Whenever I shave my legs I always get cuts. So I tried using shaving cream but that only irritated them, and now I have little red dots everywhere! So what are some good razors that I can use, that aren't exspensive, to have smooth legs? And nair is out of the question. Thanks in advance.
MAK answered Sunday August 13 2006, 5:34 pm: well i advise you not to shave your legs for a couple of weeks, or until your cuts and stuff heal. use moisturizing lotion everyday, twice a day if you can!! (i really recomend aveeno for dry skin) after your skin is healed, wet your legs with warm water, apply cream or gel (i recomend gel) and lather. make sure your razor is wet!!! shave going up, and try to make each stroke as long as possible. and take your time!!! dont move the razor too fast, or you will get razor burn. ouch. then, rinse your legs off with warm water. pat dry, then apply lotion. hope this helps!!

Helpful answered Saturday August 12 2006, 10:53 pm: This may sound really wierd, but men's razors will give you a really close shave. When you shave, use slow, careful strokes to avoid as many cuts as you can. Hope I helped! [ Helpful's advice column | Ask Helpful A Question ]
babiigirl answered Saturday August 12 2006, 10:30 pm: I use the schick intuition and i love it. I never cut myself. its around $10 at walmart & drugstores.
DefinedEyes answered Saturday August 12 2006, 9:01 pm: I use schick quattro for women,
it has 4 blades and a comfort strip,
and it works really well for a close shave.
Also I use shaving cream with baby oil for sensetive skin. And after I'm done I put skinsosoft (avon brand) oil stuff on my legs to make them soft, and smooth. :] [ DefinedEyes's advice column | Ask DefinedEyes A Question ]
xokristabelle answered Saturday August 12 2006, 8:29 pm: Use the Venus Vibrance razor- it's electric but you can use it in water. I used to have the same problem but the Vibrance works really well. It's about $10 for starter, then $12 for four refill razor blades. It's not the shaving cream that's irritating your legs, it's the razor- for now at least wash it in hydrogen peroxide- that should help. Also shave slowly- going too fast is what usually causes cuts.
ChosenSummerGirl answered Saturday August 12 2006, 7:14 pm: You could try cutting your legs more carefully. Or Maybe you are allergic to shaving cream you are using. Also sometimes if you go to the beach right after shaving red bumps will appear on your legs. Because of the salt water...
ifonlytheskywasgreen answered Saturday August 12 2006, 5:51 pm: I use the intuition razors, and I hardly ever get cuts or razor burn. Although, you do have to buy cartridges for it occasionally. Also, try getting a mosturizing lotion to put on after you shave your legs, I believe that are some aftershave for women's legs, that usually helps.
