ok. there is this kid that lives down my street.. he's really cute & all.. but we never talk. we've gone to elementary school together, middle school.. and now we're going into high school. i don't know if i actually like him, like as a boyfriend. but i am interested in him & would like to atleast become friends with him. once in a while he'd come over & play basketball with my brother, & my friends would be over & we'd hang out. but the thing is, he seems really shy. & the other thing is.. so am i. so it would be really hard to start talking. i think it would be really cool to walk with him to school on the first day & stuff, you know? i'd have someone to talk to. but i don't know how to start that. how can i start talking to him? remember, i'm really shy, so it'd be REALLY awkward for me to like, ring his doorbell or something like that. so please don't suggest that. thank youu.

Shy boys tend to be really nice and have a lot to say actually once you get them talking :]
Just show that your interested in getting to know him and ask him about himself, and just be yourself, ask him if he wants to come over and play a game or something. The biggest thing you need to over come is your shyness, if you can, he can! So swollow your nerves and your shyness and say hi, and talk to him. And maybe if things dont seem awkward and you guys get closer, casually bring up maybe walking to school together on the first day?
And to talk to him or something, if you have is IM or myspace or xanga, or something, ask him on there :]

Oh but I mean honestly,
if he does come over or something,
keep talking, dont let the awkward silence set in, or he probably wont want to hang out again.

i don't want to have to change my tampon during school, but i'm afraid of getting TSS. if i left it in all day i would have it in from 6:30-3. that is like 8 1/2 hours. i know that your not suppose to wear it for more than 8 hours, but what are my chances of actually getting TSS if i do this? thanks :]

In a rare case you could get TSS,
but dont risk it.
During school you get breaks,
which usally gives you enough time to change them, during your lunch our , or if you have some time inbetween classes.

well this girl isn't exactly my friend but like she is so mean to me because supposbly i'm 'full of myself' I don't say anything too bad just once in awile i'll be like wow i llok good today or i'll say something nice about myself. I know situations like this seem like theres nothing you can do, but you've apoligzed and thats all you can do. Even though it doesnt seem to be your fault, you were the bigger person.

For some reason, I find that running on the treadmill is much easier than running outside, like on an actual track.

For example, I can run for over 30 minutes nonstop on the treadmill, but I can only run for less than 15 on the track.

Anyone know why the treadmill is easier than running on the track?

I think its easier because you dont see
the rest of the track you still have to run.

Well if you havent done anything to prove to them that you are "hot and easy"
the boys can just find out for themselves.

you havent realized that popularity isnt everything.
You think you have a lot of drama in middle school? Wait until highschool sweetheart.
Getting popular isnt going to stop the "drama" its most likely going to make worse drama, and more of it.
Because people who are popular dont tend to treat what they call "nerds,geeks,preps..etc" very nicely. They label people and are only nice to who they choose.
TO be "popular" you should be NICE to EVERYONE.

I finished school early today and I went to meet my mum outside the school. As I was getting into the car, I noticed the most popular guy in school walk past and he goes "Thanks for last night! See you tomorrow"

I don't get it. What exactly did he mean by this? My mum said he was trying to make me laugh. I'm..err.. not so popular so I have no clue why he would talk to me. He blew me a kiss once when I was in the car with my mum too. He is a major flirt and does get a lot of girls so I'm not sure if it means anything.

Whenever I shave my legs I always get cuts. So I tried using shaving cream but that only irritated them, and now I have little red dots everywhere! So what are some good razors that I can use, that aren't exspensive, to have smooth legs? And nair is out of the question. Thanks in advance.

I use schick quattro for women,
it has 4 blades and a comfort strip,
and it works really well for a close shave.
Also I use shaving cream with baby oil for sensetive skin. And after I'm done I put skinsosoft (avon brand) oil stuff on my legs to make them soft, and smooth. :]

to start things off im 15/F..
my best friend and i have been friends since the 5th grade.(and by best friends, i mean you COULD NOT seperate us!) then towards the end of my 8th grade year i moved about 45 minutes away. we still kept in touch by phone calls and we always hung out. but this past summer was hard for me to get out places. i always had things to do, or i already made previous plans with people. and now i think that shes uber mad at me because i cant do anything. she says: "you said we would hang out over the summer.. and you go and make other plans" the thing is, ive had these plans since the end of the school year, its not like i can ignore them. and i really dont want to lose her as a friend, but now im not even in her profile, and its because i couldnt hang out.. when one of us can drive.. things will be different, because then we dont have to worry about getting rides places, but im wondering(AND HOPING!) that our friendship will last that long.. what can i do to explain to her that im not ignoring her or anything? and ive already tried to just tell her straight out. it doesnt work! any advice will be appreciated!

she cant be angry at you for having a life.
You need to as calmly as you can,
or write her an email, explaining that you have had these plans for some time now, and that you shouldnt be angry at her for living your life.
People change, and relationships drift apart, its sad, but sometimes it happens.
Dont worry about being in her profile, on myspace? It doesnt matter at all, if she is really your friend she wouldnt do stuff like that.
Just finally for the last time be like "I'm sorry you feel if I'm ignoring you, because I'm not. Its perfectly normal to be nervous around guys,
I never really have been, but thats just me.
The main thing is be yourself, and dont let anyone pressure you to do anything you arent ready to do. And there is no problem with not having sex at your age. I suggest waiting until marriage, since a lot of teens dont realize that sex is awkward, and not like the sex scenes on tv and in movies, real life sex is nothing like that. So dont worry about it, its best you have it when you are really with the person you are absolutely sure about.

I honestly would give up.
Dont follow around someone if they dont like you, and the age difference does make a big deal.
If your in highschool, 2 years difference IS going to matter a lot. numbers dont matter when you are out of highschool. If your trying so hard for him to notice you, and he still hasnt and its been this long. Give up!
I mean its pretty obvious he's not interested in you, he has his own girls who want him, and I mean, it seems your out of your league, and I know this sounds harsh,

But dont worry about it,
once highschool starts,
if your worried about being too tall,
