassing, but it's even worse to have to tell your parents that you are pregnant. if you want to have sex with your boyfriend either talk to your mother and see if she will put you on the pill, or use condoms. i recommend even if you use the pill use condoms because they aren't always 100% effective. and don't worry everything will be ok

i've missed two periods, there's no way i'm pregnant, i've never had sex. is something wrong? i started them about 11 months ago now.
that happened to me when i first started my period, my mom told me that it's ok, she said that it is most likely because i haven't gotten into a steady monthly cycle. you'll be ok

My names not important, but i've been cutting myself alot lately. It's really hard to stop. It just seem's liek its there for me when I'm down or depressed. I really need help but I don't want to tell my family. My familys falling apart already as it is and I don't want to add stress to anyone. It's just hard to stop. It just feels like something to bounce back on. Anybody have advice on what I could do to stop cutting myself.. maybe something else to do instead of that.. I dont know. Thanks alot. (F/14)

depressed, you may not believe me, but i know exactlly how you feel. i used to cut myself so much and i've got the scars to prove it, i've had a lot of problems in my life so i can relate. it's a good idea to talk to someone you might think that it will add stress to your family but they care about you and i'm sure that they would do anything they can to help you. this is what i did to help stop my cutting, i talked to my bestfriend and he told me something that i think might help you out, no matter what you might think or feel, someone loves and cares for you. you are not alone, another thing that i did to help myself stop is, i got a journal. now not everything i wrote was just thoughts some were poems, lists, or even doodles. just anything you're feeling or thinking you can write down, cutting is not your only option you can talk to someone or like i said get a journal and when you are feeling like you want to cut start writing and don't stop until you are feeling better. or hey another good thing to do would be do your most favorite activity like cooking, watching a movie, play a game, or come talk on the computer. and hey if you need someone to talk to, i'm here for you

gracie, this is one of the hardest things for anyone to go through being raped is not easy for anyone. but when it's a family member that's even worse because this is supposed to be someone that you can trust not someone that you have to be afraid of. do yourself a favor, wait until you can be alone in the house or anywhere with your mother, tell her and don't be afraid, there's a chance that it might get blamed on you or you might think it's your fault, well let me tell you now, IT IS NOT YOUR FAULT! tell your mom and then call the police. it's not safe for you or any siblings you might have to have your father in your house if he can't be trusted. he needs help but not only that you need help to, a situation like this can do a lot of damage to your self-esteem as well as effect your future relationships with any men. please for your own sake tell someone before it's to late and never ever blame yourself. remember your mother won't judge you and no one else will either.

at what age should you get a boyfriend/girlfriend? what if you are interested in girls and you are a girl.....when should you tell someone?
there's no real age to start dating someone, you're the only one who can know when you're ready to start looking for someone that you want to be with. and if you are a girl and you like another girl, that's ok there's nothing wrong with you or anyone else who feels that way it's healthy and fine. just as long as you are happy with yourself you have nothing to worry about don't listen to anything negative you might here from anyone, it's your life, it's your business. good luck with everything

Theres this guy..lets call him fred. Fred and I went out a lot and his friends don't like me at all and neither did his ex g/f's so we broke up. We stayed friends and then towards the end of the school year we seemed to drift apart. Just recently we started talking on the phone again (like for 2 hours at a time!) and I'm starting to develop really strong feelings for him again. When I tell him...he doesn't take me seriously anymore and tells me he loves me even though I know he doesn't really mean it the way I do. What do I do??

it doesn't matter how his friends feel about you, or how your friends feel about him. follow your heart, i know it sounds cheesy but remember this no one can control your love life but you. there's only one real way to know if he is telling you the truth when he says that he loves you, and that's for him to look you in the eyes and be able to say with a straight face that he loves you. remember this one thing though, your friends may have your back but that doesn't mean that they are right when it comes to how you feel about a guy. your friends can't tell you who to love just be true to yourself and your heart and everything will be ok.
